@Sean Bunting As of right now, he's inconsistent and throws a few really bad balls a game, but if he can tighten up his throwing mechanics I think he could develop into a top 10 QB with experience (hopefully lol)
@Sean Bunting Nagy should scheme to his strength instead of trying to rush him into becoming this cerebral pocket QB. He's young and got wheels, use that to throw off defense and make him productive. His legs should buy him time to develop his arms and reads. In short, it's frustrating as hell. lol
Granted a Hawks fan...but I've been saying this for years....he's not the VERY best of anything (perhaps deep ball accuracy)..but he is the 1 QB who does EVERYTHING very well...but MOST of all plays EVERY down, despite behind a historically BAD O-line.
I feel like I've waited my whole life for Wilson to throw to Greg Olsen. The breakdown was amazing. I have no idea how players can react and catch a bullet like that.
@@TheQBSchool Oh I meant that as a general statement rather than a critique on you. Sorry I didnt phrase it right. I think Schotty sometimes gets overshadowed by Russell's general greatness, and was a breath fresh air after Bevell kept forgetting he had an elite QB that could handle complex stuff.
That’s a new one! I like it! Russell Sprouts! Actually, that’s a better name for his receivers, because Russ makes them grow. That’s a good nickname for the Seattle receivers.
Best part about russ to greg olsen was if olsen didnt catch it, russ would have taken all the blame for throwing too early. Thats how classy that man is. Thankfully greg is no rookie.
The first play against the falcons was 100% PERFECT Play design love everything about that play bcuz there is simply no way if the counter-blocking does its job that there isn't at least 1 or 2 situs where even a great DEF must pick his poison... THAT IS one of the BEST Play Designs ever & I for one am looking forward to Sean Payton setting Wilson up to succeed again this season in Denver- thanks for this content- awesome QB "Coach"... if Lombardi leaves Denver I hope you have the number at Dove Valley bcuz it would be great if you got an NFL Job as our QB Coach or OCoord... we'll see how the present crew does this season bcuz in the not for long league there is always staff & player turnover, if you sux bcuz you sux, if you succeed bcuz you succeed & if you are mediocre bcuz you are mediocre! Really happy having a seat in the QB School FILM ROOM! Keep them coming!
The battle for MVP this year between Lamar, Mahomes, and Wilson is going to be epic. Love the expression on Greg Olsen's face in the end zone. And he played with Cam so it's not like he hasn't caught balls from a QB with a hose. Wilson's arm talent has always been underrated. (Edit: Maybe A-rod gets into the MVP race too.)
My favorite throw of this game was the play that Lockett due the PI on. My goodness Russ was locked and loaded. Great base and he threw an absolute strike I wish there wasn’t a PI on that play that was have been a crazy connection
Thanks 4 responding so quickly with this vid JT! I've been watchin this kid since 2008 at NC St I knew he had a shot back then if he were to get drafted. I was so happy when we got him and I knew he was better than Matt Flynn(no disrespect).Keep up tha good work👍
I check my notifications daily to watch new content that you put up. Love your breakdowns JT! Keep it coming. There's a kid @ Georgia Tech at QB, Jeff Simms (FR). I believe he's worth following. He has great mechanics and a quick release. He didnt have the best 1st game with decision making, but I think he'd be worth the breakdown.
I remember after he won the super bowl the haters all said he could only run n not throw then became better throwing in the pocket now he’s easily the best deep ball QB in the NFL he can do it all when they all hated on him after his super bowl win he couldn’t win without the best defense he’s still doing it all till this day
Belichick: 'I don't see anybody better than' Russell Wilson. Week 1 - 143 qb rating 31 of 35 (.886)!! I saw Russ as the best in his senior year vs Luck and RG3.
As a WR that 9:50 catch is the easiest catch to make cause the ball come in your hands so fast it rip your skin off. Wilson put all of his power clean muscle in to that. My hand wouldve broke.
Fellow players in the NFL top 100 (2020) said RW plays like he has 👀 in the back of his head. That pocket presence is a result of literally trying to survive behind a sh!t O-line for 7 years. Wilson's sharpness is forged through fire. That's what makes him so flippin dangerous. We're finally seeing his final form.
Love these videos. Though they are a bit frustrating as a Dolphins fan. These players and teams make stuff look easy sometimes. Everything the Dolphins do is difficult.
You should make a “Baker Mayfield Being Baker Mayfield”. Just kidding I really do like Baker and tend to think what’s happening is a result of the situation he is being put in. Just keep praying GamePass releases the film🙏🏻
Great video! Unrelated Q. I'm going through one of Jason Garrett's pass installs and I'm wondering what 'Java' refers to, as in G-Train Rt Java Rt 539 F-Flat Choice. I have a feeling it's going to be so simple that I feel very dumb when you answer. haha
I don't know. But the placement in that play makes me think it's the pass pro. Train is usually a trips ish formation. #s are the routes in digit Os. Tags at the end are for the 3rd WR and Back.
Interested in Burrow analysis. if there's anything to actual analyze with defenders being in the backfield in .5 seconds every snap :-D. i have to watch it again myself, but was curious if you gave that game a second look.
That ball at 10:00 is 80% on the quarterback. It's such a fast ball to react to as a wide receiver that if it is not directly at your chest area it will probably be a drop/tip. We all know how tip balls end up. Had that ball been even 2 inches higher it's probably a drop
I am a Packer fan and a Badger Fan. R.W. put together the top performance in NCAA history in a season as a QB at Wisconsin. The dude is a class act. It is a crime he went third round. Which is why I have no sympathy for any NFL team that struggles to maintain a franchise QB. Dude is hall of fame material, no doubt. Even when R.W. beats the Packers, I don't feel bad about it. Although the Fail Mary was complete hogwash.
It looks to me like he barely even touched him, let alone give him real a push. Olson wasn't #22's assignment. He was moving full-tilt to the left to cover Carson coming out of the backfield, in the flat. He kept on trucking in that direction after the contact, till he sees the ball in the air.
I dont really udnerstand the Playcall fr the defense on the Greg Olson TD. Why is there a Middle field Safety in a spot where he will never be in time to disrupt anyone running in the endzone anyway? I would understand if he sits over the 3 Reciever side to take anyone that gets open there but fomr his spot in the middle he aint coverying anyone.
Well, his very first move after the snap was following Chris Carson, so that was his assignment. Theoretically Carson could have taken a hand-off and run to the left or even run a pass route to the left. That's the limit of my "expertise" such as it is, so I don't know how else they might have played it, without leaving a different opening.
200 of the falcons yards came in the 4th quarter when the defense was playing prevent to not get beat deep. The defense really tightened up for that 3rd q and let the hawks pull away
Learn something recently, Russ has never received 1 MVP vote, not 1😒 This is the year not only will he get 1 vote but, will win MVP award while leading the Seahawks back to the Super Bowl!!!! GO HAWKS!!!!
The most complete and consistent football player; perhaps, ever!? Coming from a Bears fan.
@Sean Bunting As of right now, he's inconsistent and throws a few really bad balls a game, but if he can tighten up his throwing mechanics I think he could develop into a top 10 QB with experience (hopefully lol)

He’s truly a special player
I think he’s the most complete QB in the game, and I’m a Bills fan. He can throw accurately, run, and can BLOCK!
I feel like I've waited my whole life for Wilson to throw to Greg Olsen. The breakdown was amazing. I have no idea how players can react and catch a bullet like that.
There are certain drills that work on reaction time. Literally turn 180 and catch a ball flying at you
@LTrain 45 hell yeeaa gives u longer to think. The more u thinkin the more likely u Gon fuck up, jus gotta go off instinct
Olson was a great blocker & all round football player as well- a very unselfish player
GOAT... Glad I've been seeing this for 9 years in Seattle....
Russell Wilson put on a Russell Wilson type performance on Sunday.
Give Schottenheimer some credit for designing those plays that really utilize Russell's intelligence and talent.
I didn’t.
?

5'10" 215lbs...thats a scat back with good hands and wheels....oh and can throw dimes. ropes. shovel. and wtf .

I'm so happy to have him on my Fantasy team.
Go Russell Sprouts!!!
That’s a new one! I like it! Russell Sprouts! Actually, that’s a better name for his receivers, because Russ makes them grow.
That’s a good nickname for the Seattle receivers.
Ramone DeCurta thank you 🙏🏽 I’m quite proud of it
Yessssirrrrr that man is DangeRuss
the Greg Olsen eyes and da "woah" expression ahahah
That was a great reflex reaction from Olsen, no wonder he looked shocked to catch it lol
I've been looking for a clip of Greg Olsen's reaction after his TD. Thanks for that, I laughed out loud when it was broadcast.
Greg is definitely using his JUGS MACHINE
Russ a legend 🏃🏾
Best part about russ to greg olsen was if olsen didnt catch it, russ would have taken all the blame for throwing too early. Thats how classy that man is. Thankfully greg is no rookie.
LTrain 45 The good thing about it being early is that the receiver doesn’t get hit. Receivers love it when they don’t have to take unnecessary hits
9:53-10:35 😂
Hands down why your content is a level above the rest. Classic stuff here lmao
Russ looks like an infielder, point guard, and QB at THE SAME TIME
The real deal
And running back
Well he does play 2nd base in Baseball
Kind of what Magic Johnson seems to think.
When a veteran TE like Olsen is THAT impressed by his new QB, you know you've got something truly special going on.

DangeRuss is cooking, he will cook some Cam Noodle this coming sunday. Go Hawks 💪

Wilson makes Quarterbacking look easy. He looks great back there dealing! GO HAWKS!!!!!!
Russell Wilson a.k.a. Wonderful Wilson.

Sizzling spicy dubs

31 for 35 300+ yards = Doing work!
Those falcon jerseys are LIT.

On that first touchdown he had at least three options that would have all been touchdowns great breakdown of a nice play call

Well Olsen thats how it feels like to play with a HOF in Russ

First ballot hall of famer
What do you think the ball speed on that slant in the red zone was? Friggin dart. 55mph?
4th downs are for touchdowns
I hope he plays like this against the patriots
