I read a couple articles a while back, that the speings are failing because of pollution and the flow is slowing down. Enjoy them while we can, before we ruin them too.
Yep, I was going to mention Juniper Springs. I enjoyed that one. I like Wekiva too, but these springs are better during the week, as the weekend sucks with it being overcrowded.
As a paddle boarder I'm a big fan of Florida's Springs. For paddlers I would like to add Silver Springs, 5 mile run with good oportunities for wildlife , Manatees and maybe Monkeys. Juniper Springs is a 7 mile run. Small swimming area that feeds a big creek that twists through a incredible setting. If you paddle board Juniper it has to be a hard board, no inflatables. Also use short fins or no fin. There are sticks/roots just under the surface in some areas. Thanks for the great video. You've added some to my "things to do" list.
Juniper Springs has been my favorite for over thirty years! Beautiful campgrounds, fantastic canoe run and scenery, family friendly swimming hole/spring, snack bar/hot food in the pool area. Lots of wildlife along the canoe/kayak run.
How are the horse flies there? Years ago when I was cave diving throughout the states springs, I remember Juniper for these relentless, large black biting flies. 😂 It didn’t stop me from going there several times (had to after diving at Alexander), thanks!
Silver Springs is real, real nice, as well as the most mentioned when I visit Rainbow Springs, a local state park. Glad to see it was close to the top of your list. It is a terrific place to spend a day, or a weekend at the camp grounds in the park.
Having lived in Fla for 30 years I've been to a lot of these....heading to Rainbow River tomorrow. However, you've turned me on to some new ones that are now on my bucket list
That is so great that it was helpful! We have been hitting the springs on weekdays and it has made a big difference in enjoying them, just wanted to share that in case it helps you!!

Lithia Springs was a local spring I would go to so I could cool off during the summer months I would go during the week when it was empty. One of my favorite things was swimming in place at the head of the spring. Ichetucknee Springs is pretty incredible too. Your guaranteed to see a Manatee. The Rainbow River (flowing out of #2 Rainbow Springs) is a great place to kayak if you want to see Florida wildlife in an alligator-free river. An early morning trip at sunrise offers the opportunity to see and paddle along with a family of otters - I don't know of any other place in Florida with otters. You'll also see a wide assortment of birds, from ducks and egrets to osprey. As the day warms, every log sticking out of the water is almost guaranteed to have turtles relaxing in the sunshine. Amazing place.

@@CampTravelExplore Oh, yes, no one there. Yet, oddly enough, when the owner decided to start turning it into a park, there was significant improvement. He started charging 25 cents per person, and put in some of the wooden decks like the one at Ginnie. People stopped rutting the place up with pickups and 4 wheelers and leaving beer cans lying around when they had to come up with 25 cents to enter the area. Thanks again for the video!
Lived in Florida my whole life but we visited mostly Central Florida and the keys. Awesome to learn about more springs. Wekiva is awesome. The island is a bit crazy. Love the Manatee Festival at Blue Spring. Alexander is amazing. Love the Ocala National Forest. Kelly Park does not allow dogs. That’s why we went to Magnolia- no spring. Rock is another great one. Glad to add some to my list. Manatee spring you can scuba. Salt Springs is a huge swim area. DeLeon Springs with its make your own pancakes at Sugar Mill Restaurant is awesome. Great job. Alice
My Dad used to run the KP Hole Park downstream about a mile from Rainbow Springs! He had to give the place up though, back in 1993. I miss those days!! 🏊🚣🏞
Wonderful! Great guide to top-10 Florida springs. Very much like the underwater and aerial footage. Would be great to visit those locations. Thanks for sharing and have a great week 😀👍
Great recommendation. Thanks. The water so clear. I assume that since it's a spring, it is fresh water. Our springs are nothing like yours in Florida. Great video. Keep 'em coming. Have fun, stay safe and stay healthy!
We love your channel and are so thankful you've shared about the springs in FL! We've been to Florida many times in our lives and never even knew about the springs until last year when we saw your videos! We've explored a couple this season and can't wait to see more! Thank you again!

That's amazing. I didn't know the USA had places like that. I looks like some places in Brazil. It reminded me of some places like Bonito, Chapada dos Veadeiros, Chapada Diamantina and Jalapão.
The tubing run at #4 looks like heaven! Well, they all actually look amazing and the colors of the water - wow! Just stunning & thanks to your dive buddy 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, yes the water color especially at Silver Glen even surprised us! Yes Joe and I will be doing some videos together soon, all water related! Thanks for your continued support!

Man, we went to the Yucatan peninsula and swam in the cenotes there only to later find out that people dump their waste and unprocessed sewage directly into the underground waterways. I wish I had known about the Florida springs, we could have just stayed here in the U.S. and visited these instead!
Breaks my heart that they took out the diving/jumping platform at Gilchrist Blue Spring. I visited a few years back, and the diving platform was already gone. I don't know if it was before or after it became a state park, but it was a bummer. I went there specifically because of the platform. I know why things like this aren't more common, but I sure like the idea.
The headwaters of the Hillsborough River, near Zephyrhills, used to be an admission charging park. I loved going there in the 80's. I think it was privately owned and am not sure what has happened to it. It was a daytime recreation spot.
@@shadowfax9177 thank you. I sure had some magical days there. I'm an artist and would do little oil paintings on site. And I took photos with an underwater camera to paint the fish back in my studio.
I'm not sure if there's a campground there but Three sisters springs is absolutely amazing in the winter. It is the only place to legally swim with manatees in Florida. I am one of those bah humbug I don't want to do that type people and I was talked into it and I'm telling you it was freaking amazing. The manatees will come right up to you.

I didn't read too far, but I did see one mention of Salt Springs. I haven't been in 50yrs to any public spring but I did swim and scuba in Salt Springs as a kid and thought it was great.
Great list; thank you! You had a few on your top 10 that others I follow had not mentioned. Ichetucknee has been ranked by many as better than Ginnie since Ginnie is a party place. I think Ginnie actually has 6-7 springs along the float. I see many are commenting about Silver Springs. I love that one too-- I have been twice and did the glass bottom boat tours first and then the kayak rental. Was just there two weeks ago and kayaked alongside manatees and gators with a respectful distance. Cannot get out and swim in this one though; not permitted and definitely not recommended with all the gators!
Perfectly said..... Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you. Please excuse my manner. If you find my message abusive, I'd love to be your friend and hope there's nothing wrong with that.
It was a long time ago, but I loved that tubing run at Rock Springs!!! Have also been to Alexander Springs and it really is like a giant swimming pool.
I love the tube run at Rock Springs, one of the most underrated activities in Florida we think! Thanks for checking it out for us, also we did a whole video on the tube run at Rock Springs if you want to check it out and let us know what you think!!
Love silver springs in Ocala Bc it was Florida’s first tourist attraction and riding the glass bottom boats are always a good time. Oh and don’t forget about the monkeys around the park. Silver springs has also been a filming location for dozens of films, including scenes from the original James Bond films
So glad we could help you! We have individual videos of each of those too if you need an in depth look at any of them! Let us know which ones you make it to and thank you for checking it out for us!!
Well visiting my son I got to see several of these and how to say they’re worth the travel if they are just breathtaking in the water so clear.! Can’t go wrong any one of the springs.
Kelly Springs, which I believe is part of Rock Springs is stunning! I did some kayaking there and was just blown away by it's beauty. I'm definitely going to have to check out the Ocala National Park area which seems to have the best springs in the state hands down.
You did good job with this video buddy. I appreciate your time. ❤ thank you. Do you know what time is best time to get there on weekends. I know in summer there are a lot of people going there.👍
I'd say the most notable part of Silver Glen is the fish. You have to basically be the first people there right when it opens, but if you do, you can see massive ribbons made up of hundreds of fish just milling about.
I have a natural spring on my property in Hudson Florida that goes down 250ft deep and opens to the size of Raymond James stadium and it connects to Weeki Wachee i go swimming in it very often in the summer always a perfect 76 degrees all year round.
Thanks so much! I just planned a FL camping route and you have covered all of the places and more we wish to go. Thanks so much for these amazing videos and information!
Not as comprehensive as your top five springs in Florida with campgrounds, but still very helpful, and the photography is beautiful. I don't think any of us would mind if you made a video like this longer with more information included... I thank you for all you do for us, but would ask if you could please put the list of these springs in the description, and make it copyable so we can paste it to our lists easily. Thanks!
CampTravelExplore Your videos are already better than most! I only recently discovered your channel, and subscribed. I appreciate your taking the time to share this information in such an organized way--plus it's so enjoyable to see the beauty in your videos and photographs. My suggestions are made just for selfish reasons, as I'm making a very detailed itinerary for when the pandemic is over.
Ginnie springs while beautiful is in reality a lot less fun than any other spring on the list because it’s always SO crowded.. like can’t even park, super loud, and the people who go and party there leave so much garbage. I have never been on a weekday but maybe that’s the time to go 🤷♀️
I hear ya on that front, we have filmed 15 different springs now and we go on weekdays it is incredible how sometimes there was almost no one around! I think that is the way to visit them if you can. Now in the summer it may be busy all the time, but certainly its worth trying in these next couple of months. Thanks for checking it out and leaving us feedback!!
Ginnie springs was the biggest two and a half hour drive, disappointment I've ever had, period. It was so packed this past weekend when we went I literally couldn't get out of the water quick enough because it was so packed, I felt like I was just floating in human piss & sweaty gross body gunk. They were sold out of paddle boards so I was forced to settle for tube rentals (even though we were told to wait a half HR for tubes & the paddle boards were actually available, we found out after the fact). When we finally got down the the actual Ginnie springs hole, it too was packed & pretty much unenjoyable aside from footage I got deeper in the spring & of the caves. All in all a 5 hr drive for a miserable 2 hr experience that cost us $65 10/10 would never recommend (their entry fee is also outrageous at $20/ person)...
We wasted a two hour drive too… horribly packed. Then, when we asked one of the employees if there were any other springs in the area.. she said no, they were the only ones… that was a lie. Do not recommend it!
You may not have been to Wassisa springs because I would have put it with Ichetucknee at the top three along with Fanning Springs but saw why you put Ginnie and Gilchrist in there also great springs with plenty of activities , Blue Springs is indeed with Manattee springs a two. for manatee spotting best destinaations, also might add Rainbow and Silver springs are second or third for kayaking to Ichetucknee springs.
Loved Ichetucknee and if they had as campground they would have been higher on the list! Silver Glen is my personal fav for swimming! Kelly is my fave to camp at! Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate it!!
These places are beautiful!!! I've been wanting to visit Ginnie Springs for a long time, but it's good to know there are other beautiful places there as well.
Our two personal Fav's on this list are Silver Glen and Rock Springs at Kelly Park, and we have individual videos on them if you want to check them out! Also, here is a tip from us, we go on Mondays and Tuesday a bunch and sometimes there is almost nobody there, the weekends are so crowded the springs don't feel the same, so try that if you get the chance! Thanks for your comment!!!

We just did a Silver Springs kayaking video a couple of episodes back, were you able to check it out? I think you would enjoy it!
Thanks for the video, we are planning a roadtrip starting in Fl and wanted to visit some springs while there, this was very helpful!👍🏽
So glad we could help you! We have individual videos of each of those too if you need an in depth look at any of them! Let us know which ones you make it to and thank you for checking it out for us!!
@@CampTravelExplore Will definitely check the individual videos! There is so much to see in FL, how are we ever going to pick? LOL Thanks again!
Well visiting my son I got to see several of these and how to say they’re worth the travel if they are just breathtaking in the water so clear.! Can’t go wrong any one of the springs.
Thats so great! What are a couple of your favorites?
Wow these are great! Thank you so much for making the list.
So glad you enjoyed it!!
I went to a few springs last year, I liked Poe. Surprised it isn't on here. I'm going back this year to check out silver springs and ichituknee
We never did Poe, will have to check it out
Manatee Springs in Chiefland, Fl - great camping area - the run goes into the Suwannee River
Manatee is on our list to hit soon! Thank You for checking out our video!!
Vortex Springs, Morrison Springs, Pittsburgh and Sullivan Springs!
Good ones, thanks for that feedback!!
Damn Spell check! Pitt and Sillvian Springs
lol
Fanning Springs is also a must
Thats one we will check out!!
Kelly Springs, which I believe is part of Rock Springs is stunning! I did some kayaking there and was just blown away by it's beauty. I'm definitely going to have to check out the Ocala National Park area which seems to have the best springs in the state hands down.
We just went back to Rock Springs to film the kayaking there, that episode will come out soon, but yes, Kelly park is one of our personal favs!
Ginnie Springs is the best. Ultimate experience..... LOVE THESE VIDS.....
Ginnie is so nice, but I do love Rainbow though and the kayaking there is tremendous! Thank You for leaving us feedback, we really appreciate it!
I love florida's beaches!
This is a great Pro tip, Thank You! Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Absolutely stunning. You perked my ears up even more when you mentioned kayaking🤩
Wow, love it. Ty for sharing!
Thank You so much! We are glad you enjoyed it! yes the kayaking is so nice at these stops!
@@CampTravelExplore you're welcome
😊
I have a natural spring on my property in Hudson Florida that goes down 250ft deep and opens to the size of Raymond James stadium and it connects to Weeki Wachee i go swimming in it very often in the summer always a perfect 76 degrees all year round.
Nice!!
Incredible video, Tom! Such beautiful places I never knew even existed.
Thanks so much Randy! Yes I am just discovering them myself over these last three years!!
Green cove springs has a tiny spring that feeds into a swimming pool at the park always cold and it flows into the st.johns river
Great hidden tip! Thanks for checking it out!!
Very nice video!!! I want to see all of them!
Do it! We go on Mondays and Tuesdays when we hit the springs and they are so less crowded! Hope you check them out!!
Can’t wait to explore these places!!
kassie bartkovich Yes you need to get out there and check them out! Share the episode link with anyone who will enjoy!! TY Kassie!!
visit ginnie springs you can find a lot of things and have a fun time swimming there
Ty for showing on a Florida map
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Thanks so much! I just planned a FL camping route and you have covered all of the places and more we wish to go. Thanks so much for these amazing videos and information!
So glad you enjoyed it Suzanne! Where is your first stop on the trip?
Our first stop in FL will be Anastasia State Park!
Suzanne Lee We love Anastasia! We’re you able to check out our recent episode from there?
CampTravelExplore yes! I binged a bunch of your episodes last night and had my family watch too. Getting excited!
Thank You so much! Enjoy your trips!!!
Gorgeous waters
Hope you get out there and check them out!!
@@CampTravelExplore That would be very cool.
Not on your list, but it’s the only one visited so far and I thought it was great. Salt Springs. Had it all to my self this morning.
I hear good things about that one as well, on our list to hit!
Awesome , Thanks C.T.E.
Thanks for checking it out and Thank You!!
Welp...time to add more springs to the future list. Thanks CampTravelExplore!
Some great ones there! It is so worth hitting them all!
Thanks!
I will figure out how to incorporate more info in the descriptions! Thank You for taking the time to comment and help us make our content better!!
Thank You for your support and always give us feedback! Thank You so much!
This a fabulous video with a wealth of information! Thank you!
Thank You for that feedback!! We appreciate you leaving these kinds of comments!!
Thanks joe Oceanside
Joe Oceanside and I did a video down in Boca Chita Key if you want to check it out!! Thanks for watching!!
Silver Springs with the glass bottom boat tours
If you could swim at Silver Springs, it would definitely be on this list! The kayaking there is tremendous as well!
Too many reptilian beasties at Silver Springs to swim.
I've been to several of these springs and I can agree with this list. Great video!
Thank You for checking it out for us!!
Truly an excellent video 📸! Thank you for sharing!!!
Hey we are so glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the kind words!!
I agree. Ginnie Springs is a bit too crazy. Plus people speed.
I loooove Ginnie!! Great family fun🤩
Great list, can’t wait to see devils den!
Yes Devils Den is a must! Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for taking time to make this video!! Going to springs in a week!
So glad you enjoyed it!!
We are for sure going to add all of these to our bucket list!
I hope you see them all! TY for watching and appreciate your feedback!
I like rainbow springs too 1 of many childhood fav
Love Rainbow too, so beautiful there and some of the best kayaking in the state!! TY for watching and commenting!
Thank you! We look forward to kayaking in these places!
Hope you enjoy! TY for watching and commenting!
Knowing the general temperature of the water of each spring would be great.
All Florida Springs tend to be 72-74 degrees year round.
@@CampTravelExplore Thank you.
Morrison springs is pretty incredible .
Will add that one to check out, thank you so much!!
I kayaker at rainbow spring it was just amazing
Rainbow Springs is some of the very best kayaking we have done in Florida!!
@@CampTravelExplore I definitely will check those out. Good to know! I will definitely take that into consideration. I work Fri-Sun for that reason. Love having things to myself haha and social distancing has made it even better!
Great! Let us know what you thought when you go!
