Which bit of tech stood out to you the most? ⚙
I find that this year most guys didn’t cover much, some only managed about 2 rushed uploads and went home, you however have gone that much further. Must be that special GCN + energy gel you using! Well Done, now head home before the Mrs clamps your wheels.
Thanks for the kind words 🙌 We love going to these events... we're in our happy place!
We want Schwalbe Clik Valve
That’s in the last video
We want to know what's inside the clik valve first.
@@galenkehler I'm just gonna buy it on faith bro, it's too good.
I am also a sucker for anodized aluminum parts. Industry 9 does some of the most beautiful hubs, stems, headsets, etc.. The great part is, they make everything in my hometown, Asheville, NC!
Anodized frames?
What more could you want 🙌
Huge Respect to TRP, they are creating the next generation of gear technology within the rear hub, I think this is great work from a company that gets no recognition because of Shimano and SRAM.
It would be good for the consumer if Campagnolo and TRP were in the market making quality products.
They didnt make or design the hub. Theyre just integrating it because they have nothing else to offer the market other than their brakes.
Don't give up on the stoke Alex... keep that torch lit while there at Eurobike!!!!!
Never 🙌
Thanks Chloe for allowing this. =)
you're welcome!
On behalf of everyone, Wife please don't leave him 😊😊
Imagine how much time for a bike he'd have
These Industry Nine wheels with pink hubs would look great on my EF Cannondale 🤩
Daze 57, good onya Hector
I thought I heard Hector say 57 but then I thought I was hearing things. Not sure who exaggerates more, Ollie or Hector. 😀
rumour has it, he's still at the show floor
All the stalls have been put away ... Alex is still there 🙌
Off topic, but I must pose a question for the GCN Tech Crew. Why is there not more 32in Bike components? I understand "Big Wheel" Bikes are not for everyone. However, there seems to be an uncanny lack of resources available. I have seen a couple videos recently of Conor and El Alto(36), and the experience of building that bike to fit his size. It has made me think of the advantages a bike designed for 32x3.25 tires could have for Gravel or cruising, in certain scenarios or environments. I understand mass produced components and bikes would not be feasible for such a niche market. However, why is it so difficult to find a wheel shop that will put together a pair of 32in disk brake wheels? I was only able to find about 4 companies that make rims in that size between aluminum and carbon. With so many people ordering carbon frames for custom bike builds, why is there not at least a couple companies offering one or two carbon lay up patterns designed to accommodate 32in? As a welder, I know I can order Titanium Components and design and weld a frame that will accommodate my needs. But as already mentioned, the lack of components really makes me question the long term feasibility of such a build. Even getting parts for a 32in Unicycle has become difficult in the last half a decade.
Day 57?
We'll check... Alex has been keeping score on his wall 🤣
Thanks to his wife for borrowing him to do these outstanding reports for us.
They really are.
So much different to TechShow.
Let him do it again all the next years!!!
I'd volunteer to take care about the wife in the mean time and certainly many others would join...
5:07 anybody know what those fork bags are? I can't see any mention of them online, and I bet they're cheaper than the Ortlieb fork packs
"...and at this stage, I'm not even sure if I like bikes anymore." 😂
Awesome video as always but the sound is quite soft.💯👌🏻✌🏻🚴♂️
Big tech in YOUR shoes...nice...
Do you know when the Liv Avail e + is going to be released in the UK please?
Good intro alex😅
Should have called out Hunt for still selling hookless wheels. Have they not learnt anything...
Amazing… the china factory didn’t get the memo
Gravel wheels hookless and carbon spokes
Oh yes that is safe
Gakk
No hub sound check on the new Hunt wheels....? Oli must be disappointed...
I recall seeing a Storck stand but no feature here? Aren’t they good?
There is so much tech at Eurobike it's hard to catch it all 👀
Hunt Wheels “If you’re going to go slow, at least look cool” LMAO
Tay-ose? Tah-ose.
😄TH-cam offered to translate your comment to English for me! (Spoiler: it's the same.)
where is the video of Vedangi Kulkarni's bike loadout that was promised on the main channel? has that just vanished into the aether?
What do you mean the helmet has a sacrificial part? Helmets are INHERENTLY sacrificial. I’m not aware of any manufacturer that DOESN’T instruct users to throw one away after an impact.
Not ORIENTATED!!! ORIENTED!!! English, you know!
👏👏👍👍
Only race bikes, what about the normal bikes?
I'm getting hung over vibes.. please confirm or deny.
7:38 - What climate do you guys live in that you don't need mouthpiece lids?
9:38 - it really looked scary when Cavendish's chain almost wrapped around once he stopped pedaling after his 35th TdF stage win finish.
Mark is riding with Shimano crank …
@@Nielsbikeservice Yes, I know.
why not just install chain holders?simular to front Derailleur?its physically unposible go get a chain drop with them…
@@glock888 chain drops on outside of the crank…
@@glock888 Have you seen Cavendish's finish (at Eurosport Cycling 9Wi1pSLNV8c?t=482) - I think it was pretty close.
Besides, the FSA cranks are 2x.
Sack your sound guy, or get him a decent pair of ears.
How are we going to drink from metal water bottles?
Same as from plastic bottles, how else?
@@einundsiebenziger5488 no.
Can't squeeze a double wall metal bottle and then have it return to the normal shape.
Bivo uses a special lid that allows for air to ingress into the bottle through sort of a "snorkel" vent while the water comes out of the mouth piece. I'd assume that CamelBak will have a similar system.
Apparently they have a specially designed cap which allows water to flow out easily when sipping (but not spill)
@@davidspagnolo4870 i think Camel Back had a bottle, around 15 years ago, that you also couldn't squeeze, and which had a lid system something like you described. I didn't like it at all.. and many other people also didn't like it. So i wonder if they've made a significant improvement. I think it is nearly impossible to beat the effectiveness of squeezing a bottle
Hookless gravel....f no😮
Roadbike specific for women ? 😅
Is this still on? Nothing exciting came out of Eurobike this year.
The most interesting new piece of equipment was probably the Schwalbe Clik valve.
@@Frostbiker Schwalbe make the best tyres imo.
How can a trade show last for 57 days
:/
Well, that was a waste of time!
