@mandelbrot5 I'd really recommend a Logitech G300 or G400 over MX518, mainly because the G-series use the new drivers ("Logitech Gaming Software"), as opposed to the MX-series, which only runs with the SetPoint-drivers. The newer LGS has much more options (such as advanced key-bindings, macros etc.). Hardware-wise the G300 is just a newer version of MX518, the G400 has a couple more buttons.
is the mouse your using a razor naga? cos im having the same problem with it and it seems fairly common
