The raw heaviness of Steve Jones' tone is unbelievable. So distinctive and he doesn't move his wrist or hand so much - it's just him. Incredible.

I like the song, but look where cynicism about the #church has gotten us- into the powerful hands of a much worse religion, ☪️ Islam. It’s almost like God said- Right then, if you Londoners don’t appreciate My Son, the other lot get the East End..

There isn't a part that is different than how I'd want to do it if i was trying to get this punk thing to take off. They're the funnest punk band. I don't want to ask for more because that would just be Ego. I understand there is no way they could have kept it up for more than the one album. It is just the right amount and it is as close to perfect as a rock band has ever been.

Lydon wrote this song to bypass UK censors. He wanted to use the word c-u-n-t on TV and wrote Pretty Va-c-u-n-t. You have to admire someone who challenges the establishment. He still does to this day.

My good maxbillie. I imagine you to be quite young though I confess I may be wrong. Do give a listen to the Stooges (Iggy Pop) 1967, New York Dolls 1971 and the Ramones 1974 who gave birth to the Sex Pistols and punk in the UK. There were others as well but this should give you a good start.

As someone who saw the pistols back in the day and lived through the punk era , I now watch stuff like this and just see johns behaviour on stage as embarrassing. Much as I loved them and other punk bands in my youth , even early PIL , only a few bands can still perform live and play as they used to.
