2:58 I think that if more Jedi were on the grey side of things that what happened at the end of the clone wars might have never happened. You can take Ashoka for example in the fact that she is a light side force user that fights with emotion but she fights for good. She does what she believes is right and isn’t held back by all the rules of being a Jedi. If more Jedi were like that it may have helped avoid what happened. Jedi that come after Rey will probably be on the grey side of things because Rey and Luke were both like Ashoka.

In other words, if they had held *more* strictly to their doctrines by refusing teaching to a padawan that old who held fear within themself, they wouldnt have seen anakin turn.
Granted, palpatine could still win without anakin, but the point is I am agreeing with you, the jedi strictures absolutely protected them from the dark side and kept them whole for thousands of years (only to be broken by external influences)

So, I do martial arts, and the way you've explained the aspects of the Force are similar to how I teach people to think about jiujitsu (I even call it the Force, haha). I think a good way to visualize it is to picture a hill. Light side techniques are as simple as walking from the top to the bottom, with physics doing much of the work. The dark side is walking from the bottom to the top, fighting gravity. These two ways of thinking do not change the framework of the physics of the situation, they just interact with them differently.

The rule of two. As I recall. Was not invented yet. And it's not that no sith ever cooperates. It's that they are all threats to each other's power, and as a result, they are enemies largely, even if they sometimes come together to fight more immediate foes.
For instance, in the sith academy, blatantly murdering your classmates, was encouraged, and common.
You wouldn't want to heal someone, who is more beneficial to you if they're dead. And to a Sith, every other Sith, is more useful dead, with rare exceptions, though you may notice in your example. He still killed them all.

I don't think center of being could even be considered a 'force power' rather than an inherent ability which even an untrained force sensitive may have. I don't see why someone would just choose not to use it.
I don't think it's as simple as choosing to use a force power. The force is probably manifested in certain ways due to the nature of the user. Some of them can take years of training to learn, the same force power could also take to a different person naturally. In order to become the most powerful being, a sith would have to have mastery over every force power as well as probably be creating his own unique ones. The fact is, honing one's strengths while ignoring one's weaknesses will always show a more tangible result, giving a feel for the power they so desire. This also is a factor which leads to a sith's inevitable defeat.

Luke describes the effect of Corran Horn's trauma (his vision of losing Mirax) as flash burns and states that his mind has a kind of psychic swelling that is temporarily preventing him from emotionally connecting to memories of Mirax. From my reading of that area of 'I, Jedi' it seemed like an amplification of a side effect of emotional trauma rather than something anyone could learn to do at will. For that reason, I wouldn't call it a power

I view it more as preservation vs destruction, the light being preservation whilst the dark side destruction. Both have their place, for example, if you didn't destroy parts of a forest, then it would overgrow and animals could die due to an overgrowth of a certain animal/plant, and devastating forest fires could ensue. However, if you destroyed too much of the forest it would die, the light and dark side have their respective places. Destruction however, is far more powerful than preservation, that applies to the dark side as well.

Also, there really isnt any negative sides to the light side. 'more light side' never has any negative effects in any piece of star wars media that I'm aware of. I know the whole "grey" thing is popular in the fanbase but its really not accurate to how its actually portrayed.
Conversely, the dark side always causes bad things to happen. Always. Every person who thinks they can just use the dark side end up doing evil things eventually.
The dark side was always intended to be viewed as an inherently corrupting and evil force. Essentially every piece of media supports this. @joeshmoe6908 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@lenkagamine4145 On the universe as a whole?
      1. How about creating the Sith in the first place. The Jedi force their members to ignore all their emotions their whole lives, this causes significant emotional immaturity. Thus, once Jedi flocked to the dark side and later became Sith when the order was established.
      2. Essentially kidnapping children who are force sensitive, that happens throughout the Star Wars universe.
How about the Padawan Massacre after the Jedi received a force vision of one of the padawan's becoming a Sith.
      3. Grandmaster Zym, who faked a treaty with Darth Baras, Baras was who suggested it in the first place, a SITH who wanted peace, was attacked by a JEDI, a grandmaster at that.
      4. One of my earlier points was how the Jedi abduct children, they not only do that, but they brainwash them into blindly following and upholding the laws of the Republic. Jedi act above the law all the time, all they have to do is say it's "Jedi business" and no one bats an eye.
      5. The Sith Holocaust. There's 2 types of Sith in the Star Wars universe, the Sith Order and the Sith species. They decided to eradicate the Sith race simply because they held different views of the force. They nearly made the Sith race go extinct for something as trivial as that.

"Jaden, you have a right to be angry, but believe me when I say you don't want to feed that emotion."
The Jedi Order might have been more strict and did chastise emotions, though that could be because after years of serving the republic and not the force, as well as their complacency, they had strayed from their path and were too cautious in preventing another Sith emerging.

No mention of Force Immortality. Also known as becoming a Force Ghost rather than having every aspect of self being destroyed on death as one's spirit was returned to the force from which it came. Lucas made it absolutely clear that it was impossible for a Sith to gain this power as it required a perfect harmony between light and dark within an individual. They also had to be strong with the force and at peace at the moment of death.

Would Force Light or Wall of Light work against The SON from Mortis?
