Gerald Corey, one of the greatest world-renowned bassoon performers, the former principal bassoon of the National Arts Centre Orchestra (NACO) in Ottawa for more than 30 years, engraved on the score: "To Maya, On the occasion of my first performance and recording of your 'Capriccio' for solo bassoon, I want you to know that this composition is now my favorite solo bassoon piece to play for many audiences - it is great!" - Gerald E.
