Its certainly possible but just 1 or 2 games with only 2 TDs and it will make getting to 60 very unlikely. 50 would still be an unbelievable year...only 3 players have ever done it. He WAS for like 7 years. The past few years he has been like top 5 in MVP voting
He’s never received a single MVP vote. He’s had the “misfortune” of having other players have better years. Newton, Lamar, and Mahomes (who deservedly earned it their years) eclipsed what Wilson was doing.

Exactly. They say Mahomes has revolutionized the position, and I ask, “How?”
He hasn’t changed the way teams draft. Russ did that.
He hasn’t changed offensive schemes as much as Vick did.
He hasn’t moved GMs and coaches away from the notion that QB’s are most effective in the pocket. Russ did that. Vick could have, but he never became the passer Russ is, and his conviction stunted his development.
Mahomes hasn’t done anything on the field that Russ hasn’t already done a hundred times - not even that flick pass to Beast Mode.
Mahomes hasn’t changed expectations. Russ did that by starting as a true rookie and nearly leading his team to the Super Bowl that year, winning the Super Bowl in his second year, and making a return trip to the Super Bowl in his third.
Now every team that drafts a stud gets a 3-4 year clock to show that they are the long-term answer, or teams start looking at other QB’s *(see Goff, Winston, Mariota, RG3, and Wentz).*
*Murray* is on the clock in Arizona. *Mayfield* had better be even better this year and not regress. *Burrow* had better stay healthy, or he will get “Goffed” and *”Wentzed”*
Russ did that. Mahomes pushed that further, but it was Russ that created that expectation.
I kept telling KC trolls that Russ had executed a pass like that, after they were saying that no QB besides Mahomes could ever do it.
Now everybody sees that Russ does incredible stuff. They left out that pass to Lockett vs. the Rams, which had about a 0.03 completion probability. Mahomes doesn’t make that pass.

He’s already the best QB I have ever seen. Brady and Montana are the greatest, but Russ is the all-around best that I have ever seen, and I saw Unitas play as a child.

I named those guys off the top of my head. Those were your starting QB’s in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. I remember them all. I certainly remember every QB from every decade since.

He would always say how Russel was built like a fire-plug. Winning the Super Bowl finally was the best thing ever. My dad passed away in 2015. I am so thankful to have been able to finally see a championship for the Seahawks. I was born in 78 and started really paying attention and catching games with my dad close to my 30s. We had a good 10 year stretch of watching the games together unless work or something got in the way. Now I keep the tradition going with my daughter.

Russel is the mythical god and Metcalf is his mythical beast.
I’ve watched him twice live. Him and Brett Favre were the most exciting Quarterbacks I’ve ever watched.
Its been a joy to watch Russ play all these years. Just like Tom Brady, Payton Manning, and all the other great HoF QB's of the past. Seeing Russ do all the incredible things with his teammates is inspiring. Its been such a priveledge to watch Patrick Mahomes every week for four years follow in Russ' footsteps. Now I get to watch Russ and Patrick battle twice a year for the next 10 years. It will be like Brady vs Manning all over again.

One of the things that makes Wilson great is he has experienced the greatest heights of the sport and the most crushing lows. And all he does is get better

On one hand, landing in Seattle with Wilson as your quarterback is a huge plus to the development of DK. On the other, how in the world did DK fall that low. What a scary duo for Seattle in the years to come.

Brady got lucky like he always does. Needed Seattle’s opposite corner to be injured and he tore up Tharold Simon the 5th stringer who took his first snap that season in the SB. He also got lucky cause the Hawks had the game. He made the comeback but Seattle gave the game away. This is just one of many instances where Brady got bailed out.
@@UndeadItachi2 It was a very unlikely outcome...everyone knew the odds of the Hawks scoring in that position was VERY likely. The play they ran also has a high percentage of success, however Butler not only recognized the exact play, but there is footage of the patriots with Butler practicing to defend that EXACT play. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Brady was saved by the amazing play of his defense.
