    My personal theory on the Brook and Laboon reunion was that along the way (during the fight against Blackbeard's crew or some other circumstances) Brook was gonna lose his afro and the Tone dial within it, thus leaving him unrecognizable to Laboon.
    Even so, Brook steps up and goes to play Binks Sake for him anyway and by awakening his fruit (either there or prior) is able to temporalily conjure up the rest of the Rumbar pirates to play alongside him, just like they did when they died, thus allowing the whole crew to reunite with Laboon and fulfill the promise they made with him. 🥲

      They both are kinda connected in that way already. Both are swordsmen and after Brook joined he and Zoro met when Brook buried the Rumba pirates and Zoro buried his destroyed blade.

    - (To Arlong) “I can’t fight with swords or read maps, or cook, or lie. But what I CAN do is send you flying!”

    Something I wanna bring up regarding your point about Ussop. Ussop will not become a brave warrior of the sea until he himself thinks that he does. There is a reason that he does not feel brave even now, I think that’s also why Oda has been focusing more and more on his cowardly nature. I feel like when Luffy meets with Shanks again we will find out what being a brave warrior of the sea means to Ussop. Maybe challenging his father Yassop will be what makes him truly brave, and that all this time he has been attributing his idea of bravery to his father.

    • @KaijuKes
      @KaijuKes 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think his feeling of bravery is somehow tied to Yassop as well. Has Usopp ever really been faced with conqueror's haki like Shanks'? Maybe staying conscious through that will help prove to him how brave he is. I also want him to achieve the status of captain and lead a ship of giants at the end.

    personally i think Nami's dream will hold the crew together. There are a lot of island that they haven't visited. They were just following one of the many paths for Raftel. And the whole crew wouldn't stop sailing together until all of their dreams are accomplished. It's also a fitting ending that's satisfactory for all the fans haha.

  • @EdichCW
    @EdichCW 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I personally feel Nami's dream not being able to reasonably be fulfilled within the scope of the story is probably a very intentional thing. It's my personal opinion that an adventure story likely should end with the promise of more adventure for the characters, even if our own time adventuring with them is up. Nami's dream perfectly segues into that kind of 'off into the horizon' ending for the crew.
    Regarding Nami, I also feel like Lodestar Island will be pretty important to her story as well. It was said that if you went to Lodestar you would've figured out the Road Poneglyph thing from there, but since we already know that and we're collecting Road Poneglyphs already it's very possible to just...skip that island and never visit it. But Nami wouldn't want to do that because of her dream, and similarly Luffy would also want to visit the island because of his love for adventure and his readiness to take detours along the way.
    This also ties into another theory I and a lot of others have about how each Yonkou encounter is also providing a second arc for each of the original East Blue Straw Hats. Big Mom and Sanji, Kaidou and Zoro, Shanks and Usopp(a lot of people think the Shanks arc will be at Elbaf), and then finally Blackbeard and Nami.
    Going back to Lodestar Island, Blackbeard would 100% skip Lodestar to go straight to Laugh Tale. All the Emperors have also acted as foils and parallels to Luffy and I think this is part of how Oda will present Blackbeard as a foil to Luffy and tie Nami's second arc into that story. With a theme something along the lines of The Journey vs. The Destination. A person who'll take any detour along the way for a grand adventure vs. a cutthroat who'll take any shortcut he can find to get to his final destination.

    The original opening, "We Are" starts out with something along the lines of "by gathering all of our dreams, we will search for what we're seeking, One Piece". I believe this implies that all of the crewmembers' dreams are connected, and that the - not so innocent - title One Piece encompasses all of the crews dreams, in a way. I do believe, though, that Laugh Tale is located beneath Reverse Mountain, and not the Pangaea Castle, since all of the oceans lead there, making it possible for an All Blue to exist there, and also because it's where Laboon is.
    P.S.: "Hey, I don't play the piano, but here's a perfect rendition of Bink's Sake!" WHAT?

  • @georgiosgiannoukas3319
    @georgiosgiannoukas3319 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I'd be legitimately surprised if Brook's past as a former knight didn't get explored further. That's such an interesting thing to just randomly throw out there in one panel. Feels similar to that one time when Sanji casually mentioned he used to be from the North Blue in Jaya.

  • @young_raymond47
    @young_raymond47 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    That's crazy, I have a very similar theory regarding Laugh Tale. Firstly that it is in the All Blue. Assuming the All blue exists (which it will), it has to be in a hole in the red line by definition, because the East and South Blue are separated from the North and West Blue by the red line. It also makes sense that Laugh Tale would be inside the red line, because it explains why no one just stumbles upon it by chance. I used to wonder why no one would just be able to find it from a sky island, and thought it would be explained by some weather phenomenon.
    I also love this idea because not only would Laugh Tale be beneath Mariejois, but also Above Fishman Island, the idea of Laugh Tale being between two faction that were on opposing sides during the war in the void century is so peotic. So if fishman Island is 10,000m below sea level, then Laugh Tale is 5,000m below sea level. And there is probably some really treacherous Ocean current that only the best navigators can guide a ship through. We know that Fishman Island still has a crucial part to play in the end game because of Shyarly's vision of Luffy destroying Fishamn Island, and the fact that it is under Mariejois has been something that I've kept an eye on for a while. Honestly I would be shocked if this wasn't the case.
    However, as much as I love this theory, I actually don't think this is the location of Laugh Tale/All Blue. Looking at the one piece world map, there are actually two locations that make sense for the All Blue, and as much as I like this first one (below Mariejois), I think I like the other one a bit more, And that is below reverse mountain. Not only would going under reverse mountain represent a complete circumnavigation of the Grand Line, but from a bird eye view, it is the most conspicuous X in the One Piece world. Oda has also been very consciously avoiding have the Straw-Hats backtrack on their journey. It would seem a bit strange to have to go back through half of the Grand Line in order to reach the 'final island'. Other reasons I think it's here are that Laboon is waiting by reverse mountain, so I like the idea that Brook can see Laboon immediately after helping Luffy to fulfil his ambition, but also Luffy made a promise to Laboon, which he can fulfil at the same time. Also, reverse mountain has a strange phenomenon in which water flows up the mountain rather than down; I get the feeling Oda will even explain that using the fact that Laugh Tale is underneath it.
    Lastly, I'm not convinced that the Red Line is artificial, because the Lunarians lived on there before the Celestial Dragons. At the very least, if it was manufactured, it wasn't by the World Government.

    This honestly is a really good theory. The beauty of intertwining so many other Strawhats' dreams while also so nearly fulfilling several narrative pieces that have been set like fishman's noah and destruction would be really satisfying to see all come together so well. Furthermore, seeing all these dreams actually play a part into the story rather than just being touched on here and there or even off screen sounds way better. I've kind of wondered how a dream like Sanji's would sort of get picked back up. I mean he mentions it when we first meet him and that's pretty much it. So to see it come full circle when we wouldve not expected it to play such a massive role would be cool. Moreover, having the all blue and the red line both be super important end-game pieces yet something we knew of all along would be just like Oda to just surprise us with!

    The location you described is where Fishman Island is, but I think theory fits perfectly if that location is under Reverse Mountain instead, on the direct opposite side of the world, where the end of the New World meets all of the Blues and Paradise. The upwards rivers even draw an "X" to mark the spot on the map. Its directly next to where Laboon is, and is where the Straw Hats began and will end their journey.

    Well done to you. I figured the whales looked that way because they could hear Laboon on the other side of the Red Line and were trying to get to him. I like your theory. It explains the details, fills in the gaps of others' theories in the beautiful tapestry that is One Piece. Therein lies the underlying truth - We, too, are on this journey in search of the One Piece. Laugh Tale is obviously the site of the physical treasure, the lost Great Kingdom, the All Blue, etc. However, the real treasure is in our hearts. The relationships we forged along the way. Those little detours. The All Blue is the sea of dreams. Like you said, we shall all achieve our dreams at that All Blue. And, we wouldn't have done so had we not set off on that journey. We had to liberate ourselves first by going on that journey to achieve our dreams. By not giving up on our inner child, our joys and laughter. Enjoying those little detours. The journey itself is the treasure. It seems so obvious that we easily forget it. Once you realize it though, you can't help but laugh. Heck, Bink's Sake is a song about a journey. It actually reminds me of a quote from Hunter x Hunter, and I'm sure it will too once you get to it. So, I won't spoil it here. Basically, We Are the One Piece. We Are.

    Love the way you presented everything and explained why/how it’s super intentional and specifically VERY “Oda” to set these things up in the way he did! I’ve really thought a lot about these pieces of the story a lot and have really WRACKED my brain over how everything fits together, and I think you do a great job at offering a clear, crisp sorta outline for the important pieces of information and how things will happen :)
    This series makes it SO EASY to get caught up in the tiny details, which can sometimes (in the best possible way) keep us from putting the biggest pieces together, and I really love your focus on the themes, and most significant details, and what their implications are!
    Amazing video! Loved it second to end, your cover was really adorable and I can tell this story means so much to you!!

    Right under Marijoa, isn't it Fish-Man Island? My favorite theory is that Laugh Tale is in the center of the planet. (like Jules Verne stuff.) 4 red poneglyphs lead to a random place in the ocean where there are no islands. But if you dive, you can find a crack through which you can get to the center of the planet. (Where all the oceans connect. And it is from there that the currents go to the Water 7 fountain, to the Wano waterfall, as well as the Reverse mountain) From there, you can almost instantly get into any part of the world.(Which will help Nami fulfill her dream of drawing a map of the world.) I think the WG is hiding the fact that they committed genocide. For the sake of defeating the creators of the Devil Fruits. Namely, as the superstitious people of the past called them "Devils" or "D" for short, 20 kings flooded the world with water and built a redline. But "D" managed to leave behind poneglyphs, ancient weapons and one piece in the center of the planet.All so that one day their descendants would take rematch. (Also, the full name of Trafalgar D. Water Law leads me to the idea that the "law of water", namely, not the ability of those who have eaten fruit to swim, will be eliminated at the end of One Piece. How exactly, I advise you to re-read Skypiea, that part about the Pyrobloin molecule)

    going off what you said about the dreams overlapping, back in onigashima when kaido asked luffy what world he wanted to make, and he said one where everybody could eat together in a big feast. Sanji wants to cook a great meal from the fish in the all blue and if the one piece is bink’s sake, then the have a feast coupled with drinks that everybody could eat once they’re all liberated and united or something

    A lot of what you've theorized in here is in line with ideas I've been pondering for a while, too, especially the part where everyone's dreams are connected to each other. Destroying the Red Line to reach the All Blue makes SO MUCH sense, to say nothing of the thematic poetry of Luffy's fundamental desire for freedom-- the Red Line divides the world and makes travel really difficult for most people, and doing away with this sort of division along with the class and racial divides that exist in the world, just seems so much in line with what this series is about and what Luffy is all about.
    Always assumed the Brook and Laboon reunion would happen because of this, but the specific ideas you have in here had never occurred to me and I really like them! No idea what Oda has planned, but if this was part of it I sure wouldn't be mad. :)
    (As for what the One Piece is and what Laugh Tale's deal is, I have my theories on that, too, but I don't want to say too much in case I'm right and someone gets spoiled or something.)

    Dreams:
    * Luffy: The Pirate King part of it is completed at Laugh Tale
    East Blue:
    * Zoro: He needs to defeat Mihawk, can happen at any time
    * Nami: Hers is the one that cannot be completed in the series, as she needs to travel the other routes of the Grand Line, plus all 4 Blues, but she will be the only one to properly put Laugh Tale in a map, so when she is finally done with it, she will for sure be the first one to do it properly
    * Usopp: As you said, already fulfilled, imo, but he needs to realize of it himself, that can happen at Elbaf, during the final war (and don't forget that Blackbeard is also there, so I see 3 factions facing each other), or even when he visits Kaya back at Syrup Village, and he notices the distance from who he was to where he is now.
    * Sanji: As you said, creating the All Blue underneath Marie Geoise, where Fishman Island is, the place where he said "I found my All Blue" fits perfectly
    Paradise:
    * Chopper: Same as Nami, he needs more time, as he wants to be a doctor who can cure every illness, and thanks to Roger dying of an illness, we know there's no miracle cure available in Laugh Tale
    * Robin: Probably the same as Luffy, she needs the Rio Poneglyph that tell the hidden history, and based on what Rayleigh said, they must be at Laugh Tale, too
    * Franky: His dream is automatically fulfilled once the Sunny gets to Laugh Tale, or at most, when it gets back to Water 7 completing the circumnavigation of the world.
    * Brook: A visit to the Twin Capes completes his dreams
    New World:
    * Jinbe: For the Fishman to live on the surface in peace with the humans, his inherited dream from Fisher Tiger and Otohime, comes hand in hand with the Red Line perishing as well
    and potential Strawhats:
    * Carrot: Her dream is also inherited, from Pedro this time, and it's to usher this Dawn we've been waiting for, and that also happens with the destruction of Marie Geoise. --If you asked me at Whole Cake Island, I was 200% sure she would join the crew as our lookout, with the little time she's had in Wano I'm not that sure anymore, but I still want her in
    * Yamato: Honestly, I don't know what long-lasting dream she might have. She inherited Oden's will, and the last thing he wanted is happening now: JoyBoy coming back, and Wano opening the borders again. We can say it's also the coming of this new Dawn, perhaps? --There are solid arguments both for her joining, and for her staying at Wano, I'm not fully on board with any, but it's certainly a possibility.
    * Momonosuke: No idea what his dream might be --I personally doubt he'll join, and honestly I don't want him to, but a lot of people say he might, so I'm listing him here, too.
    And yes, I divided them by sea, so we can see both patterns followed when adding people to the crew: 4 new members per sea, and following a "male-female-male-male" pattern, and since I'm at it, let's see how they fill the fan-accepted criteria for being a Strawhat:
    * Already covered the gender pattern: that immediately opens the door for Carrot and Yamato, and even for both as Yamato is also Oden, and for Momo, too, afterwards.
    * Dream: Already covered as well. Carrot checks, not sure about Yamato's, no idea about Momo.
    * Unique fighting style: Carrot: Electro + Sulong. Yamato: Kanabō + Makami Mythical DF. Momo: Dragon Mythical DF.
    * Tragic Backstory: Carrot: Nothing extremely tragic shown about her, but we see that before Pedro took her in, she didn't fit anywhere, so there might be more to it. Yamato: Yes. Momo: Yes.
    * Role on the ship: Carrot: Lookout (rabbits are naturally far-sighted, and she was the de-facto lookout the time she spent on the ship). Yamato: IDK. Momo: IDK.

    Why am I crying?!!! 😭 This is so beautiful and well done and makes so much sense!! 💖the ending with them having all their dreams come true because their paths and dreams were unknowingly interwoven from the start…chills. I know there’s a whole anime trope of “the power of friendship” but if Oda writes it, you know he always takes everything to an unprecedented level, and it would be a magnificent way to end the series. I would absolutely cry happy tears for days if it ends like this…this is an amazing analysis!! Thank you!!

    Love the theory!
    I like to think that half the strawhats dreams/goals is instrumental to Luffy becoming the pirate king and the other half starts when he is the pirate king like:
    Nami will draw the new map for what will happen when the red line collapses,
    Robin will reveal to the world what the void century is maybe she'll write books or teach people on their journey,
    Sanji will feed the hungry after the great war from the recipes he will get from the all blue (maybe that's why he learned the kamabaka recipe), and Jimbe's goals.

    Tiny point of interest, Franky has not completed his dream yet. Just like Tom's ship successfully managed for Roger.
