    Wait, so he wanted her to have the foresight to consider that he would want a meal when he came home late at night after being on a plane but he couldn’t have the foresight and consideration to think she doesn’t want to take small children to urgent care? This is really quite sad.

    Ugh, here from TikTok again. It's despicable behavior, frankly, if a husband doesn't just assume he will be watching the kids while his wife is at URGENT CARE. Good grief, I wouldn't even have to hint at it or be sarcastic. There is clearly some very toxic, narcissistic behavior on Nate's part and the fact that your two sit down to do marriage advice videos is appalling. My husband (of 19 years) and I are also conservative Christians, and we are far from perfect and marriage is very hard, but if I were headed to urgent care for any reason he'd drop everything to help me, no questions asked. It's sad to me that Sutton tolerates this gross behavior from her husband, and furthermore that you two think this kind of content sets a good example. What's worse, TikTokers looking to hate on Christianity are using Nate's toxicity as examples of why Christianity is bad. Gah. Stop giving them perfect content! 🤦🏼‍♀️

    So you have to read his mind when it comes to dinner, but he can’t read yours when it comes to his kids? Grow up bro. Be better to your wife. You found an amazing woman. Treat her accordingly. And Sutton don’t let him treat you that way. He needs to watch the kids when you go do stuff. ESP going to urgent care. And the face he made when you were talking about it is terrifying. And why do I see her apologizing more or taking responsibility more?

    • @Brittanyshannon22

      Also let me say this, my husband is a plumber/ac tech. He works every day sometimes 80 hrs a week. But when he is home if I need to go do something or run errands he automatically offers to watch the kids at home. We have 4 kids. There is no excuse for him not to watch his own fuckin children! Like I’m sorry your husband is this way. And I hope you know that it’s not okay behavior

    This is why putting women in a subservient echo chamber is so abusive to them. She thinks it’s her fault he didn’t watch the kids while she went to urgent care. No sweetie, if he cared about your well being even in the slightest he would have the care and compassion to think of someone’s needs besides his own. It shouldn’t have even been a discussion or a question. It should be a given because expecting the opposite is ludicrous. Yea take my two children to a waiting room chock full of sick ppl when they’re of the age they lick everything and can’t sit still. It’s the better option then me (their father) watching them at home. Do you see how completely stupid that is? I really hope you can find a way out someday and someone who treats you and cares for you the way a husband should treat and care for his wife.

    The low key satisfaction in Nate’s eyes when Sutton said yes to the muscle mass question 😂
    From my own perspective, I look for guys that balance out certain aspects of my personality and complement others. I’m quite introverted so I feel like I need someone to get me out of my shell to balance that, but then I also love deep intellectual conversations so I look for someone that can complement that aspect. There’s never a one size fits all personality and the same way there’s no one size fits all body type. We’re all created unique by God’s beautiful design so guys, don’t ever be discouraged! You all have wonderful personality traits that God gave you for a reason! Use it for His glory ❤️
    One thing that I personally find super attractive in a guy is when he is humbly but confidently living out his faith rooted in love… when you can tell a guy loves Jesus first… YES 🙌🏼

I always fear of a man who is rather too logical, realistic, calculative over and above the voice of the Holy Spirit because there is just no guarantee in this earth, rather God 1st then logic.

    No I think he definitely should have used his man brain to not be so obtuse and make you take the kids to a doctors appointment. Yes communication is good, but seriously. And how many videos I’ve watched and is lack of willingness to apologize to you as a Christian man is so mind blowing. PRIDE! What I find most attractive about my husband is that when I point something out, and it’s hurt me, even if he doesn’t agree he can say “I’m sorry that hurt you, that was never my intention and I’ll try and do better and find a different way” this man… I can’t. You should pray on that Nate. Humble yourself and serve your wife like she does for you. I can’t find the air port/not eating video on here right now or the working out after the baby video But look back please. Pray and reflect. Take yourself down a peg. Yes I get she didn’t “think” that as a grown man she would have to think about your needs without you actually communicating them to you, but you are also responsible for your self and your needs. Or the fact that doesn’t matter what you meant about the work out comments. You still hurt her feeling. Of course she’s still going to love you and move on, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take responsibility or that that’s such a sensitive time in a woman’s life and just saying “you know I love you no matter what you look like and God gave me you. I love you and I’m so sorry I made you feel that way, I never wanted to do that” humble yourself. What would Jesus do. We are all wrong doers. We all should be apologizing for hurting others intentional or not. Your wife is more precious that rubies. Love her as Christ loved the church. Feel sorry for hurting her. Think of her. God first, then her, then children, self LAST! You have a huge following. Be better buddy. Show the True Christ. Not this toxic man Christian image that’s giving anti Christians room to talk about on tiktok. We don’t need any more ammo to load into their weapons.

      Have you watched their other videos? Have you ever made a mistake or been inconsiderate? If you watch their numerous other videos and saw their love for Jesus and each other and the boundaries he put in place while dating, you would see he was honoring God. You shouldn’t judge someone from a short video. Further, you shouldn’t judge at all.

Why would you not immediately want to take that on so she didn't have to watch the kids in the waiting room of the hospital while simultaneously dealing with a health issue???

    This was a super fun video! Several of the things you guys talked about were exactly what I found so amazing about my husband. At the end of our first phone call (we met online) he asked if he could pray over us and it blew my socks off! He wears his heart on his sleeve and is never shy about saying how he feels. And the most important character trait was I wanted someone who loved God more than he loved me. I knew if he loved God more than me, he would resect and love me, and always follow Christ's lead in our lives. I knew there would be an incredible amount of safety in that. And now we're celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary next month!

    I love the book Redeeming Love and happy that the movie is true to the book. I am from Europe and just watched the movie recently. There was apparently so much debate going on in the Christian US about nudity and intimate scenes (it is covered) in the movie, and some youtubers basically telling Christians not to go. I find your positive short review refreshing and at the same time letting people know to be cautious of some scenes. I understand that for some people who are struggling with lust it might not be good idea to watch, but let it be their own conviction. Sometimes US christianity is standing so much for what they are against of and not what they are pro of, that they are turning non-Christians away. So thank you for your positive review! ❤

    Isn't Redeeming love like soft porn though? Don't you guys think it is being used to slowly incorporate some worldliness and lukewarmness to Christianity? Would anyone recommend to read the book to a girl in her twenties who has struggled with lust in the past? I would love to order it but I am quite hesitant because it seems to be getting mixed reviews.

    • @Mrs_Awili
      @Mrs_Awili 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I 100% agree on being VERY careful about this title in particular along with some of the author’s other books. It is def on the side of soft porn (didn’t see the movie) and I would argue it is not necessary to “entertain” Christians with romantic novels that include worldly lusts and fleshly desires so explicitly. I am a woman who struggles with lust/mental purity and I’ve not allowed myself to read this book because I don’t want to support romantic novels or to dwell on anything of this nature even if it is based on a biblical story. I wouldn’t let my kids read it if I had any. My 2 cents

    • @sandracrig378
      @sandracrig378 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree the book definitely has some definite descriptive scenes however, the book is fashioned from the book of Hosea in the Bible. If you read the book of Hosea before or after reading this book, you may see the story in a different light.In the book of Hosea, you will see that God ked Hosea to take a wife (not a pure wife) and the issues he experienced during his marriage. If you really think the story of the book through, one will see themself as the Harlot, in need of a savior. We, like Angel have many sins yet God loves us anyway and desires for us to turn to him and allow him to give us a better life. Yet, we just can’t comprehend his love and often turn away from him.

      @@sandracrig378 Then I'll just read Hosea. The author of Hosea didn't see ot fit to describe Hosea and Gomer's intimate moments and even song of songs isn't explicit.

    • @annabelkruger6341
      @annabelkruger6341 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In the NT God tells us not to be unequally yoked, and the book romanticizes being unequally yoked. They try to put a Biblical spin on it by saying that it is based on Hosea. God commanded Hosea specifically to marry Gomer to image God's faithfulness to His bride despite His bride's unfaithfulness toward Him. Hosea had a direct command from God, the unequally yoked command was only given in the New Testament, therefore Hosea did not sin. However, God established the terms for marriage clearly in the NT by telling us not to be unequally yoked. You do not marry a person in order to evangelise them, or to help them out of bad circumstances. Marriage is nog a charity case, you have to think about your children.

    The fact that that movie showed more than needed to and that was just from watching the trailer put me off the entire thing and you confirmed it. It should not matter how nice the story line is, either make a Christian movie that's a safe space to minister to people or don't bother at all. Putting all that in there would cause believers to stumble or give them an excuse to think that "it's a Christian movie so it's ok".

      The book of Hosea is not about a girl sold into sex slavery and rescued out of it but a picture for Israel to see their wilful, repeated, unrepentant rebellion against Him. This movie misses the entire point of what God is saying in this book.

      Marietta Van Middelkoop From my understanding neither the movie nor the book was meant to copy the book of Hosea, it’s very clearly said that it’s LOSELY based on the story of the couple in it, they literally say it inspired this story so you shouldn’t be going into it expecting that exact same theme or accuracy considering that’s not what the authors intent ever was.

    • @deborahbrant1150
      @deborahbrant1150 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @New Soul.9 I meant the character qualities of a man that are masculine according to the Bible, not the physical qualities that are masculine according to the world, which would be height.

    • @deborahbrant1150
      @deborahbrant1150 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @New Soul.9 Masculine or feminine can be applied to both behavior and physical qualities. In my comment, I was praising Sutton's preferences because she prefers the qualities of a masculine man, according to scripture. The world praises the physical qualities of what is masculine or feminine. Using that world's definition then yes, a flat chest and booty are not considered feminine and a short male isn't considered masculine. So you're right, that definition is stupid, but it's not the definition I am using. Being feminine or masculine means something different in the Bible. It's based on character not physical.

    • @deborahbrant1150
      @deborahbrant1150 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @New Soul.9 Every human is loved by God no matter how masculine or feminine they are. No matter how tall, how skinny. All individuals are created and formed by the Lord. We all have preferences in significant others and both Sutton and I were expressing our opinion. And you are too. So let's just leave it at that and all get along. 😆

    That face you make Sutton at 14:00 (after you guys made the cut) speaks volumes. The fear, confusion, and hurt you’re expressing is typical when being gaslit and mentally abused over time. It’s an insidious sin that can wreck havoc on everything the Lord calls for you as His Daughter. Bring it all to the light and model for your children God’s truth. I recommend individual therapy to find your voice and learn to take up room in this relationship. You are partners and not made to worship at the alter of a man’s ego.

    Imagine a 16 year old boy whos a Christian and has stayed away from the temptation of pornograohy and goes and sees this movie.... he might see what he is missing and go down a very dangerous road... I am so passionate about this because pornograhpy has hurt my relationship with my husband tremendously.. bottom line is that a "Christian" movie should never have scenes where you have to turn and look away.... thats ridiculous and I'm so disappointed that you guys are promoting it..

    What are your thoughts on age difference for couples?
    What are your thoughts on interracial couples?
    What are some important things to have in common besides sharing the same faith?
    Thanks again and hope you guys are staying safe and healthy.

    • @vivaeuropa
      @vivaeuropa ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just my thoughts as a follower of Christ:
      Age difference is fine as long as you guys are on the same page with when or if you want children. I'd recommend no more than a 10 year age gap because it's better to grow old at a similar rate instead of being alone when one spouse dies much sooner. You also have children who will get teased by other kids or feel embarrassed of a huge age gap relationship between their parents.
      Interracial couples are absolutely fine but you'll have to accept you'll be stared at much more in public places. Also you'll have to be okay with your children not looking like you.
      Making sure your core values align. For me I'd want someone who understands the importance of communication, manages money correctly, isn't too materialistic, compliments my personality, has a similar sex drive, wants children and is motivated.

      @@vivaeuropa I appreciate your feedback. I had at least two guys who showed interest in me, but they were 16 years older than me, I got to know them as friends, but I did not feel anything with them or felt God leading me to them. I always thought interracial dating was beautiful. Everyone is unique to me. My youngest niece does not look like her parents and both are white with brown hair and different color eyes, my niece has blond hair and blue eyes, but her hair is slowly turning brown. Thanks again 🥰🙏

    This man is so narcissistic. I cannot believe there are so many positive comments on this video. She had to go to urgent care and he couldn't pick up on the fact that he should watch their children??? And now when they are recounting this, he once again is acting like she is in the wrong?!? "Stick to reality". The reality is that you are a terrible husband and not a good Christian. A good man wouldn't even have to think about whether or not he should watch his kids while his wife goes to urgent care.

    I have a question for you that poped up in my head when Nate mentioned that he had to turn his head away from the screen. For a single I would say you should do that because otherwise it will provoke sinfull thoughts or even actions but what about married couples?? Would you say its not good for married couples if it is too revealing? Or even if you can´t see perticular bodyparts you shouldent fill your mind with it?

    • @RosyCheeksBoutiq
      @RosyCheeksBoutiq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would think possibly even more so when you’re married.. because I want my husband to only picture me and have thoughts about me, not the half naked girl on the screen. That being said, I’m not going to get mad if he doesn’t look away from a revealing scene. I would feel the love and respect if he did look away though.

    • @nateandsutton
      @nateandsutton  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I would say even more so in marriage you should avoid any kind of sensitive content!

    • @3psil0n78
      @3psil0n78 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nateandsutton Thank you guys for you answer! I think I know what you mean. I was not talking about verry explicit scense where you can see everything (I hope that in christian communities that is common sence). When I wrote my question I was more thinking about more romantik scense where you know they will do something or there is intense kissing.

    • @3psil0n78
      @3psil0n78 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RosyCheeksBoutiq I really apreciate your answer :) As I allready wrote to N&S I did not mean extremly revealing scenes because I think the less skin a man sees from other wimen the more he can concentrate on his wife for several different reasons. My question was aiming more towards sences that could induce sexual thoughts and phantasies that could make someone not married struggle with sin because he is not in this state where he can live that out freely with his wife.
      I understand that you would want him not to look at naked wimen in a movie but if the scene is less revealing but still quite steamy would you/wimen prefere that he looks away or if the man turns to you to picture you?? (Of course I understand if this question is to personal to answer it im just a curious jung man wanting to be the best husband he can be to the wife he might have some day :) )

    • @RosyCheeksBoutiq
      @RosyCheeksBoutiq 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3psil0n78 If I’m being completely honest I’m not sure I can fully answer this question as a woman because I have no idea how a man’s mind works (and I’m sure it’s different for everyone) but I know that if a steamy scene comes on I’m definitely not fantasizing about the guy, so I assume he’s not either about the woman. If either IS however having those thoughts, no matter how intense or revealing the scene is then I think it’s not a good idea to watch. So it kind of depends I guess. Just talk to your significant other and decide what both of you are and aren’t comfortable with. It’s definitely a personal preference and everyone will have different sensitivity levels. And always better to play it safe in my opinion.

      I think ppl shouldn’t listen to other ppls opinions before they see it (it just seems like u didn’t see it and watched a review to base ur opinion but correct me if I’m wrong) cause that had been proven psychologically to skew ur own bias since you haven’t formulated ur own opinion yet and are more susceptible to catering towards others esp if what they say you already agree with. I think it’s important we watch it ourselves and formulate our own opinions, there’s ppl who loved it and ppl who’ didn’t so it rlly is subjective
