The game just launched publicly he’s probably very busy making more content for us scrubs
Top tip: Pickup an item in your hand? press the E key to pick an item up and press the P key to put it into your inventory (if it will fit).
And don't let us end just here. Instead, press ~just~ [P] while looking directly at an item and it also gets picked up into your inventory!
That's especially helpful if bound to a quickly clickable button like middlemouse.

I heard from other content creators for the game that easy build mode is where you’ll build up your research points starting with crafting benches then get enough pints to unlock fuel rods

The green one is selling heavily edited player ones and dev ones, and often times, those edits are less than ideal.
@@kodeyPodey hmm good to know im guessing after getting experience and mats thoses ships will be getting bought and tuned to player liking thats what is exciting bout it heck the remodded versions might end up in the shop after a while well if kbot doesen't get his hands on it first haha

I know some people like that but its one of the things that attracted me to it, its not a sim, and this BS mechanics are just there to waste your time, they dont provide meaningful content in my opinion

Hi Kenetor, Really enjoying the videos and well produced content! Keep up the good work Mate. I've recently purchased the Buffalo after owning a few other ships early game. I must say it's an impresssively built and thought out ship and a pleasure to fly! Just noticed the Ore prices in this video around 12.44 mark and my jaw dropped lol... Is that how much the prices have fallen?

the economy in CA was very different to EA and had changed many times! i remeber in the first few months there was a Corazium craze, it was like 700k a stack to the station!
But back then only credits were used for ship building as the ore system wasnt built yet

hey Kev, good luck mate its very buggy at the moment, but has great potential. Watch as much vids you can , ones that are produced of late. good luck. i find the controls especially crafting are hard to master.

@@KenetorTV Nah your good, It just makes me cry a little. So much promise, but the lack of gameplay loops just make it not possible. Honestly don't know why they haven't turned the alpha vendors back on, that could spark some kinda of life into the corpse.

@@Poopynig69 Basically it didn't make enough revenue to devote continued development to it, its still a good game foundation, it just has not much to do after a point, no repeatability or endgame.
as Grimm said, they ran out of money, although they said they had funding available, but everything changed after russia invaded ukrain so they MIGHT have had russian investors and well that money was blocked by sanctions
I heard Starbase was launching to early access and instantly came back to get caught up.
A comment to promote the video
Great vid, thanks. This game looks really interesting. If they go with a NMS kinda model it'll be good. But if they monetize the hell out of it, which I see it is already setup in a way that makes it ready made for that, or the PVP makes it a " spend hours and hours designing/earning a ship to have some higher level troll or "pirate" destroy it in two minutes and your forced into PVP, I'm out.
Also if there is no real exploration, pois or some kind of SP goal but just mine, sell, buy ships and go fight then that will be a sad wasted opportunity for this game to be one of the great ones.
Having said all that I don't know yet who the devs are yet (please not EA xD) so I don't know their rep, if any. But with all the greedy, pay to win, cash sucking, MT laden, lootbox nightmares I've seen lately, I guess I'm paranoid. But I'll keep my fingers crossed.
the CEO is against shitty pay to win and predatory monetisation tactics, all will be cosmetic here
@@KenetorTV thats comforting to here. I still don't like the idea of buying a game and then having to pay for cosmetics. Sell me the game and let's be done or make it subscription or make it free to play and sell cosmetics. That would be fine but when you start mixing those things together things get muddy.
Let's take new world for instance. I made similar comments. Someone replied, not sure if it was a dev or not, that there would be no boosts only cosmetics. So I asked about the runes that boost harvesting that would be for sale. ... Silence lol. No answer and no more replies.
Do I will stay optimistic but I always judge the actions not the words.

I play Dwarf Fortress with dfhack. Cataclysm DDA. Europa Universalis. Victoria. Crusader Kings. OpenXcom. OpenTTD. From The Depths. EVE Online. All extremely UI heavy games, some that take you months to learn fully. And i've been playing early access indie games for 20 years.
This has to be by far the worst most unintuitive mess of a user interface i've ever seen. What on earth were they thinking?

I just want to know how much grind is needed for building a fully functioning ship, not a dinghy, a multideck ship
For some reason the game gave me the impression that even building the smallest would require a week of gameplay and grind
probably several weeks of mining solo for something that big,, as thats massive., but also depends on its use
@@KenetorTV they allow you to repair it as according to the blueprint right? So you don't have to rebuild it block by block
@@Dumb-Comment You can repair from blueprint using a tool, but getting damaged ship to hangar or parts to a damaged ship might be a bit task as there wont be autohaul.

Did I hear correctly that a Starbase game dev is the leader of an in-game faction? That seems a bit shady, especially in a PvP game! Reminds me of when CCP Games devs were secretly involved with player corporations in EVE and using their dev resources to "assist" their corp.
if this is true , this is really terrible, he just develops the game based in his own needs, this will happen even if not intentional

The reason i mention it is that the ship breaker part seems very much the same in the way it's done in that game.

This was great, but I also need a repair tutorial, I can't get the bolt gun working and my ship has a durability error and I've no idea what to do next
Any good tips on navigation? The only real navigation system i've been able to find is ISAN. However, there doesn't seem to be a good way for me to obtain the components to run that easily.
Asteroids seem to be about 40km out from Origin 7 now (unless I'm heading the wrong direction), the station beacon vanishes at about that distance. Lucky me, I managed to get back in range.
turn up your station transponder receive range in the settings, max is 500km

Question, is there a way for other players to tow your ship to stations? It would be pretty interesting and helpful industry to be apart of if it is possible.
yes, coming soon, they just need to fix a few things, a ship with the right equipment can lock on to it and move it around, the owner or host of that ship will need to be in a group with you if this is in the safe zone

First thing you need to know is that the game is going to crash every ten mins in the toturial till you get out of the station.
They should rename this game My Summer Star Destroyer.

an hour or 2 into the game and I'm here XD this game is kind of confusing and the tutorials leave a lot to be desired...
I'm kind of soft locked in the research tutorial I think, also messed up my starter ship by adding the crates to the side, no clue how to fix that, it's slow as fuck now....
and now I'm out of fuel and I've found a refilling platform but it's the wrong kind or something XD
All I know is I can't tinker around my ship without it going missing for the 3rd time
not sure if you know but is there plans to add enemy AI / PVE faction of any sort in the game in the future? Or is it strictly PVP
no NPC's at all, all PVE stuff will be environment based, this is a player sandbox
