BTW, on your videos on flight travels, can you touch upon your experiences with security check points and other points of potential delays to the gate? Like how much time in line, etc. We ran into a very backed up security line in Frankfurt when returning home from Venice. If we didn't have a surreal piece of luck, we would have likely missed our connection despite an hour-plus layover. Another topic for videos is is layover stops - where you ate, bathrooms, comfort of chairs, etc.
Absolutely, great suggestion and we will make sure to apply to future videos! For this trip, all of our flights were on time! We took a positioning flight from DEN-ORD on Southwest in the morning and then took Air France from ORD-CDG direct that evening. Security at DEN, ORD and CDG were quick! We have Global Entry/TSA Pre-Check which expedites the process with security and customs which were also fairly quick and easy on both ends of the trip. We didn't check bags so we don't have any experience with bag delays on this trip. We took the train from the airport into the city center and that all went smoothly as well. The only metro issue we had on the trip was to Disneyland which we talked about in our next video and that was due to unforeseen circumstances. Hope this helps!
It was an earlier Southwest flight from Chicago back to Denver (we were just scheduled on a later one because we weren't sure if there would be any flight delays from our international flight). We just walked up to the counter at the gate and asked if there was space to be on the earlier one and they had only sold like 50 seats so there was plenty of room. No cost and we didn't have any checked bags so that was helpful too.
Loved Paris in the off-season!
Thanks for posting - we're headed that way this year. Really good info both from what you said and visually.
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy your trip! If you have any other questions, please let us know!

How did you get on an earlier flight? Was it the same airline and there was space? Did you have to request in advance?
