The day before this recording session with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK) was scheduled, Angelina's mother (Sara Astar) read the original lyrics & told Angelina they were not appropriate for a 10 yo. So she spent the day re-writing the lyrics & less than 24 hours later she walked into the recording studio, kicked off her sneakers & recorded a 1st take all the way through. Upon listening to the recording her comment was "Yuck," so they recorded this 2nd & final version & they were done! How many adult singer/songwriter Superstars could do that?

Truly remarkable for a preteen to write such great lyrics, which I believe are Angelina's feelings towards Amy Winehouse. Even more remarkable, is for someone so young to make genius level vocal choices, resulting in versions of classic songs, which I, in many cases, enjoy more than the original.
Angelina is one in 10 billion.
You have to listen to more of her more than 200 renditions and originals. She 18 now on the the highest level. Incomparable!

We have confirmation of Angelina's genius. In the description on the video, for this performance, on Angelina's Official TH-cam channel, she writes "So here it is, We recorded this yesterday with amazing orchestra KORK. My version of "Back to Black by Amy Winehouse" I had 1 day to change the lyrics, hope you like my version!" She was 10 years old.
The story has been told, that her mother, Sara, read the original lyrics, the day before the recording session and then told Angelina she couldn't sing them. KORK, had rehearsed the song, so Angelina had to write lyrics to fit the music and she nailed it, beautifully.
There is a news feature video from NRK TV in Norway, where Angelina, her family and a couple friends visit a amusement park and are interviewed. The latter part of the video shows Angelina in a car, reviewing her new lyrics to this song, on her way to the recording session. She only needed a couple takes to make this final video. Yes, it is an adult saying that the lyrics are not suitable for a 10 year old, not the child. In order to re write them she must have had a good understanding. Children are not innocent, just ignorant, some learn faster than others.

In addition to the 150+ covers Angelina has sung over the years of her career (almost all of which are her own arrangements) - she has also been writing songs since she was 10 years 0ld - So far 13 have been released: Oslo, What is Life?, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm The Fool, Fire and Rain, All My Fault, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, Our Time, and Bad Valentine. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs that have yet to be released. Her songs are taken from her Journal writings. When she was 10/11 she rewrote the Lyrics to Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and Rehab to make them more age appropriate at that time. In addition, Angelina performed an unreleased original song Princess of Ruins that she has only performed in concert - if and when that is officially released it will be her 14th original. She also performed two more original unreleased songs at her Los Angeles concert: Thank You and What Am I To You?
She was 10 and she wanted to sing this song but some of the lyrics were inappropriate for her to sing. So, literally hours before the performance Angelina rewrote some of the lyrics. You can see her 'wrinkly' papers on the easel while she was singing.
Can I point something out to you about Angelina's method of singing? Of course at such a young age it is impossible to think she has experienced many of the life situations in the message of a song. But what Angelina does is she looks for the message of love in a song and 'relates' to that love and thus, everything she is singing about sounds believable and listeners are thinking to themselves, "How can she make me feel like she knows what she's singing about?" She feels the love and her soulfulness with it's depth and it's incredible tonality magically transform the sounds of her voice into a form of love in it's purest state and it touches our hearts. And this has been going on since she was 7 years old!

Thank you for your informed analysis. As Andy Schnell explained in his comment below, "they" didn't do anything to make the song Angelina's version. Her mom evidently did not think that the original lyrics were suitable for her, so Angelina rewrote them herself in a day, so perfectly that the band didn't need to change anything with their arrangement for it to fit. If you continue your exploration of her story, you will also see that from very early on, she possessed the bewildering, almost uncanny ability to express the deepest emotions in a song, even when she could not have possibly had the life experiences that would enable her to do so.

If you look up the lyrics for the original and look at the 2nd line of the 1st verse you know why her mother wanted to rewrite the lyrics, it is definity not age appropriate.
