Awesome!! I love how you just figured out on the fly how to make it work!! Please do a short video when you have the tent all set up! I bet it looks cool!
Thanks! Will do!!
Keep the xj vids coming they're great!
Will do buddy! Thanks!
Really cool you went deep into the woods just for the thumbnail I love the dedication
Anything for the people
One would really only want to use stock roof rack system for occasional light duty as the original well nuts are more than likely worn and if not dried out, thus not safe unless one replaced them. Replacing the well nuts are a simple process. I wish I could post up the part number for the ones I used from NAPA, but they changed the reference numbers.
Great video bud
Thank you!
Hey man, sweet video. I have been searching around trying to find a solution for mounting my RTT on a low profile roof rack and I had came to the same conclusion as you did with these adjustable ladder racks from Amazon. Which one did you go with?
I want mine to be as low profile as possible, did you make yours slightly higher just to have room for the mounting hardware on the tent?
Thanks man! I made mine as low as possible, the cross bars are only a little bit above the roof. Theres a link in the description to the exact one🤙🏼
Just bought my first rtt and got sticker shock looking for mounting options. This will be a great option to use on my XJ. Thanks for sharing! Have you used it yet, how’s it holding up?
Right on man! Used it 10+ nights and it is holding up great!
I didn’t even know RC made a tent!
I didn’t either! Not a bad option
Will the tent open without hitting the brackets?
Yeah man clears fine! Used this setup many times already
i dont trust my gutters they got holes in them
I half didnt trust mine but it seems to be the way to go for most!
