KUALA LUMPUR ZOO Tour - Zoo Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

- We are at the Zoo Negara, the Kuala Lumpur Zoo in Malaysia. In this video we take you on a Full Tour of the Zoo Negara (the National Zoo of Malaysia) where we show you some of the many animals, birds and reptiles the Zoo Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia takes care of. When visiting Kuala Lumpur, the Zoo Negara should be on the top of your list of Attractions to visit. In our opinion the Zoo Negara is one of KL´s Top Attractions. The Zoo is located outside the city centre. We took a taxi ride from Bukit Bintang (the location of our hotel) directly to the Kuala Lumpur Zoo. The ride to the zoo cost us around 50 Ringgits and had we taken a GRAB taxi it would have been much cheaper.
The Kuala Lumpur Zoo is rather big so we would recommend that you get there as early as possible so that you will have the chance to see some of the many animals. The Zoo Negara is open daily from 9.00AM - 5.00PM. People with difficulty walking can take a Tram Ride around the Zoo for an additional price. When you purchase your ticket for the Zoo you are also given a map of the Zoo Negara grounds with a route to follow so that you will see all the animals. Areas of the Zoo found on the map include: the Herbal Garden (Taman Herba), the the Tunku Abdul Rahman Lake, the Milky Stork Exhibit, the Bird Aviary, Lions & Tigers, the Mammal Kingdom, the Giant Panda Conservation Centre, the Wild Restaurant, the Ape Centre, the Savannah Walk, the Bear Complex, Reptiles, Bee Museum, the Animal Show Area, Children´s World and the Butterfly Garden. Other Zoo Negara exhibits include: Hornbill Centre, Reptile House, Malaysia Elephants, Lake Birds, Australian Plain, Humboldt Penguin, Hippopotamus, Tunku Abdul Rahman Aquarium and the Cat Walk.
One of the Highlights of the KL Zoo is the Giant Panda Conservation Centre, where you can observe the Panda Bears indoors. The Last admission time to the Giant Panda Conservation Centre is at 4.30 p.m. on Weekdays and 5.30 p.m. on Weekends.
Ticket prices for the Kuala Lumpur Zoo are as follows (at the time of upload) RM45.00 for Malaysian adults and RM88.00 for adult foreigners / tourists! Zoo Ticket prices for children ( 3 to 12 years old), Malaysian Children RM18.00 and for child foreigners / tourists RM43.00!
Although the Kuala Lumpur is not listed as one of the Top Zoos in the world, we really enjoyed our visit to the Zoo Negara (Kuala Lumpur Zoo) and have actually been there on two of our Kuala Lumpur vacations. On both occasions we were there from opening time until the zoo closed at 5.00PM. We can highly recommend a visit to this Zoo in Malaysia. All footage is filmed at the Zoo Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 4K UHD quality.

Very very enjoyable. I’m always hesitant with zoo videos as myself and mags a big funny sometimes but hey this was amazing. Those animals looked beautiful and cared for in lovely surroundings and nice staff . This is a must see now on our visit and it’s so cheap compared to London zoo i can tell you 166 ringgit is cheapest day ticket in my local zoo . If I had done the same walk through that shop mags would have done exactly the same as maro trust me 😀 . I did watch your bicycle ride in that park lol but sadly you say not many did . These videos put a smile on my face because I’m so close to going now once travel lifted 👍 have a great weekend
Goodmorning Kieron, thanks for watching and for the nice words. Like Singapore Zoo, this was definitely one of the good ones. We can also be hesitant with Zoos and have a also visited some that are not ideal for animals at all. One did get the feeling that the animals were nicely cared for and the staff around the gardens really were friendly and it seemed caring to the animals (in our opinion, you cannot work with animals, particularly at a big public zoo like this, if you do not Love animals). We never made it to the London Zoo when we were there a few years back, expensive you say and cheap compared to KL, it must be really expensive then!! HaHa, they position those gift shops so well! Kieron please be aware, most attractions are like this in Kuala Lumpur... you cannot exit without passing through a gift shop... you have now been warned HeHe! :-D We know you watched the bicycle ride and nice that a few more have since. The area where we bicycled is nothing great but it was the principal of trying those bikes, we had a wonderful few hours there! We love Kuala Lumpur and hope that the two of you will also! It's a shame you didn't feature any of the smaller species in the 'Malayan River Journey', considering the zoo exhibits many unique barbs and gouramies that are declining in numbers and genetic diversity, due to the destruction of their streams and small tributaries.

The backdrop to the savannah is the world longest quartz ridge.In the past hiking to the top of the ridge was allowed but not anymore now due to safety

Poor things!! The animals are so hot as you can see them in the shade and trying to cool off with they're mouths open. This zoo takes very good care of its occupants and is very lovely. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. Stay safe!
