I remember when WLtoys was THE name in budget rc and the MOST MPH PER DOLLAR you could buy. I really would love to see them get back to form and just update like MJX, Rlarrlo, HBX and so on have.
@@Rek_Rc yep a couple years ago they were doing great as the best budget rc car brand you could buy, but in the past year or so instead of improving their models to compete with the competitors like MJX , Rlaarlo, SuChiYu etc they seem to just recycle and even in this case downgrade older models like this one and make a few changes in appearance. Like I mentioned in this video Wltoys had the opportunity to make this 144018 a great upgraded brushless version of the 2+ yr old brushed 144002 that I featured side by side at the start of this video and have it on the market to compete against the mjx hyper go, but instead I feel made this rc truck mainly for kids! They as a company seem to be going backwards real quick these days and it's a shame to see really, as I do indeed own many great wltoys models still in my collection! Looks like it’s just downgraded everything, only new/innovative part is maybe the bumper would be good on the LC racing buggies. Does the bumper feel nice and absorbent?
Yep certainly looks that way, they missed an opportunity to make it decent with proper oil shocks and a brushless system I reckon. Don't really see these selling too many, or the buggy version either.

Yes this would easily fit the buggy models, it's made out of decent plastic so should take a good hit

Yeah i think they should of gone brushless with this one, at least it would have been another option against the Hyper Go smaller scaled trucks
