*the key is becoming aware of our negative thoughts, becoming an observer without judging ourselves, taking the time to understand where they are coming from, what are we telling ourselves. When we become aware then it gets easier to substitute them for positive ones*
I wish I could figure out why I fail to act in advance and keep getting worse, maybe its the negative people I dont know how to change or get away from.
I know!!!! I cannot even count how many times I have replayed them or have listened to them. If only he could have them as guests more often. At least they have their own podcasts :)
I like how I successfully programed my mind to mute all commercials on youtube....Then I forget to unmute the video. :) Mr. Bean where are you may mute even the orchestra. :) ......I like some czech actor did interviews along with few other actors..........He said he is a jerk (mentally fragile and sensitive) he has therapist, he talks openly about it....He also has obsession of cleaning the house with vacuum cleaner, and using all kinds of cleaning products...and he is doing jokes about it, his friends also do jokes of his cleaning obsession....The viewers askedwhether during this coronavirus he enjoyed the cleaning, whether he had the orgasm from cleaning..He was joking in another episodes of the live streamthat he is having orgasm from the cleaning, that its like porn. that he doesnt like robitic vacuum cleaners, because he doesnt get the rush of energy from it....He takes his mental anxiety or condition seriously, but also he is joking around because he is an actor from Ukraine, living in czech His friends actorsdo joke about it too......During this corona crisis he says he cant listen the politicians on tv so he used to mute the tv, he was doing dabing and creating his own text, of their speech.... and watching and learning their body language, learning their various of types of personalities, so he may use it in his work, in theater....When he gets tired of the tv he is going to clean the house......twice...Viewers asked him whether he borrowed some cleaning products, or vacuum cleaner on vacation...He said yes, I cleaned everything and the guy thought I am a jerk.
What has been working for me lately is basically stepping outside myself, it’s almost as I’m looking at myself from a third person view. Then I look at the situation subjectively and act accordingly instead of immediately reacting to things based on my initial emotions.
He and Tom are the two best people I've discovered this year. James Clear was the best new discovery last year. Tom, a new interview with Dr. Dispenza would be amazing!
Bless Rios The Young Eagle 1) The untethered soul by Michael A singer 2) Sleep smarter by Shawn Stevenson 3) Lies my Doctor told me by Dr.Ken Berry 😁😁😁
Am listening to this over and over and plan to write it up so it goes into my long term memory. Its helping me get over being dumped by my boyfriend recently due to my fearful actions to being threatened by his ex. Fear takes over and leads to anger the energy required for fight and flight. Everyone in the situation was acting on fear but I can only change myself. Pity I didn't know then what I know now. This Eckhart Tolle have literally saved me from a life of never ending hurt due to the CPTSD from the violence I have suffered in my life. Hard to trust men says my brain. THANK YOU for sharing.
This was the first interview that got me hooked to impact theory. Dr Joe Dispenza defines so elegantly about how an incident leads to emotions, to mood, to personality. Understanding how our thoughts would change our body and vice versa is really important to start making a shift. Thanks for the reminder Tom. And it was a great interview with Dr Joe Dispenza.
I really needed this. But... I recently ended a relationship and its been though for me to deal with it. As Dr. Dispenza mentioned, it's been weeks now and every day my head starts to think about this girl and it feels almost like a war zone between thinking "we were not compatible" VS "the problem is on me" and even though of course there are some things I learnt from this experience to improve those aspects of me, I keep feeling sad all of sudden, keep wondering, etc. We do not talk anymore if you could wonder that but listening to this I worry that it becomes part of my personality, in respect to relationships. Adding more to the fact that I noticed recently I have become an introvert in the recent years; I have been distancing myself from people, judging them in my mind because of bad experiences trusting people, getting lied on, etc. so I started to "prevent" myself to interact with them; I was not like this years before, and of course human nature notices this so I think they perceive my introvertness... Well I just opened myself here, I just wanted it to say it, if you kept reading, thanks a lot and I am sorry if this issues with me may become a load for your day. Blessings 🙁👐
What practical steps could I take? Please give me your perspectives. I am going to be disciplined on this to overcome it and be a better person for myself and for others.
Tom i am so inspired by your work.Your content is rich and life changing man🙏🏾.Been following it up a while now even inspired me to start up my own TH-cam channel to teach what I’m learning all thanks to you😊💪🏽 .
What he says in first 40 seconds of this video is profound! Pay close attention, it will change what you place your focus on and how you experience your life in the future. Had I had this information when I was younger it would’ve changed the course of my life. 🌹
Mood Temperament Personal trait *You have to make change and it will feel uncomfortable. It will fight to drag you back to the known territory. Self sabotage. *You keep doing and feeling the same it keeps hardwired.
Negative thinking is like corona virus. Try to overcome from negative thoughts. Positivity is a Ray of hope. Spread positivity throughout the day. Success is the byproduct of positive thinking.
Joe just described my brother to a T. He is always recounting events in his life, even going back 35 years to explain why he feels a certain way about people or situations, and once he gets going on his story it's hard to stop him. I feel really bad for him cus I can tell he's always tense and full of anguish.
Moods > Temperament > Personality Traits. Why limbic brain recalls emotional moments? Don't want to experience unknown. Body = Subconscious Mind Mature choice= not to decide same things like robot/addict.
All negativity does not in fact come from human beings. As all human beings are in fact a 'body of love'. All negativity actually comes from that body of 'past pain' that slowly builds up within the stomach area of each of us over time. A body of past pain that is constantly working to express itself through not only our thoughts. But also through all of our cruel words and actions. Yes, your SELF. He is your one and only real enemy.
Negative thinking is a habit. It is a thought pattern that has been conditioned. Avoid recalling negative scenarios because that will invoke the same emotions and therefore glue the memories. Emotions are like glue to experiences. The more emotion that is around, the deeper the experience will get wired.
I disagree. Unless you actually turn your attention inward and destroy all of your inner demons you are merely playing emotional games. You are actually being deluded by your self, into freely giving your self exactly what IT wants. And as such, your suffering will continue.
NowisEvollovetion positive thinking Will get you far. What I believe you didn’t understand is that I am not referring to positive thinking as this fake delusional pretending to be happy...I am taking about stacking all those issues and traumas head on, so that in the end you can feel that happiness within
@@AndreyZenperial No. Positive thinking will not get you very far at all. All you will in fact end up doings is going around and around in a series of never ending circles. One day contented, and the next unhappy. Look! You will never achieve the hallowed state of equilibrium (constant peace of mind) by compromising with your enemy. The truth is, you will actually have to burn your enemy out of you by turning the light of your attention inward and directing it straight at him. I mean, why do you think that all demons hide in the dark as they do? If not in an effort to avoid the light of your attention. Their 'one and only' real fear.
Memory and emotion are an amazing thing. This is interesting one of my guests on my channel, NLP Comedian Michael Bennett, said the same stuff. Joe explained mood and temperament really well. I also interviewed a Sports Psychologist Joann Lukins too and she suggested a good way to change is using what is referred to as the "Goal, when, then" strategy. I really love hearing this stuff and cannot get enough. I love hearing about other people's passions and learning from their common human experience. Thus why I came up with People with a Passion. Tom's guests are alwaays inspiring.
Wenn is he coming back to impact theory? But please, not for just 30 minutes. Now would be a great time to listen to him again. Please!!!! Despite that I love you work Tom. Your show is a must. Take care
Wow "people become addicted to the emotions from the painful event" Never would have thought of it this way! I guess this is a different way of discussing "feedback loops" and how they can spiral. So important to shorten the period of emotional response to kill the feedback loop and stop the addiction to the emotion.
The fear of what might happen stops people, but the trauma process is so beautiful and transformational. Would you agree massive gain can come from trauma, with the right mindset? Ricki@TheSkyLifeProject
Remembering events is not necessary to heal your anxiety and depression . What matters is to start noticing and feeling the emotions and sensations in your body.
*the key is becoming aware of our negative thoughts, becoming an observer without judging ourselves, taking the time to understand where they are coming from, what are we telling ourselves. When we become aware then it gets easier to substitute them for positive ones*
On point with that...agreed.

As long as the positives ones are “realistic” and not burying your head under the sand!
Joe dispenza and david goggins’ interviews... never gets old ... pure gold.❤️

Ikr! They’re my FAV interviews by far!
Negative thinking can also be triggered by the friends you have, what you watch, listen to or read. God bless everyone and stay safe
its inevitable to avoid those things
I've quit listening to some music because of that reason. I love how the music sounds, but the message it programs my mind with is just too negative.

Ive already rewatched his interview twice in the four weeks I have been self quarantining

You should invite him again.
