Sweet kit. No question 3 blade prop!! Nice look for pics with drop tanks etc. But not for everyday flying. Looks like a well built kit but needs scale details like panel lines rivets and oil spray etc. Cheers thanks for posting this!
Really nice unboxing and amazing plane. Seagull and legend have a real winner with this one. Good luck with the build! Im looking forward to seeing it come together!
I just finished _the exact opposite_ sized FPV Corsair build on my channel, almost palm sized and fully featured. While I've been looking to get a "Big Brother" for it, this thing is so big mine could fit in the cockpit, lol. Lovely plane, (that gear!) and great unboxing coverage, JPC!
Awesome mate, would be great to show us your building process day by day to see how you bring her togather, set it up with the saito , lights, and servos etc.
I would do the drop tanks, and on my slow fly by around 6" ft. off the ground drop my tanks right in front of me and just keep on flying.. Just wing it, no big deal they are supposed to look like hell beatten out of them anyway...! Hayman great unboxing and keep flying....
Brandon, I like the way you reviewed the Corsair. Can't really imagine the size holding it up to your Zero though! My old Topflight G S Bayou Baby was built from a kit. It took me almost a year and a half to finish. I made the Great Corsair Bet with Lomshivok1 and he is now flying it in formation with your Zero. I hope to see you and your wife at PGRC, MY home field the weekend of 23/24th this month. A few of us arrive early ( Wednesday) Before. PS we have a Hard Paved Runway 300' long! Krafty Neal Rehm.
Well, I just won one of these at the Southeast Texas Warbird Rally raffle Oct 25, 2024. Will use GP 76 twin. Two blade prop. Callie graphics. All hinges installed. Really nice. Wish I could get this guy to weather it! There is suppossed to be a larger cowl avail to fit the Saito 3 cyl or any twin without cutting holes to clear the plug leads. Mine has no gear and was priced $1295. Came from Legend Hobby. How much was the one with the gear? Where did you get it?
Hi there is this worth getting? I have the smaller 1800 phoenix model one and it flys awesome but would like a big one so thinking about this what are your thoughts? Thanks
I love to see your amazing work and I hope to see a complete building of this. With painting and electronics and your amazing attention for scale details. I’m always impressed by your work and your video quality. Thanks for sharing your talent with us and for your hard work. I have one question ? I want to build a trainer model from a balsa kit . So I can do everything from covering to gas engine. I have built balsa boats and ships. I fly foam trainers electric ones. But I’m not a expert but I’m learning. What model is a great build and flaying experience. Thank you so much. Martin from Norway
Hey man, what is the system you use to hang those your planes? I now have to move my hanger to a MUCH smaller room (mother in law moving in😢). I have to hang them like yours to fit them all.
It’s shelf racking from Lowe’s. I get the top that hangs from a top cross bar then screw the cross bar and all the verticals to the wall. Use the longest shelf brackets they have and pound large diameter pvc over them
Im currently building a Nexa f6f hellcat 60.5" once I'm done cutting my teeth with this build. My dream build is a giant f4u. I just found out about seagull planes, just today they have a beautiful cub model. This corsair is looking excellent! I personally want to go with a moki or ums 5 or 7 cyl. With a triple or quad prop. The saitos are awesome also but the moki is top of my list. Please let me know if this model can be outfitted with a moki. Id appreciate knowing if it will. I've been researching to the best of my beginner abilities, CARF is the only one i know thats large enough to run a moki or ums 250cc on. Any input would be very much appreciated. This is a sweet model and i would be a proud owner!
Did you end up building or selling this? I've had my eye on it but it has some serious scale flaws that are bugging me. Interested to see how yours came out.
So I am still building mine. Getting closer. Build is on my fb page until I get vids done. Curious about major flaws and issues? Fill me in and ask away the questions
@JustPlaneCrazy Ah, I don't have a FB account. The two major issues for me is the fuselage is too short and the oversized cowl. I was going to pick one up from Mike this weekend but last minute changed my mind and went with a giant scale FW190. Good luck on your build!
@ honestly the fw190 is a great choice. I really am not a fan of the oversized cowl at all. I wish they would have included both. The plane it self is massive and I hope it fits well because it still looks good.
@@JustPlaneCrazy I discussed with Mike, there are two cowls available, scale and oversized. I'd call him and do an exchange. Honestly, small cut outs for R90 rockers is still better than that over sized cowl. Friend did it in a TopRC F4 and you barely notice. Something to think about.
That great thank you. I think I am going to install it as is and fly it. If it lives through the maiden I will order the small cowl and go with it. It looks dumb. I also dislike all the glue on plastic stuff. Makes it look cheap. I will leave it off. No one will say anything because it looks fine without it
About to start mine. Gonna need to fix the cowl. It looks so goofy oversized. I’d rather the saito 90 rockers stick out then have the crazy big cowl profile
@@JustPlaneCrazy it’s so off it hurts my brain. Almost bought the Top RC zero for the 90 and then just stick a eme 60 in the Corsair and clip the cowl. But I don’t need another plane. So I’m going to see if the 90 fits with a clipped cowl with the rocker covers off. Then I’ll just holes for the cylinder heads and paint them to match the cowl.
Honest question. All of them fly. I travel to many flying events. This year I have run 2 gallons through my decathlon, 2 through the AN2 and 3 through the zero. The yellow extra 300 has flown once this year. The turbine A anti now has 6 gallons through it
Welp, don't mean to be too snobby but an ARF is... well an ARF! Maybe I might consider one if they made it available without the fake-looking covering... For now I'll just fly my beat up old Ziroli Corsair, lol...
Slowly working on the finishing the wings, gear and doors. Should have that wrapped up this weekend then I will release that video. My FB page has some current assy pics and descriptions
@@JustPlaneCrazy gonna be awesome. I had it already for my Top Flite Giant Corsair kit. I just don't have the time to build that kit yet and give it the attention it deserves.
The video shows that the re-tracts are in the box...I contacted them and they said the re-tracts had to be purchased seperate, another $600.00.....Says functioning retracts in the summary....very mis- leading....just saying....BEWARE....
@JustPlaneCrazy probably, I would love to see it all decked out. But if it really affects the flight characteristics I would not fly with them, at least the drop tanks
Wrong, look it up, aluminum is spelt aluminum AND aluminium is spelt aluminium. And the reason we spell and pronounce it aluminum here in the US is because British chemist Humphry Davy was the first to identify the existence of aluminum suggested the metal be named alumium in 1808 and aluminum (notice no second i) in 1812 because of its similarity to potash alum. The only reason you Brits say aluminium is because of it sounding like the other elements on the periodic table, the majority of which end with “ium”. We say aluminum because its discoverer did in keeping with such metals as platinum, stannum, molybdenum and, later, lanthanum
I'd completely strip it and re-paint. I don't care for the hard lines on the camouflaged scheme. They should be soft feathered edges. That inaccuracy in the paint scheme sticks out straight away with me. It was the first thing I noticed as you were pulling the fuselage out of the box. Past that, considering its an ARF, it looks to be a great rendition of the Corsair.

Did this beautiful plane ever have a build video?
Hate to say it but slowly still working on it
@@JustPlaneCrazy Well I'll be watching when you decide to start that project! Keep up the great videos!!
Will do and thanks for watching
I almost pulled the trigger on this plane. Looks pretty nice quality. A lot nice than the Hangar 9 version.
Can’t wait to see how it flys
Yup I might have to get 1 of them I'd rather it be the all navy blue color but scheme probably easier to see flying
Probably right my man. This model looks nice
Did the landing gear set come with the kit?? Thanks!
They are seperate. You can use JP rom Gator for Robarts. Mounting brackets included
@JustPlaneCrazy thanks
Nice Corsair... im getting one completed and custom airbrushed...96" Ws, Moki 180s 5 cyl radial
That sounds awesome
3 bladed prop, 3 cyl Satio radial 90, no drop tanks or misses.
Bombs and tanks are cool looking on a plane , they do drag your plane down and sometimes make your plane fly weird
Yeah. Agreed. Thanks for watching

A 250 in this model would def be way too big. UMS actually has a nice multi cylinder radial that a 90 which is nicer than the saito
Are the landing gear included or are they an additional cost?
The landing gear are not included in the kit but available
I use the missles on my
hk-F4U corsair but leave the drop tanks off less drag
I would look at a GP76 on video it looks like a foam airplane guess it’s the high resolution camera shows a lot of surface texture
