I've been watching many of them so I can make a good decision on which one to go with. I don't mind a little pulp in my juices. What I am also impressed with is that you present yourself in a clean cut manner! Thank you. Ann
Hi John! Just wanted to say thanks for the videos! I learned about slowjuicers about a month ago. And didnt know which to get. But because of your videos i learned so much and ended up picking the slowstar. Keep up the good work . You are really making a difference! Thank you very much! Jonas (Denmark) :-)
Upgraded from an omega 8004 to a gse5k a bit ago and it's amazing. Biggest issue is that the pulp and juice gets the gear turners dirty on the machine itself and requires intricate cleaning. The omega didn't have this problem because of the flat auger base and tight gasket on the housing. I wish they would redesign the back of the gears and housing for this reason.... to keep the machine itself clean after use.
I was wondering if you could increase the yield of the Slowstar by running the still wet fibre again through the machine? Also could you please give me some more info on the use of flaxseed oil as a healthy addition to wheatgrass juce. I know that it is recommended for reducing excessive foaming of the juice but was not aware of any additional benefit. Could I also use olive oil instead of the flaxseed oil?
scuba453 Wet fiber can be run back thru all juicers to extract more juice. This works well or barely at all depending on the model juicer. On twin gears, this works fairly well. On vertical auger juicers, this does not work particularly well. The oil is simply used to help lubricate the juicer to reduce the foam which increases nutrient value due to lesser oxidation. Any oil can be used, but flax oil is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids. Most Americans do not eat enough Omega 3 fatty acids.
John I love all your videos thank you for sharing. I've decided to go with a Greenstar elite because my family buys only organic fruits and veggies. We want the most yield and the most nutritional juice and I see that the elite will give us just that. I'm gonna replace soda for some healthy juice. Also would like to think great observer for the site that you get your juicing recipes from, those look tasty. Can't wait to try.
Thank you john for the video, I had been Waiting for this juice off to help me make my Decision on what juicer to get out of these Two juicers and I am clearly going with the Greenstar Elite.
Hi John, I've been watching this debate for quite a while. I've never tried the juice from a slow juicer; however, I can tell you that I would as soon drink canned juice as I had juice from a high speed one. To me, it tastes like the high speed one has literally burned the juice. the flavor does not taste anything like the raw flavor of the fruits and veggies. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to manage a slowstar. Keep up the good work!
