You could never be boring Ivan, you are so very interesting to listen to. Thank you Natalia for doing such a wonderful job of filming and editing. Please don't leave it too long before thar trip down South. Shed Racing for ever
thank you so much for sharing Ivan , dont stop and dont change the format it works and the information is such a bonus , i hope your able to get your trip to the south of France and hope we are all invited for a ride along video , take care and thanks again to Natalia for her hard work filming
Just a post script to my previous comment : I would like to add my admiration for the superb camera work, editing and post production that Tania has brought to Ivan's TH-cam videos - fantastic.
What a great trip. I have travelled a lot in France and always preferred the Routes National and the endless string of small towns and local hotels and the ubiquitous "Cafe de La Paix". My last trip was in a 72 Maserati Ghibli- flashier than your car, but probably less reliable.
Watching this video and listening to Ivan is my feel-good experience for the day. Thanks Ivan, please keep these video's coming, your stories/commentaries are fascinating.
A great old car Ivan, so advanced for it's time. I just love the way the rear seat passengers would "enter" through the rear door and "walk" to their seats, bit like being seated in your lounge room. Love to listen to your commentry on your vehicles, you're a proverbial "fountain of interesting automotive history".
I spent my teenage holidays on a ring net fishing boat and the wheelhouse windows had leather straps with holes in them so you could raise and lower the windows to different heights as per your car.
Another fascinating episode Ivan. Wonderful car, look forward to seeing you doing the trip to the South of France. Only you could be swinging old car seats around right next to a stunning example of a classic Ferrari without a care in the world.
The one thing you are not is boring. I had never heard of that car and it is lovely. Much better than a Model A Ford. Thanks for showing it to us. Tanya is doing a wonderful job with the videos and John is a wizard with everything.
So glad you are keeping it original. As car collectors in the States or fond of saying, "you can restore a car numerous times, but they are only original once".
Another brilliant video from Ivan and Tanya. This would have to be the only or one of the few videos on this almost 100 years old piece of automotive art. Superb condition and you are keeping it functional and maintaining the history captured jn its patina. Made my day.
Cant get my head round the fact that it’s RHD? French car, sold in France to a French owner,so why is it RHD? Did France drive on the left back then,or was it originally built for export? Other than that,an absolutely lovely original car.A tribute to Ivan and his team!🤓
Superb example! Curious if you have pics of the clutch material, that would be neat. Not as neat as a roadtrip of that caliber however! Love how original you keep it. Thank you.
An amazing 98 yo car and wonderful video. I really do appreciate this being half French myself. The French always engineer things in their own way, which is how they are. That car has found a great home, it's a museum piece really. I hope you take that trip to the south of France and have a great time. I have never been there myself and would love to go there, thanks Ivan.
I love the originality, I have rebuilt a few 20s french cars and love the detail in them especially delarge co which drove so well around the lake district, keep up the good work
I adore your channel and have never been bored. I do hope that you take Tanya to France and film the adventure it would make a fantastic series. Thank you and god bless.
Ivan I am interested to know when Europe became left hand drive. Your beautiful old girl is a classic example of right hand drive from France. I have not seen a left hand drive Bugatti Delage Hispano etc and no one seems to know when the right to left change happened! Keep up the good work, always interesting, and an inspiration as the senior years approach
They used to say that all the countries Napoleon invaded drive on the right, because his army marched on that side. The British Empire countries usually drive on the left, just to be different!
Thank you for this. I like all of your videos, but this had more new to me information. We are amazingly short of French car knowledge here in the states. A car that was treasured from new for sure.
I think regarding the address of the original dealer, it is not Strasbourg but is actually 16 Boulevard de Strasbourg. This address exists in several towns in France but as the town name is not there it might actually be Paris. In Paris 16 Bd de Strasbourg is just a few hundred metres from the amazing Museum of Arts et Metiers which I visited in 2016.
It was interesting to see that the gearbox has reverse through first. I drove an early 1920s Leyland fire engine many years ago that had that feature, very handy for manoeuvering. I wonder how many other vehicles had the same thing.
A wonderful video Ivan! Do not leave it too long before you come down here to the South of France, everyone will make you welcome, the only problem is that with your enthusiasm and personality it will take a year to filter down here! Take care , Chris B.
Just found you and loved video, right up my alley. Being in my 70s my hearing has gone so a little transmitter mic on your camera would help tremendously. I'll be back and would like to see you drive around.
Brilliant tour of the Donnet thanks Ivan, your obvious enthusiasm makes it so interesting and well worth watching. Do that south of France tour and make the film- we will be watching. We would even come with you in our 1931 Ford Model A roadster given the chance!
What an interesting car, I could listen to you talking engineering and cars all day Ivan. Great video , keep them coming. French trip with the car sounds a great idea.
Lovely to see you mate, if only briefly the other day….great to meet Tanya your lovely camera lady. Keep these great videos coming. Hope to see you again soon👍🏻
Very enjoyable explanation, and just enough humor to make me chuckle. Never heard of the make, however, even in the USA where I am between Chicago and Milwaukee the US had several hundred manufacturers since 1889 or so.
100% get you Ivor about old vehicles and I just find the channel brilliant. I think a lot of us fans would follow your trip to the south of France .may one day a trip in the UK were we could join you in our classic also.👍🇬🇧
What a lovely car and a lovely video about it! I am more grateful than I know how to say to be able to subscribe and enjoy this beautiful bit of life that you share with me! ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🏆🏆🏆
I live near Strasbourg and I don't think it came from here (the name Rességuier hints at the south of France). After doing some research, there's still in Albi (south west of France) a Gentleman named Alain Rességuier 40 Boulevard de Strasbourg. In a century, the number of the address might have changed from 16 to 40...
A wonderful survivor, I dream of finding something like that. The dealers address is not in the city of Strasbourg, but is in a street named Boulevard de Strasbourg. There are several cities in France with a street of that name, the obvious one being Paris, but the number 16 at the end of the address does not really work for Paris, as Bld de Strasbourg is in the 10th Arrondissement, not the 16th. A search of some pre-war directories should be able to pin it down, but a quick online search did not find an obvious match.
I went through the same logic as you Mike - can't find Bd de Strasbourg in 16 Charente or any evidence that the 16th arrondissment in Paris used to be the 10th. Paris seems the most likely, even in 1951 when my car was built, it came from the London dealer, so quite likely in the 20s would be from Paris.
Please do the south of France in it and make a video of the journey , keep safe young man.
You could never be boring Ivan, you are so very interesting to listen to. Thank you Natalia for doing such a wonderful job of filming and editing. Please don't leave it too long before thar trip down South. Shed Racing for ever
So true, Ivan's a marvellous story teller!
thank you so much for sharing Ivan , dont stop and dont change the format it works and the information is such a bonus , i hope your able to get your trip to the south of France and hope we are all invited for a ride along video , take care and thanks again to Natalia for her hard work filming
Hahah "I washed the rear seat covers" climbs in with filthy overalls...:)
Just a post script to my previous comment : I would like to add my admiration for the superb camera work, editing and post production that Tania has brought to Ivan's TH-cam videos - fantastic.
Great production Tanya - well done!!!
Take it to France and take us along. What time should I be ready? :D
"It hasn't got indicators".................... Who bloody uses them anyway.. !
Thank you Ivan.
I love the stories and can’t wait for the next one.
What a fascinating and knowledgable man you are, certainly not boring..... I could listen to you for hours!!
I totally get your view Ivan, restoration is about keeping history while keeping the car running and safe. The French trip sounds perfect!
'Dubonnet & Clyde' . . . Ivan in a Zoot suit & spats. . .
A brilliant insight into the engineering of the time and a fascinating video.
I'm one of those who understands what you're talking about, Love it!
Right hand drive, something of a jewel
What a marvellous find.
I spent my teenage holidays on a ring net fishing boat and the wheelhouse windows had leather straps with holes in them so you could raise and lower the windows to different heights as per your car.
Your passion for the old cars is infectious Ivan. I listen to every word.
Best wishes, Dean at Retromeccanica, Oxfordshire.
Very enjoyable and educational, you're the best. Great production, you're a good team.
What a lovely little motor and the interior spectacular
Absolutely marvellous Ivan - so interesting and amazing to see how much of the originality has survived.
Keep up your videos your enthusiasm and information knows no bounds just lovely.
Thank you to every for their effort, greatly appreciated.
Another fascinating episode Ivan. Wonderful car, look forward to seeing you doing the trip to the South of France.

Brilliant Ivan. Keep em coming, a road trip would be great.
So glad you are keeping it original. As car collectors in the States or fond of saying, "you can restore a car numerous times, but they are only original once".
Ivan dont stop making these videos amazing well done keep em coming!
The greatest show on earth, right up my alley, wonderful stuff thanks again Ivan & Tania.
🚗
Great , what a lovely car. Pleasant motoring Ivan.
There are lots of Boulevards de Strasbourg in France, but there is still a motor trader of that name in Albi
You’re a legend Ivan. What a car.
Beautiful old well made car! Ivan wireless LED indicators are available NO wiring!!
Another brilliant video from Ivan and Tanya. This would have to be the only or one of the few videos on this almost 100 years old piece of automotive art. Superb condition and you are keeping it functional and maintaining the history captured jn its patina. Made my day.

That is a beautiful original car with some excellent features for the time.. Thank you for giving us such a good tour.
Jaeger clocks! They must be worth their weight by themselves. Quality all round.
Superb example!
Curious if you have pics of the clutch material, that would be neat.
Not as neat as a roadtrip of that caliber however!
Love how original you keep it. Thank you.
The videos are improving very quickly. This was very interesting, and great camera work on the mechanical bits.
Its a miracle how it survived and how you managed to find it is an even bigger miracle you have some good contacts!
Looking forward to your road trip Ivan. Will make a great video..
What a lovely car. I had a 1928 Essex coach for many years and would have happily swapped it for this.
Yes yes yes you definitely need to do that and take us along via your TH-cam channel , the car is a time machine 👴🏻👍
An amazing 98 yo car and wonderful video. I really do appreciate this being half French myself. The French always engineer things in their own way, which is how they are. That car has found a great home, it's a museum piece really. I hope you take that trip to the south of France and have a great time. I don't think Ivan would agree with you on the museum front. He wants to drive them not put them in a glass case..........
Excellent presentation Ivan! I love original old cars. 👍🏻👍🏻
what a wonderful original car, thank you for the tour! it would be awesome to go on the trip with it
I love the originality, I have rebuilt a few 20s french cars and love the detail in them especially delarge co which drove so well around the lake district, keep up the good work
Amazing love the shed racing videos series so far
I adore your channel and have never been bored. I do hope that you take Tanya to France and film the adventure it would make a fantastic series. Thank you and god bless.

What a treasure, congratulations on this find Ivan.
That car has been loved from new. Imagine how special owning a car in the 1920's must have been. What a beautiful thing she is!
I think 99% of us that watch your videos are not bored and do get it.

You are unique Ivan..I have only just passed 70 and i hope i can fulfil my meagure ,abeite limited by finances ambitions way into your age group.
It was interesting to see that the gearbox has reverse through first. I drove an early 1920s Leyland fire engine many years ago that had that feature, very handy for manoeuvering. I wonder how many other vehicles had the same thing.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful vehicle with us. You have to do the trip, it would be great for you to video it.
What a beautiful old car, nearly 100 years old. You have done the repairs very well. I hope you get to France in it. Greetings from AUS.
A wonderful video Ivan! Do not leave it too long before you come down here to the South of France, everyone will make you welcome, the only problem is that with your enthusiasm and personality it will take a year to filter down here! Take care , Chris B.
Proper job. Thank you so much. That twenty minutes shot by.
Brilliant, yet again Ivan, hope you get to France in it.
thank you ivan and all . regards r.

Absolutely fabulous! A bloody good old car!!
Lovely to see you mate, if only briefly the other day….great to meet Tanya your lovely camera lady. Keep these great videos coming. Hope to see you again soon👍🏻

Hi Ivan
Like you I love old cars, I own 2 Morris cars, a Major 1931, & Morris 10/4 series M
Love watching videos
thank you for the guided tour of a car I had never heard about.
Would love to that trip to South of France on here Ivan.
Very much enjoyed. Learned a lot this old beast, and much appreciated Ivan and sweet professional photographer
Brilliant mate. The 34 on the original number plate puts it down in the Bezier area. Like you said, plenty of dust but not much rust 👍
Bravo to the "A" team once more; superb.
100% get you Ivor about old vehicles and I just find the channel brilliant. I think a lot of us fans would follow your trip to the south of France .may one day a trip in the UK were we could join you in our classic also.👍🇬🇧
This touched my soul. That may sound silly, but I couldn't find a better word. Good things come to those who deserve it.
That’s really pretty and nice as you say that’s the way you want them have fun on your road trip. Michael
What a nice old car . I hope you do take it to the south of France and make some videos 👍👍👍👍
Just brilliant Ivan, thank you.
Hi Ivan! Nice talking to you at Beaulieu! Love your video’s thanks!!!
Lovely car, Ivan. Lovely video.
Fascinating! Thanks for this.
wonderful car, great engineering, top video, cheers Ivan

What an amazing piece of history with a great backstory. You certainly need to make that trip and take Tanya to record the whole thing !
Absolutely brilliant Ivan

The clutch and adjustable brake seem quite Riley Nine like. Very interesting car, thank you.
10 out of 10
Definitely not boring, riveting viewing. Thanks for telling the stories and sharing the projects
Ivan said, some people will know what I'm talking about. Well I don't but, I could listen to Ivan for hours.
Lovely, particularly the end.

That Grand Lady needs a trip in the south of France😀😃😄😁😆!
That’s a real beauty.
