- I was pleasantly surprised at how well this turned out and what little mess there was!
Bacon - Cooked in the Oven
Ingredients:
Bacon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
Line a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Place bacon in a single layer without them touching.
Cook for 12 - 18 minutes depending on how thick your bacon is and how crisp you like your bacon.
Then you can either drain your grease into a coffee cup if you're going to make another batch and use the same parchment paper, or let the grease cool and then throw the parchment paper away.

Hi Jenny, I've done bacon this way for a long time so I've got some friendly advice for you! Put parchment on top the bacon to prevent any greasy splatters. Remove the parchment during the last few minutes to give bacon crispy edges if you like it crispy. And it's okay if the bacon strips touch each other or even overlap as they shrink so much when cooking. That way you can almost double the amount of bacon on the cooking sheet and it's exactly the same when done and you have twice as much! Take care, Jenny 🥰
Thank you so much for the tips! ☺
Bacon is definitely a nice treat to have ever-so-often! Definitely have to try it in the oven - looks great! Have an amazing week and take care!
Thank you! I was surprised how easy it was cooking it in the oven. We might it more often now. I didn't like cooking it so often because of all the stove top cleaning afterwards. I hope you have a wonderful week, also! ☺
It didn't shrink like bacon cooked on the stove. Looks good! Great idea. Thanks
Yeah, I was surprised it was done because it hadn't shrunk much. ☺
Hi Jenny, I wish I had Smell-a-vision....😊 because I know that bacon smells Yummy!
Glad the oven is not a greasy mess....cause I know the mess it makes when it is fried on top of the stove! Great demonstration Jenny!
Enjoy your evening! Enjoy the Bacon! Take care! I
Enjoyed the little blooper at the end! 😂
Thank you! And, yes, the bacon smelled and tasted so good! I was happy for not having to clean up so much. I hope you enjoy your week! ☺
TH-cam must have smelled my kitchen....I just took the thick slice bacon out of the oven and opened my laptop....and you (Jenny Rice for the first time for me) popped up with your inaugural foray into oven bacon. I use stainless steel cookie tray (with raised edges) and after I pour off the grease they clean up easily. I will try the parchment paper. Also...if you "frill" the bacon (lift rashers to look like an inchworm) it shortens each, leaving room for more rashers as well as letting the shrinkage take place. I feel like your vid arriving just now was a cosmic bacon experience. What fun!
Ha, ha, how neat! 😄
It's looks better then microwave bacon like it cooks more evenly. Have A Beautiful Day Jenny ❤
Thank you! You have a wonderful week, also! ☺
Looks good
It tasted really good, too! I was happily surprised! ☺
Looks yummy! I’m going to try this. Bacon 🥓 is my favorite breakfast food 🥞
I love this video! I’ve always wanted to do this but was worried it would a big mess! I’m totally going to do it now! Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
The bacon was so easy to cook this way and there was way less clean up. I think I'll be making it more often now. ☺
@@sandybee6956 Me, too! I figured the whole inside of the oven would be filled with spatters, but I didn't see any. This makes making bacon way more easier so I think I'll be making it more often! ☺
I hate frying bacon on the stove because it always splatters and I get burnt! So trying this soon as it's my son's favorite'
Thank you!
Me, too! I didn't like how long it took to clean up the stove top. This is so easy that I will be making bacon more often now. ☺
What degree do you cook it on
400 degrees
