- Shahid Kapoor candidly opened up about his insecurities as an actor, reflecting on his experience working on the film 'Rangoon' with director Vishal Bhardwaj. When asked about his on-set relationship with Kangana Ranaut, he paused before acknowledging that he gets along fine with her and admires her as a wonderful actress. Shahid also admitted to questioning his choice on doing 'Padmaavat', but he commended the entire cast for their exceptional work. He acknowledged that at the time, he may not have had the perspective he needed. In such situations, Shahid prefers to maintain professionalism and fulfill his job. I Think Shahid's Charecter in Padmavat is equally powerful. It is just the audience who like bad guys therefore Ranveer's performance was applauded.

Shahid you were really good in Padmavat. Ranveer took the credit because it was a negative role but that doesn’t discredit your role or acting at all.
Shahid is a completely changed man post Kabir Singh. He is quite straight forward now and doesn’t entertain the interviewer’s shit at no cost!
I loved the way Shahid embodied his role in Padmavat. He was excellent. Ranveer did get more credit than he deserved because of his rather loud performance but the media is equally to be blamed because they kept talking about Ranveer and Deepika from Padmavat and didn't really highlight the fact that Shahid was in it too.
The movie was crap. The only redeeming thing was Ranveer trying his best to save the movie. Deepika's was a highly underwhelming performance. Shahid's character had huge potential but SLB did not put much input into writing it.
It's insulted to the history. Deepika only looks beautiful. The movie is belong to Ranveer

This is the same trip sunny deol went on after shahrukhs performance in Darr. At the end of the day, when the film arrives on the directors plate for editing, they choose to take a certain route which they feel will do more justice to what they want their movie to portray about their story. Clearly, ranveers mad cap performance outshone him.

Dilip Kumar is not the tallest or most conventionally good-looking guy, but he surely looked his part as Salim in Mughal-E-Azam. What to say about Prithviraj Kapoor. Or Ranveer in Bajirao Mastani, for that matter.
