Lovely to see a travel vlog pre Covid 💕 (I CANNOT wait to see your new long haul vlogs once the world opens back up again 🤩). I can see your annoyance with the bus thing at the start, not ideal. The lip balm in the amenity bag is a lovely extra, I'd be as happy as Maro was 😍. Breakfast looked ok, standard air fair, I see Maro was doing an average hand... guess the eggs or sausage wasn't as good as it could of been. Shame. Hi there all of you, we hope that you have had a good Easter and Mini Break from work! :-D Thanks for watching our video as always we are happy to hear that you enjoyed the video. We are both very much missing these Long Journeys and are also looking forward to filming them and sharing them with you all again. The bus delay was long and we did not include much of it in the video as we did not want to come across angry. We could not board the aircraft because of a lightning storm - instead of driving us back to the terminal we were locked in a bus with cold air-conditioning in front of the aircraft for oven an hour, nobody told us what was going on. The Amenity Bag is always appreciate and Qatar Airways provides a nice one - a good touch from this airline :-D The egg and sausage brekky Maro had was fine but not the best she has had, my (Maxis) meat dish was as tasty as it looked. HeHe, yes, shit does indeed happen, HaHa! We have purchased some new Wireless Mics which we will use in the future but we need some wired ones for the aircraft as we cannot use WiFi in the plane. I will get hold of one of the mic manufactures and here what they recommend (having two separate mics) on a consumer camera is not as easy to do as it would sound. When your flight went over Langkawi it reminded me of our hugely enjoyable family trip there. Now I'm going through another lockdown and reminiscing about golden days of air travel we have left behind. Will we ever be that carefree again?
We know how you feel Ziauddin! This flight took place almost exactly two years ago during Easter, so we felt sad that we were not flying this Easter holiday again (2nd Easter without travel). We were actually booked to do this same trip again last year, but then corona struck a week or two before we were to leave! Ahh lovely Penang I miss it so much. Can’t wait to return one day. I must say I really enjoyed your commentary during landing - even Maro’s singing! I agree with your comments on Qatar Airways - not the best, but definitely not the worst. I flew with them a few years ago from Australia - London on an A380 and 787. I was very impressed with how comfortable and spacious their A380’s were, but found the 787 to be pretty cramped which was a shame (and I’m not a tall person!). I would fly them again because I always find their fares to be very reasonably priced but maybe would try and avoid routes with their 787s. Hope you both had a lovely Easter. 😊

Another great trip report. We’ve never been to Penang. It’s on my wish list. My parents have been several times and stayed at the Golden Sands hotel which I believe is near the Shangri La. ❤️🇬🇧

Brilliant trip report! With 2 IFE boxes, the window seats look a bit uncomfortable. It's awful that you had to wait in a bus for an hour, they should have taken you back to the terminal. The food on this flight looked pretty nice though

Mysef definitely not impressed but it also shows it’s a personal experience regardless of how airlines are thought of in general and that’s in a polite way . Your seat looked awful for a long flight and I was shocked considering it’s a so called better airline . On the other hand I’ve flown shocking airlines before and this wasn’t as bad to be fair . A truthful report and honesty should be applauded 👍 brightened up my Sunday cheers and weekend can’t come quick enough lol
HaHa, Kieron you put a smile on my (Maxi) face - We have just had a nice long Easter Weekend and I was also just thinking to myself "The Weekend Can´t Come Quick Enough!!", HaHa, great minds think alike ;-) As we always mention, we prefer the Asian Airlines on the Long-haul routes - many of the ravings that one hears about this and that airline are not the same experiences as we have had. We like Qatar Airways, but have too often had issues with the legroom and on the flight prior to this one from CPH to Doha it took very long before a beverage let alone the meal were served. We don´t have a problem waiting for a meal, but drinks should be served quickly as one can get thirsty very quickly onboard. As mentioned the Asian Airlines are our favorite and when we fly European Airlines we both enjoy KLM and Lufthansa which also provide a good onboard service. Great video thanks guys. I worked at our international airport and they shut down if there is any lightning within 20 kilometers. Can be very dangerous, most airports take it very seriously . Upsets travelers though 😉🤷🏼♂️

As far as economy is concerned I don't think there is a lot between them the difference comes when you compare business and first class travel but I can't afford to fly those ways. I find that Qatar all around are the best deal and I'm glad to see their inflight meals seem to have improved. I always try to fly Qatar as they seem to have the aircraft and time slots that suits me best, I try to avoid B787 planes if I can, don't know why but I hate them, Not Dreamliner but Nightmare liner. It's a very difficult decision for the airline to take you back to the terminal because they need to try to keep time slots available for quick take off when they get a new slot and you don't get back on the bus quick enough, that's the bad point when you don't load via airbridge.

You should fly on Emirates from Copenhagen to Manila or Cebu via Dubai, the next time as soon as you have the opportunity to travel again! And if you are planning to fly through the Philippines by plane, you should fly on Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific. BTW, Qatar Airways's A330 looks quite old IMO!

Maro's face was a picture not long after take off and during snack. Tired, fed up and wanting sleep. I've been like that during long flights at silly O clock in the morning. Sometimes I sleep and other times I don't. I envy those you see who have dropped off not long after getting airborne and look like they have slept hours. It's a nesisary evil to get to those long haul destinations.
HeHe, indeed! We were both exhausted and had just had a huge delay at the airport. As mentioned in the video, we did not film the long delay we experienced in the bus. We stood for an hour in the bus with ice cold air conditioning and had no idea what was going on, rather frustrating! Luckily sleeping onboard is not a problem for either of us and we can both easily do 6 hours or more on a Long-haul - that said, we must just add, it is never a proper deep sleep, so we are always tired when we arrive at the destination. Not sure why you got the impression that Qatar Airways was our favorite as we don´t recall ever having said that ;-) Our preferred airlines are the Asian ones and we do mention that regularly. Qatar airport they said is best airport, no, i beg to disagree, beautiful yes, but the ground staffs are sometimes incompetent, they cannot understand english or speak to help, and if you ask help,or some inquiries, one would say a different thing from another or give wrong directions. And the announcement where your boarding gate is posted late in which it ‘s already near your boarding time and you have to walk/ ran fast to get into your boarding gate just to get ontime.🤷🏻♀️

Lovely to see a travel vlog pre Covid 💕 (I CANNOT wait to see your new long haul vlogs once the world opens back up again 🤩). I can see your annoyance with the bus thing at the start, not ideal. The lip balm in the amenity bag is a lovely extra, I'd be as happy as Maro was 😍. Breakfast looked ok, standard air fair, I see Maro was doing an average hand... guess the eggs or sausage wasn't as good as it could of been. Shame.

Hi there all of you, we hope that you have had a good Easter and Mini Break from work! :-D Thanks for watching our video as always we are happy to hear that you enjoyed the video. We are both very much missing these Long Journeys and are also looking forward to filming them and sharing them with you all again. The bus delay was long and we did not include much of it in the video as we did not want to come across angry. We could not board the aircraft because of a lightning storm - instead of driving us back to the terminal we were locked in a bus with cold air-conditioning in front of the aircraft for oven an hour, nobody told us what was going on. The Amenity Bag is always appreciate and Qatar Airways provides a nice one - a good touch from this airline :-D The egg and sausage brekky Maro had was fine but not the best she has had, my (Maxis) meat dish was as tasty as it looked. HeHe, yes, shit does indeed happen, HaHa! We have purchased some new Wireless Mics which we will use in the future but we need some wired ones for the aircraft as we cannot use WiFi in the plane. I will get hold of one of the mic manufactures and here what they recommend (having two separate mics) on a consumer camera is not as easy to do as it would sound. When your flight went over Langkawi it reminded me of our hugely enjoyable family trip there. Now I'm going through another lockdown and reminiscing about golden days of air travel we have left behind. Will we ever be that carefree again?
We know how you feel Ziauddin! This flight took place almost exactly two years ago during Easter, so we felt sad that we were not flying this Easter holiday again (2nd Easter without travel). We were actually booked to do this same trip again last year, but then corona struck a week or two before we were to leave! I agree with your comments on Qatar Airways - not the best, but definitely not the worst. I flew with them a few years ago from Australia - London on an A380 and 787. I was very impressed with how comfortable and spacious their A380’s were, but found the 787 to be pretty cramped which was a shame (and I’m not a tall person!). I would fly them again because I always find their fares to be very reasonably priced but maybe would try and avoid routes with their 787s.

Brilliant trip report! With 2 IFE boxes, the window seats look a bit uncomfortable. It's awful that you had to wait in a bus for an hour, they should have taken you back to the terminal. The food on this flight looked pretty nice though

Hi Maxi and Maro. I love you guys. You make your reviews so entertaining. Maro , I'm tiny so like you I always have good leg room however I still find myself feeling cramped in economy. Is there anything you guys can suggest to avoid leg cramps in the air. ? Maybe uts the air pressure in the plane or sitting too long with no exercise 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mysef definitely not impressed but it also shows it’s a personal experience regardless of how airlines are thought of in general and that’s in a polite way . Your seat looked awful for a long flight and I was shocked considering it’s a so called better airline . On the other hand I’ve flown shocking airlines before and this wasn’t as bad to be fair . A truthful report and honesty should be applauded 👍 brightened up my Sunday cheers and weekend can’t come quick enough lol
HaHa, Kieron you put a smile on my (Maxi) face - We have just had a nice long Easter Weekend and I was also just thinking to myself "The Weekend Can´t Come Quick Enough!!", HaHa, great minds think alike ;-) As we always mention, we prefer the Asian Airlines on the Long-haul routes - many of the ravings that one hears about this and that airline are not the same experiences as we have had. We like Qatar Airways, but have too often had issues with the legroom and on the flight prior to this one from CPH to Doha it took very long before a beverage let alone the meal were served. We don´t have a problem waiting for a meal, but drinks should be served quickly as one can get thirsty very quickly onboard. As mentioned the Asian Airlines are our favorite and when we fly European Airlines we both enjoy KLM and Lufthansa which also provide a good onboard service. Great video thanks guys. I worked at our international airport and they shut down if there is any lightning within 20 kilometers. Can be very dangerous, most airports take it very seriously . Upsets travelers though 😉🤷🏼♂️

As far as economy is concerned I don't think there is a lot between them the difference comes when you compare business and first class travel but I can't afford to fly those ways. I find that Qatar all around are the best deal and I'm glad to see their inflight meals seem to have improved. I always try to fly Qatar as they seem to have the aircraft and time slots that suits me best, I try to avoid B787 planes if I can, don't know why but I hate them, Not Dreamliner but Nightmare liner. It's a very difficult decision for the airline to take you back to the terminal because they need to try to keep time slots available for quick take off when they get a new slot and you don't get back on the bus quick enough, that's the bad point when you don't load via airbridge.

You should fly on Emirates from Copenhagen to Manila or Cebu via Dubai, the next time as soon as you have the opportunity to travel again! And if you are planning to fly through the Philippines by plane, you should fly on Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific. BTW, Qatar Airways's A330 looks quite old IMO!

Maro's face was a picture not long after take off and during snack. Tired, fed up and wanting sleep. I've been like that during long flights at silly O clock in the morning. Sometimes I sleep and other times I don't. I envy those you see who have dropped off not long after getting airborne and look like they have slept hours. It's a nesisary evil to get to those long haul destinations.
HeHe, indeed! We were both exhausted and had just had a huge delay at the airport. As mentioned in the video, we did not film the long delay we experienced in the bus. We stood for an hour in the bus with ice cold air conditioning and had no idea what was going on, rather frustrating! Luckily sleeping onboard is not a problem for either of us and we can both easily do 6 hours or more on a Long-haul - that said, we must just add, it is never a proper deep sleep, so we are always tired when we arrive at the destination. Qatar airport they said is best airport, no, i beg to disagree, beautiful yes, but the ground staffs are sometimes incompetent, they cannot understand english or speak to help, and if you ask help,or some inquiries, one would say a different thing from another or give wrong directions. And the announcement where your boarding gate is posted late in which it ‘s already near your boarding time and you have to walk/ ran fast to get into your boarding gate just to get ontime.🤷🏻♀️
