Very impressive organization and it appears to be a chill place to work. Thanks for sharing and congrats towards making the cover of Model Aviation Magazine!
Nice to see how much care is taken with their models, and of the facilities, along with good working conditions for employees. they have some very nice scale models! I want my house to look like their factory!
My 4br house has every room filled with airplanes, parts, a work shop and a museum where I keep my RC stuff from the 1980's. (My poor future husband 🤣🤣🤣)
Wow! Seeing behind the scenes was amazing and I was super impressed with how much stuff was actually done on-site. It probably should have gone without saying, but I didn't realize how complex an operation it was to manufacture RC planes. Great work!
Stellar video Fitz! Awesome showing us where are flying models come from. Makes me appreciate and grateful all the hard work that goes into having a plane land at my front door! Very impressed with Seagull’s factory operation!
Congrats! That’s awesome to have such an amazing opportunity to visit and fly with a company that’s producing such good models and to be able to offer feedback and suggestions from a modeler that sees what we do on the end user/buyer/flyer is even better!!!
Excellent upload! Total respect to these artisans. My Singaporean father in law gave me a Seagull F4U as a present while we were visiting, it was super as was the Skywalker I purchased a year before. So glad that these beautifully built models are still made in Vietnam, more reason to buy another one!! And what a lovely end to the tour, going to a club for some flying, eating lunch together and then some more flying! Perfect 🇻🇳
Having just returned home after another day at our model club it is great to see your videos and especially how other countries enjoy our wonderful sport.
WOW Fitz!!! So cool man, Thanks for the awesome vid!! Compaired to some of Seagulls models, that new Giant Corsairs lines looked really good. Looks to be getting better and better!!
Hey man that was awesome! Hats off to you for going deep into the local scene and no better way than at a flying club. I am sure they really enjoyed having you there and showing off their stuff proudly. I have been traveling the world professionally for a while and tapping into the rc flying scene as well. By the way you flew great! I would have been way too nervous to put my hands on the sticks of those RC gassers. Well done!
How cool is that! It’s like a how it’s made video but for our hobby, thanks Fitz! And even in another country, people still want you to fly their planes! Thanks for the video!
Very nice and very cool you got to fly the prototype Corsair, wow that factory was amazing don’t see how they kept everything so organized when I do a build I get pretty crazy in my shop lol we’ll keep the videos coming enjoy them very much happy landings 👍
I really like Seagull Models. They have unique scale subjects and still use good quality covering instead of that awful vinyl that many others are using.
I’ve been a long time fan of this channel and this is some of the best content ever. It would be so cool to start a model plane business build planes all day
You can get anything made in Saigon! I loved the super entrepreneurial spirit there. I miss living there and constantly am thinking about what business I can do to get me back there.
Brilliant video and really well made and well presented. You flew the planes really well too. I have a few Seagull models in my Hangar and they are all good flying planes that I enjoy taking to the club field. Thanks for sharing this, it was very enjoyable to watch.
That ugly stick is called an ugly stick for a reason 😅 Thanks for the upload. They have some fantastic planes and very professional staff. Wish them all well 🙂
I sure do enjoy your videos, Fitz. This one was extra special & brought back some memories. I was stationed in Long Binh, HQ, USARV (U.S. Army Vietnam), in '70, not too far from Saigon, and those street scenes looked quite familiar. The cultural differences between then and now are both dramatic and refreshingly welcome. Glad you got to do the tour, with the added bonus of a little stick time. (BTW, my very first RC plane was a 60" ws Das Ugly Stik with a Fox Hawk .60 & EK Logictrol radio, purchased in Ft. Worth, built & flown soon after my return home. The engine-out on takeoff was also quite familiar. LOL!)
Very awesome video seeing this. I own several Hangar 9 airplanes, so it's nice to see where the planes are built. Seagull has always done excellent work and wish Horizon would carry more of their products.
As a veteran of that war, I've had friends and family that died over there during the war, so to see them prospering on the dead bodies of my friends. I have no comment about your visit!!!!!
I really enjoyed that. Some of my first ARF’s were Seagulls and they always seemed like good value. Unfortunately in Canada we do not have very good access to Seagull or Phoenix models these days.
Great Video! Ordered the Corsair in the video. Do you know what engine and prop(3 blade) combo they were using on the Corsair? Would love to do the same with mine. Thanks.

Thank you seagull, the club members and big thank you to the workers.
I always suspected that Seagull was an OEM for Hangar 9...now I know. Great tour BTW! They are very cool to have let you fly their planes.
Yes, they have been for years.
I noticed that too, I always wondered about Hangar 9.
Usa free market.
Cool vidieo

Wow! Amazing! I'll bet that you had felt very privileged and honored to have been able to fly their aircraft, especially the Corsair. Congrats!

What a fantastic video!! Thank you for posting this. Really helps me understand how much effort goes into a RC plane.
Thank u for the tour. I love the puzzled look on fellow pilots face when someone shows up with a scratch built scale model.
Really enjoyed the video Fitz.. Very impressed with their manufacturing facilities.. Not what I expected. Thanks for sharing - Will
Excellent behind the scenes view, and well produced video too.
Fantastic video. Awesome tour of Seagull's factory. Was interesting to see Hangar9 comes out of that factory too.

I knew you could do it, that was really fun.😊
Your best video ever, and others are great, so that speaks a lot man! Respect from a country somewhere right in between Kansas and Taiwan 😀

Top notch reporting and flying.
Great video, I really enjoyed watching that! Very informative, yeah, I was surprised by Hangar 9 as well!
That was a real treat for you I'm certain.
I've had a few Seagull models over the years. I'm assembling a Pietenpol and Ugly Stick now, both electric. Their planes are always good quality.
Great video nice seeing how other countries are behind the scenes.

That's pretty impressive. I didn't know that they were in Vietnam.
That Corsair is sweet.

Great video but I must say the thing that jumped at me were the Hangar 9 boxes. Are H9 planes built in the Seagull factory?

Pretty cool man! Awesome they let you fly!
That Corsair looks awesome... Keep us up to date on that...
Good to see the staff using their safety squints while running the laser cutters 😂
OSHA would have a heart attack if they went to Vietnam. However, the factory was somewhat safer than many other places I had seen over there.
Ok AvE
Yeah, that made me cringe. A blink of an eye from blindness. 😢
Awesome, thank you!
thank you very much for sharing your trip. do the employees get a good discount?
