What a big kid he is! 84 years young! Watching these videos is so joyful. Everyone's enthusiasm is contagious! Have a great trip down under Ivan and Suzy.
'If your eyes are watering, it's too rich' 😂 I guess, if your ear drums burst, it's too loud. Love this old school 😁 and those doughnuts at the end, magic!
Lovely to see this 84 year old child having fun! Best wishes from a 87 year old living in France doing the same with a two cylinder Panhard, be it rather more slowly!!
Just Ivan & the team living their very best lives as per usual . Brilliant to see it running after all the hard work & most entertaining to see you spin those wheels like a teenager & your cap falling off 😂 I love it. Here in Ireland 🇮🇪 you’d get the highest of compliments. They’d say you’re a right fecker in that car which is not a pejorative term but rather means the coolest man in the parish Thanks Susie for all the hours spent editing & all that and making those gentle enquiries which help Ivan & John explain what’s happening All your videos are informative & great fun & very watchable. It was nice to have Tim come along to see the demo & I think looking at him you could see he’s proud of you & happy to see you being you & doing the work still.
This Shed Racing is so easy to watch. Love the content and the gang is top notch. Susie has been great for the channel and Ivan. Not forgetting about Jhon, he’s part of the magic that makes this whole thing work. Also some of Susie’s little comments are a riot. Thank you guys for the solid entertainment👏
When firing up engines for 1st time. I always use a butane torch, just turn on & don't light. Engines fire pretty quick & no chance of fouling the plugs. Great video. Looks fantastic running & driving.
Oh, brilliant! Loved it! That noise was pure four-cylinder music. I've thoroughly enjoyed this series, and to hear the midget come to life, then see it tear around the field, was just the icing on the cake. Great work, folks!
There should be a "Holy sh*t, I love this!" button. Fantastic work from all of you. Ivan commented he was never in first, many of those dirt track midgets had in/out boxes for racing since the Offy had plenty of pep after the push start . It was fun to see Ivan get his hat blown off and muddy having fun. The car sounds fearsome.
I am absolutely chuffedfor you mate . and John is a bloody champion. Not to Mention Suzie . l am from Bundaberg. Queensland Australia. l have enjoyed l think all of your videos.I am 75 and l would love to drive that off. mind you l would not fit in it. cheers enjoy your trip.
Glad you got to give her a test run before your over seas trip. She looks like a ripper. Looking forward to seeing you get it out on a track or a hill climb. Bon Voyage
Absolutely fantastic! I did not expect the engine to start up just like that. It must be pretty close to being perfectly tuned from the start! Thank you for such fun, and, at that, just watching. I cannot really imagine how pleased all the team must be ... Thanks and best wishes from George
Well that is a tribute to true engineering…your workmanship, problem solving, decades of experience and even bravery. To see you so pleased with such a good result straight out of the workshop is wonderful. You may be 84 years of age but you are still 18 at heart….never change! I hope you see you and the car at Prescott or Shelsley over the Summer.😃😃😃😃😃😃
Every minute of that was bloody brilliant Thanks so much for putting Ivan and John on the screen for us Suzy. What a great car, sounds like it’s a bit cross, just like a racing car should Hope you have a great trip down under 🙃 Love this channel, the best homegrown car stuff on TH-cam ❤
that sounds amazing and the smile on Ivan's says it all he clearly had loads of fun and the finish with donuts was the best bit , cant wait to see a few videos of the offy out on a track , and ofcourse hope we will get to see some of your adventure down under take care
You WILL fall in LOVE with it, the same way I fell in love with them in about 1959 when my daddy took me to watch the midgets at the dirt track in Haubstadt. I was only 6 years old. I remember the pungent smell of caster oil that wafted through the bleachers during all the midget heats. They also ran super modifieds but I always preferred the sound of the Offenhausers. They sounded like racing car engines in a way that the super modifieds never could. There was never a question in my mind if you would get it started --- those engines were made to ride like the wind. They were also very dangerous. Many drivers were injured or lost their lives by flipping them against the outer rails in the corners. I saw drivers bounced around but never killed. Susie, has Ivan ever heard of using caster oil in engines? It was used in motorcycles too. This was a superb video.
Fantastic to see a great result from your work. Does John get to drive at some stage? Suzie, your comments / one liners make me smile Well done everyone There will be a few things for you to see here in NZ for sure.
Wow, I was a bit worried there that it might be a couple of weeks of hospital food rather than a trip to NZ 😦 John might have had to dust off his passport and come off the subs bench.
Ah, the late, much missed Sabine Schmitz! RIP.
Donuts in the puddles, the stuff all kids love. What a joy to see the kid come alive in Ivan.
Love it, Ivan being 18 again, love it, sounds fantastic, thanks for having us there, to everybody!!!
