The generator would be great for quick recharge when you have multiple day outages. Solar is great but 2 more days off 1h recharge and no sun is awesome.
I just purchased the eco flow D2max. I have the EcoFlow River 2 for emergency power. I found I can Make coffee, run a light and iPad or laptop for a few hours but that's about it. Enough to get you through a small power outage for one person. The River 2 will run my router for ten hours but I found during power outages in my area we lose internet as well. I wanted the Delta pro 3 but my budget only allowed me to buy the Delta 2 max. I will buy add on batteries later when I can afford it. I have 200w panels so I am hopping to offset the electricity in my apartment as well as emergency back up.
Im in the same position. I got the river 2 for black friday. Its great for having a car charger socket, so I can use it with my pump and a mini fridge in a car. Next year I want to get a delta 2 max, its the more affordable option, whilst also being able to power the vast majority of things. You should get the rigid 400w ecoflow solar panels
Power a fridge and your internet during an outage. If you own a large property you can throw this unit on a wagon and you get power on the go, instead of running super long extension cords. Also you can use it on a camping trip.
We run delta pro’s and extra batteries for home backup. But I wanted something more portable so I picked up the delta 2 Max with an extra battery and the new 800w Ecoflow alternator charger on a killer Mother’s Day deal. Saved $1249.00 with that deal.

Even if you don’t live in a hurricane region, ANYTIME you lose power, you need this. Refrigerator & freezers stay cold about 2 hrs IF you leave them closed. I lost power (~30,000 citizens in all) 2x last month. It was high 80’s first time, low 90{s the 2nd. If didn’t have one of these at the time. Had to throw out ice cream and other foods were thawing in freezer enough I didn’t want to take a chance on consuming, I.e. poultry. No power..no air conditioning, my puppy was miserable & I wasn’t happy either. So no I own the Delta 2 Max, extra battery & 2 x 220 w bifacial solar panels. Now I power my freezer and internet all the time with this system. If no AC I have large fans to get us by til power comes back on. My refrigerator is about 20 feet away so I have a 12 gauge extension cord to run that as well. With 4,096 watts I can go quite awhile especially when I have 440 watts of solar charging during this time. Even if you don’t experience power outages, you can get “free power” and power many items in your house with the power of the sun. You don’t have to buy all at once. Start with the DM2 & 1 x 220W solar panel…add the extra battery & another panel down the road. Plus if you enjoy outdoor activities & still want some “toys” along, this is portable enough to take with. Good luck!
Call me crazy but I refuse to be bothered with 'apps' of any kind. I was informed that with this unit and my Not using the app - all i would lose is the Xboost feature; true? I was told that if any necessary essential firmware updates are mandatory - i can load them onto a thumb drive, plug that into the unit, hold down 2 buttons, which puts the Max in update-mode, and install. IDK what firmware is or why I would need them but as long as i can get them from the website, i'm good to go. Is all that true? All the buttons and switches and displayed info I actually need in order to use this thing are built into and accessable on the unit? Thanks
I have delta 2 with extra smart battery, it runs my top loading whirlpool washer for multiple loads but when I tried it with my whirlpool clothes dryer, it shut down "overload. The Delta 2 is rated for 1800w output and the Delta 2 Max is rated at 2400w. The max would definitely have a better chance of running it but without knowing how many watts your unit uses, it’s hard to say.

Apologies for my ignorance on all of this, but the manual provided with the batteries does not provide that or much info at all. I love this unit. But I think it does need. A bigger charge controller. With at least 100volts. Input and 35 amps. Of battery charge like the victron energy 100/35.
@JeremiahMcintosh thanks for answer. Knew some EcoFlow could pair, but wasn't sure. Buying an extra battery that costs about as much as same unit, makes you wonder about stepping up to another unit. Guess that's the point. 2 major hurricanes with max 2, and propane gen. Love this product. Thanks
Can you output 12v to a camper with this unit? I have an old battery that connects to wiring in my 4 wheel camper and want to use the EcoFlow to supply that power. Is that possible? Thanks
What do you mean safety devices? I ran the panel directly in, you just need to make sure your open circuit voltage of the panels is not higher than the limit of the ecoflow.
With the Lifepo4 battery you could essentially use it daily and it is rated to last 9-10 years to 80% efficiency . I would at least cycle it every few months.
Sorry for the late response I’ve just seen this comment. You would just need this unit and you could power most of your 120v devices directly from it. If you want to charge with solar you would need to buy solar panels also.
Do you have a 120v outlet in your Tesla? If so you would definitely be able to charge it up by lowering the charging rate to the max output of your outlet or you could always charge it with the 12v outlet.
