in the case of a generator assembly with multiple fuel chambers does the maximum number of generator units increase? for example, if you had 2 fuel chambers would they need 6 generator units to reach their maximum output as they would if used in two distinct assemblies.
@@simulatorhaven thank you! with the game reaching early access so recently there isn't a ton of documentation on this sort of thing. as such, having community members who take the time to share their knowledge with the masses makes a huge difference. :)
@@simulatorhaven I was also wondering if there is a way to link non-contiguous components of a generator into a single assembly, be it to add redundancy or to fit components into a tight space. I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but I figured it was worth asking while I had the floor.
Do fuel chambers hooked up to the same generator units (like in your last example) act as a single generator (and so for example you would need to have only one pipe socket output) or do they act indipendently?
Yes that is correct, they will act as a single unit. So for example, you could have 1 generator unit and 3 fuel chambers(or any combo of the two) and that system would only need one pipe (or cable) socket board output.
Do you need to hook up cooling racks or radiators to each generator or just one? How do you put the coolant in and does in need to be replaced? You may have said it in the video but can you enhance your fuel storage as well?
You can have only one radiator/cooling rack per generator. But for larger generators you want more. Otherwise the cooling systems would have to be replaced a lot, especially when using cooling racks. In radiators the coolant is already there and it doesn’t need to be replaced for a *long* time. And if fuel is in storage (so not in current use) you cannot enhance it. Only when it is in the fuel chamber
Do you think large warships would have a place in the meta? Im also in the alpha and im building one, but im not sure if it will be effective or just target practice for fighter pilots
I think once faction warfare and taking down safezones becomes a thing, definitely. Right now their use would be extremely limited in my opinion. They would be, as you said, target practice. Only carriers may be viable for the foreseeable future, as fighters are generally better. Again though, that's just my opinion and I haven't really seen any big ship combat either.
i have a question. what if i do multiple generator systems on the ship and place them in different locations? will it use all the generator systems or just 1? or will it break it?
what kind of generator do i need to support a railgun (or deul rail guns). wanting to build a 1 man heavy figher armed with atleast 1 rail gun, 2 torpedoes, and 2 auto cannons.
An Eco mode can be made using a button. With that button you set the rate limit in the generator or fuel rod to a low value, like 10. Whereas when the button is not pressed have the value be something like 70 (or any higher number)
OMG, you are growing so fast!
Yeah, it's crazy! lol
Fantastic to find a short, to the point, well explained video on this. Super helpful. That's a sub from me. Keep up the good work!
Awesome video bro!

Yes thats correct

for some reason i cant get the generator to turn on for my own built ship, any suggestions?
Do you have a battery? That is a new thing that messes up generators
@@simulatorhaven yeah 4 of them

Key Notes
3:1 Generator-Chamber Ratio
Radiators don't need coolant
Cell cooled generators don't need pipe sockets.

Why is the pipe socket blue? 😶

Not sure yet. All the generator values have changed since this video so I need to remake it. The data should be in soonish
There is also a tier system now

What do you mean with same network?
That they are connected to each other with cables
I would like to see you use the Megahauler, do you stream?
1 more subscriber to go!!!!!🔥💯
Woke up and boom- it already happened!
Ah yes, Kerbal Space Program. Of course...
