I mean its only fair for dusk borne to start making wildly aggressive formula seeing how many kindred want to kill them for just existing.
A very good point. Also creates a fun little cycle of kindred trying to kill duskborn for because their existence is supposed to be dangerous, duskborn coming up with deadly formula because everyone is trying to kill them, kindred trying to kill duskborn because they're actually dangerous now.
Love the positivity, gets me to appreciate the book a bit more. Really wanted more spells, but the thematic elements really do add a lot to the stories. Just reading the NPC blocks alone gave me ideas on antagonists and story beats lol. Quality book
Totally agree. At first it felt like a lot of spells, but after getting struck with inspiration I needed so many more. I hope people start coming up with their own and sharing them.

33:30 I feel like thats the point of Tremere. They don't fit in, they have to leverage their unique property of having blood magic based around Hedge Magic to get in vampire society. They aren't just some vampire clan. They are the usurpers. They were viewed before as upstart mages who stole their immortality.
I think that is an accurate take. This is also one of the reasons why I don't like them. The point of the clan is so bland and not enough to justify their existence. They have no desire to fit in. They just study magic and only leveraged their power to carve out a place in kindred society as a necessity. They're still just doing wizard stuff and have wizard motivations, but happen to be vampires so gotta deal with some vampire stuff along the way too.
Also don't take this too seriously because I'm a Tremere hater and Mage lover and the usurpers are an affront to all I hold dear. Ignore how much I still use them in my VtM games.

TTRPG reviews are a weird thing. I'm hoping being completely open about my personal tastes and then just covering the material is more useful than pretending like something this subjective can be strictly good or bad.

Sounds like this is what i been wanting, aka blood sorcery should be creepy and preferably as weird as possible.
Also sounds like TBA is still the new V20 thaumaturgy.

I guess this book turns the Thin-Blood into glass cannons, like high-risk high reward when it comes to combat.
True. They really do have some off-the-wall offensive alchemy now that makes them a serious threat in the right circumstances, but also fodder if caught off guard. Though if you wanted to build a combat-focused Duskborn, they could be a real unit with the right merits. Vampiric Resilience and Discipline Affinity: Fortitude alone would mean all cannon no glass.

Being a Tremere hater and loving this book made me feel drunk so that tracks
