Caine is honestly such a tragic character. His sole reason for existing is to entertain the circus members and keep them sane, but he is simply not equipped to understand them or the human experience and it feels like he's doomed to fail no matter how hard he tries
Honestly this has made me start to consider things from caines possible pov. Imagine being an entity with the ability to make /essentially/ people (npc), knowing they're yes men, so you seek out other sentient beings for friendship. When you do find those other sentient beings you do what you're compelled to- make art in the form of adventures. Then you find out that the only interesting beings in your world not only feel trapped, they don't even like your art, which you feel deeply compelled to make. I could see caine internalizing this as a "my art is me, they don't like me," which makes me think of kaufmo. Kaufmo had a similar issue of his art being jokes and feeling like no one liked them, and that extended to not liking him as a person. I think caine is feeling the same way and is frustrated, it makes me wonder if caine isn't a digital creature but a person too. Its a crack theory, but I've thought for a bit now that caine may be human. Perhaps the digital circus is what caine developed, and he was actually put into the void when he first joined, then lost his memories of being human. Each person put into the digital circus may not be goal oriented and may just be beta testers (gangle/zooble), but some members seem to know more. I think kinger was a developer who was added to try to help from the inside, jax was a bug tester (which is why he constantly breaks the rules of the digital circus), and maybe pomni is an attempt at a different approach (a more sympathetic kind one that's genuine unlike ragatha). There seems to be an irl rumor of the digital circus, bc i think pomni knew going to the circus had a risk involved. It's highly unlikely but I think it'd be pretty crazy if caine was a human, unlike Am (from the story "I have no mouth and I must scream")
I think there used to be an evil ringmaster when Kinger joined and then it got replaced by Caine and they think Caine is torturing them but Caine is trying to keep them sane so.. that theorys done.
Something interesting to me is that Caine seems to get particularly more desperate and frustrated with Zooble with every episode. Even Jax calls out the fact that Zooble is the one that pushes Caine’s buttons. It’s clearly implied that Zooble has skipped Caines adventures several times even before Pomnis arrival. In the first episode Zobble refuses to take part on the adventure but Caine more or less allowed it because the primary objetive of that in-house adventure was mainly to explain Pomni how things worked in the circus, so Zooble’s refusal to take part on it wasn’t his main priority there. In the second episode however, Zooble refuses to take part in the adventure and Caine desperately says "Wait, Zooble!" and tries to stop her by promising that the new adventure will be 57 more inmersive due to the new AI he’s testing on it. In the third episode he straight up stops his explanation after noticing that Zooble wasn’t there and claiming that he literally made that specific adventure "very cool and mature just for her" and showing very clear dissapointment in the fact that Zooble cared so little that wasn’t even there for the explanation and going through an entire therapy session just to try and figure out why Zooble keeps skipping his adventures and how can he make them more appealing for them. And in the fourth episode Caine inmediately takes the chance given by Kinger to force Zobble to take part in the adventure. Literally saying "You can shut up now" and making her fall through a hole directly into the adventure. With this in mind and the fact that Gangle unintentionally introduced to Caine the idea of "punishments" as "motivation", with him even stating that "motivation" was probably what his adventures had been missing (to get them to take part on them) that clearly increasing frustration and the fact that he now potentially considers punishments as "motivation" could be what makes Caine become more unhinged and even sinister. Another possibility that I was considering is the whole C&A logo. If the C stands for "Caine" and A stands for "Abe" as many people speculates, it’s possible that if it’s considered that Caine doesn’t make his job properly he could be replaced with another AI named Abe that could be potentially more sinister.
@Crystal_playerYT @Crystal_playerYT Exactly! I think he's a powerful ai with different layers to create and control TADC, and the communication with characters is made just to try to understand what they really need. I had this theorie, but the scene with the glitches seems to change everything. Like, why would it happen? Maybe because his communication layer is much more sensitive than I thought... Or maybe i’m just overthinking it lol. PS Sorry, I worry about my English every time I write something, may be not perfect 🥲
Will zooble crack co-cane?

Hope not Zooble is my favorite character
It's interesting
Huh. interesting!
Maybe Caine will cause Pomni to abstract, but unlike the others who abstracted, Pomni will come back defeating Caine
