Already bought the Delta 2 Max (QVC deal $1249 WITH 220W Bifacial panel) Also QVC had special extra Delta 2 Max battery for $800. So $2050, no interest, 5 payments, for Delta 2 Max, EXTRA Max 2 battery + 200w bifacial solar panel. Sorry the delays are over. I’m Uber happy for what i received not only at this price, but all the features. Thanks to the solar gods!
Wow that's a good deal. I got just the delta 2 max for $999 on Amazon and when it arrived they sent me a discount code to get an extra battery for $800 but no solar pannel
Great video! I was trying to decide if I should get the older version and save some money, or go for the latest. The update in battery technology, dual charging inputs, and longer warranty sold me on the new version. As an aside, I think the 110 outlets on the back on the unit is a feature, not a bug, as it helps reduce cable clutter.
I think the Delta 2 Max is the best option for most people. What is really great is that you can connect two different solar arrays to it. One could be pointed more to the morning sun and the other array could be pointed to the afternoon sun. This works great if you are unable to keep the solar panels pointed at the sun. I also like that it is portable at 51 pounds instead of the heavier Delta Pro or other large generators.
The LFP, expandability and useful phone app made this a no-brainer choice for me. EcoFlow is on the run providing new and reliable technologies with great support. I'm selling my Jackery products and putting those resources into more EcoFlow solar panels.
Recently I had the opportunity to run the Delta 2 Max and Smart Extra Battery for a prolonged nighttime power outage. Temps were in the upper 30's. I have a gas furnace, so I only need to power the blower to heat the house. The blower spikes at about 700 watts but runs at around 300 watts. It might run about 30 minutes per hour. I also run a full size refrigerator and small chest freezer which cycle on and off as needed. Most lights in the house are LED or CFL. Under these conditions the Delta 2 Max was estimating about 11 hours of capacity. 10 hours might be more accurate if we were up and using the fridge or microwave. Previously I would power everything with a 3000 watt Honda. It would burn about 3 gallons per day. Now with the Ecoflow Dual Fuel Generator only charging the batteries twice per day I would likely burn the equivalent of about 2 gallons per day, but only running for about 4 hours instead of the Honda running all day. The batteries and dual fuel generator are also much easier to set up.
Excellence as usual Todd, very helpful in evaluating the new Delta, plus the lineup comparison was a great top off. Thank you for your excellent work, I owe you!
I just got the Delta Max 2000 for $1,100 on Prime day. It will be my UPS in the winter and go in my trailer in the summer. I also have a dual fuel 2,500 watt generator in my trailer. It looks like running the generator for one hour a day together with the EcoFlow, will keep me powered continuously. I pretty much always camp in the forest, so solar panels aren't really viable for me.
It has been a while since I visited your channel. First and foremost, holy cow on the production value! Great job! Secondly, I just got a Delta 2 Extra Smart Battery to go with the Delta 2 I got earlier this year. Holy cow, the difference between the Goal Zero and EcoFlow products is no longer close. After 7 years of getting GZ products, I have fully bought into the EcoFlow family. As always, keep up the great work!!
This will be a buy of mine because of all the features. Expandable, can use the eco air conditioner, can use old batteries, two lines in one for solar one for the vehicle, quiet, powerful, fast charging, app features. It’s definitely worth the price for what you get folks. Great video.
Lots of great info! I am team EcoFlow ... started last year with DeltaMax2000 and Wave, this year Wave2 (and battery), Glacier (and battery), River 2 Pro. My goal is a transportable power system for my 1 br/1bath rural NW MT house, my 20 year old motorhome and going to and fro for supplies in my Jeep Wrangler. I have not added solar yet based on my location (MT and wooded property). Thanks for this information!!
Thanks for a detailed comparison on all like units. I purchased a delta2 in October and now wish I would have waited a bit as the D2 max for more $ would be better suited for most needs. I do love the D2 but 2x the battery capacity and the dual dc input is outstanding.
There is a workaround when it comes to also charging while driving but it involves installing a pure Sine inverter in your car and using the AC from that
Great review. Thank you. I appreciate the detail section on the automation. I plan to use this battery to take advantage of the cheaper electric rates at night and run via battery during the day (covers most of my kitchen devices). Time of Use rates here in Georgia. I think this is a great use for these type of batteries in the home.
I think there needs to be three product lines: 1. small ultra-portable camp-fire powerstations. 2. stationary in RVs oder medium Sailboats 3. stationary household stations The Delta 2 max is to heavy for Nr1, to little Amps on the 12V DC output and to high standby loss for Nr2, to little PV-Input Voltage for Nr3. I
I would argue that the dual solar input is an feature, if you put all of your panels in series, a partial shade on one of the panels will draw down the whole array, if you have 2 separate panel arrays one will still deliver. Also, on a camper, you could have the roof mounted array on one plug and a portable array on the other plug and use both, with different orientation you get more hours of sun Sadly there are no youtube giveaways for me living in Sweden, and it is quite expensive here.
Thanks, I really appreciate that. I’m a fan of your channel and enjoyed your review the other day. It’s great that you had all 4 top units on hand to compare them.
@@todd.parker yeh, Ecoflow really stands out amongst the competition. i was hoping this unit came out before my annual comparison video, but the Anker 767 is a strong contender as well in the space. stay safe!
It seems, for your pacifica, a simple double throw switch would have been a simple solution. Simple turn or throw of the switch changes from alternator to solar panel, and retain the much higher input voltage (though of course the alternator isn't going to be over 60Vdc and it's unlikely you'll hae enough panels on hand, in series in the van.
A switch is probably better than unplugging/re-plugging but doesn't solve the issue that you'd want to charge from both the alternator and solar at the same time so the D2MAX is a nice upgrade there.
Todd great review! Thanks for covering this in detail. What's the best product you'd recommend for UPS like backup for a large freezer? Ie, something that will do AC passthrough when power is available, be able to support 2k+ watt surge, and not turn AC off when the battery runs out? Is it the Delta Pro? AC500 + B300S? EP900 + B500? Something else?
The fixed the loud fans, so that's good. But some other stuff is still annoying me long term. Outputs on the back are dumb, and the buttons to turn them on and off are not placed well and hard to feel without seeing them. Mppt and inverter are not very efficient, my Victron setup charges faster from solar and the inverter uses much less watts. Bluetooth. Hate only being able to connect with WiFi, this is supposed to be off-grid so Bluetooth makes more sense and is faster. The 12v output is not very powerful, wish we had like a 10Amp output.
I agree with most of this but the inverter is pretty darn good at 91% output and very low standby losses. You can use direct connect to use this in the road away from the internet, works great
Yeah, it's is $25 but you can buy other versions on Amazon for cheaper. Or buy one of their solar panels because it's included with each us.ecoflow.com/products/solar-charging-cable?variant=39880496382025
I understand using a PS to power a refrigerator during high cost grid time and charging with passthrough at low cost grid times. But what is the actual savings ? Assuming the equipment is amortized over 8 to 10 year, main unit, extra battery, solar panels, wiring and any other bits needed to connect and set up. I wonder if anyone has made a spreadsheet that could be used to balance the best equipment with a specific circumstance.
Need actually useful 12v options. Keep one cigarette plug but get rid of the other. Those plugs always fall out all the time anyway. Would gladly give up some of those AC plugs (if not all) since my overlanding rig uses exclusively 12v
Thank you very much. This is looking like a sweet spot for me in my camping setup as well. I am new to all this so I'm trying to absorb digestible information and you did a very good job at making me understand this unit very well and a couple of the competitors I had also been shopping don't seem to be optimal
Well done video. Nice unit but disappointed there is no 30 amp outlet. My home electrical panel has a 30 amp inlet transfer for the generator back feed. Is there a way to safely configure 30 amps output from the D2Max without a dedicated 30 amp outlet?
too me awhile to figure out which end is mc4 and which is xt60 since none of the generator companies make this clear enough. Would be as simple as labeling a pic and suggesting the 10 gauge wire for lengths over 25', which is apparently accurate. Would STILL like to know a company or link to a 50' cable xt60 to mc4 in 10 gauge. May have to buy tinned wire and solder crimp on desired couplings...
I'd recommend these MC4 cables: amzn.to/3qkHgkA This is the cable you need to adapt to Ecoflow: us.ecoflow.com/products/solar-charging-cable?variant=39880496382025
Just recently suffered through a call to EcoFlow, who has a phone support person that likely started this morning. Impossible to get an intelligent answer from someone who does not even comprehend the question. Then called Anker, phone relay system is at least friendly and suggests that they call back, though has not happened many hours later. Hoping that Anker has some customer service though the trend is that these companies do not...
Hi Todd, very informative review. I got interested in battery backup just last month because a solar rooftop vendor stopped by and really got my attention on the tech. My neighbor behind my house uses a generator when the power goes out (unfortunately too often in our neighborhood), and it’s annoyingly loud even over here! The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max seems like the best of consumer, but still not as powerful or convenient as the roof-mounted options - but DANG are the rooftops expensive! But it seems these consumer-level solutions also can’t handle running my AC/furnace… is that the right assessment of the current state? #sorryirambled
If you have 240 dual phase appliances like an AC unit or well pump, most power stations can’t power those. The Delta Pro and Bluetti AC300/500 can sync a pair of units to do that but it’s large and expensive. Waiting for a one box solution…
Hey Todd, thanks for the review, I have been contemplating the 2k power stations for over a month now, and now Ecoflow came in like a wrecking ball. I watched your original delta max video, and this video which has helped me greatly in making up my mind. One question though, when you combined both the grid and solar, what was the highest input into the battery, that you got?
I didn’t have time to test that yet but they claim “When combined AC and solar input is 2400W using 1800W AC input and a minimum of 600W solar input. In only 43 min get an 80% charge”
Excellent video. Cheers. Assuming the batterie is full during the day then and Solar energy covers all the house electicity needs. Also the Apps us set to solely redirect Solar energy to house and batterie. What happens to the extra Solar energy which is not used?
I use a real UPS downstream from my older ecoflow 1300(same 30ms switch time but i swear its cloer to 300ms), as the ecoflow doesnt switch fast enough for my router/switch, my file server on the other hand seems to handle it OK but it has an overkill PSU.
The workaround for the single xt60 input is simple, use a mppt and a DC-DC to charge a small 12/24 volt battery. If you buy a mppt that has a load port use that to connect your powerstation with single xt60 to. You can even programma the load port to protect the small 12/24 volt battery. As a bonus you can take your powerstation with you while still catching some solar into the 12/24 volt battery. This same idea can be used with home solar, just mppt you roof solar into the 12/24 volt battery and use that load port to, much slower transport the yield into the powerstation.
I been testing my delta pro max 2 with 220w bifacial panels for the last 2 weeks and they can barely keep up with a 160w output, the panels only produce 168w max (houston texas area) for 5 hrs, 100w for 2 hrs and below 50w for 4 hrs that's when we have a mostly sunny day
160w from a 220w panel is 72% of it's rated output which is a bit low, I'd expect closer to 80% of it's rating during peak hours - you never get close to it's rating in real world conditions. In general, I use 80% of rating x 5 hours of good sun a day to calculate the watt hours it can produce on a sunny day which would net out to 880wh so it would take a little more than 2 days to recharge a max with no loads attached. In short, you need a lot more solar if you want to run 160w for extended periods - that would be 3,840wh in a 24 hour period.
@todd.parker I bought this evoflow as a backup for any outage...I also have a gas generator, the problem I have with my old generator is maintenance, fuel consumption and to find gas right after storm is painful
ECOFLOW DELTA 2 Max 2400Wh suggest solar charge input 500 watts. My solar panels produce 60 VDC/10 amps to the breaker box. Can I safely input from the solar breaker box two XT60 cables into the two solar charge in-ports? Enjoyed your video, appreciate your help.
Assuming those are 110w, under ideal conditions you might get 200w total from both and you need to fill 1,800wh so around 9 hours or 2 days since you only get 4-5 good hours of sun. You’ll want more panels.
further study of highly desirable Anker Powerhouse// they have a great sale on now. Apparently the unit does not come with any solar panel imput cable. Apparently if one goes over 25', should use 10 gauge wire. What is not clear or explained it the solar imput port on the generator. I would like to see a pic of it. Do not believe its an xt60 type imput and cannot see if its a mc4 nor does the company have this info on their site. So far no call back from TEch support... Could easily make cable in 10 gauge if the generator imputs are mc4 type. Any help?
If your solar panels have MC4 connectors, it's best to get long MC4 cables that are 10ga then adapt to XT60 with Ecoflow's adapter or one you buy on Amazon
@@todd.parker thanks Todd, that is what I surmised after much effort and no company support. This cabling thing is way more complicated than it should be and its odd that the companies make no effort to make this easy...
Great review! I’m new to van life and let’s say I travel around Europe and the delta 2 max stops working. I’ve got my family with me, what do I do in terms of repairs/ replacement or back up power source whilst on the road? Thanks
I wonder if the xt connection is better. I purchased a Delta Pro for some friends (along with a pallet of solar panels and large spool of direct bury wire), and they have plugged in the solar, unplugged it once, and when they went to plug it in again.. the xt connector fell inside. It has been sent back and is to be replaced with new under warranty, but I've found other instances of this. One would think, for something designed to be "portable" and have solar plugged in and unplugged many times.. it would last more than a couple of connections.
@@TobyCostaRica I guess? The fact that Jackery just refreshed their line to make it "pro" and didn't include LFP, app control, UPS, expansion, etc. is a real head scratcher. I still hope Goal Zero has been working on a big refresh, we'll see. Ecoflow, Bluetti, Zendure, Green, etc. are going to eat their lunch unless they step it up.
I recently purchased from another company other than ecoflow the delta max 1600 and ecoflow had told me i purchased the delta max 1600 version 1 i have not recieved it yet but i mainly neeed it to run 2 refrigerators do you know if i can run 2 refigerators with what i purchased?Thankyou!
I’m new to this but so interested. As an RV’er I’m trying to figure out why I would not do this along with my normal batteries vs upgrading to expensive batteries like battleborn.
You can definitely use this instead of typical 12v lithium batteries + solar charger controller + inverter + etc. - the only thing is this doesn't offer high power DC outputs so if you have a fuse block that runs lots of DC appliances, it might not work for your needs. Otherwise, it's a much simpler solution.
This won’t last nearly as long. One part inside breaks then you lost your whole investment. Usb ports die. Tryna long term test with high loads and see how long this last there is a reason you get what you pay for
Great video! Would it be fine if I always left the Delta 2 plugged in to use the EPS feature for my PC or would this degrade the internals much faster than only turning it on when needed?
That's no problem. When you have this plugged into the wall and plug in a PC, it actually just bypasses the inverter and feeds the power directly from the grid to your computer. When the grid power goes it, it flips a switch inside to turn on the inverter and start using the battery within 30ms so the power station isn't really getting any wear and tear in this setup.
You would only get the output from the one solar feed, I use a XT60 splitter from 2 solar zones to the one solar connect on my Delta Pro, as long as all the panels have same open voltage and not exceed the 150 volts. Each 4 panel array of 100 watt panels produce a little over 200 watts each on average, yes, you need lots of panels to get anywhere, so connect two arrays to get over 400 watts.
Great Video. I was thinking of upgrading to the Delta 2 Max from a Goal Zero Yeti 1400 in my campervan. But on the Goal Zero I use the Anderson Power Pole DC out hooked to a fuse block. I believe its 20amps. I see no equivalent on the Ecoflow. I would plug my fridge to the cig plug but where on the Ecoflow would I power a fuse block?
You’re right, that’s a major disadvantage. The AC300Max offers high power DC output, or the Delta Pro. Check out my Veryeah review too - they have a 30A DC option
Yeah, that's the last one to get a redesign but it started so far ahead with LFP and lots of cool features I wonder what they'll add. I'd love to see 240v output in a single box.
@@todd.parker the Delta Pro is still really good, so i wouldn't be surprised if they skipped the whole delta 2 pro and instead went for something totally new, like "ecoflow mega pro" with an even bigger battery or something
Debating on getting something for whole home backup ! If I purchase this with the 2 batteries to make it 6kw would that be good for a small camper and a small apartment ?
I have just ordered the older Delta Max 2000 @ £745 with the older batteries. It's a pity that the 100W UBC outputs don't also act as inputs. Are ports on the Delta 2 Max both input and output?
Did you say that you would connect a Delta Max to a Delta 2 Max and essentially use the Delta Max as a supplemental battery? If this is correct would the Delta Max charge thru the Delta 2 Max - thus utilizing the 2 input sources simultaneously? Thanks
Do you think there would be any issues attaching two 550w solar panels to a Delta 2 max since solar does not normally perform at 100% and would still be under the 1000w max most of the time.
That's called "over paneling" and it's perfectly fine - it will just give you max power for more of the day which is great. All that matters is that you don't exceed the voltage limits on the solar inputs because it will damage it. Amperage can be well beyond the max and it will just take what it needs.
excellent review, have a question about xt60 to mc4 cable / is it possible to put a couple together to achieve a 50' length? Is there a current loss? could one make up current loss with increased charge times? No experience here so appealing to expertise thanks
Just a quick note that I did exactly this and measured volts and amps with my meter before/after adding the extension and found no difference using 10 guage BougeRV cables and connectors. Good luck...
@@richardmolnar3007 thanks Richard, oddly support for these companies is next to zilch, so real world experience really helps, will look into the BougeRV cables now
@@Mau105 Just my 2 cents here..I get your frustration. It took me a few days to figure out whose XT-60 cable to buy to use with my Anker unit (they do not sell one, and the one they supply is not optimal for me because I do not use their panels) because I could not get an answer from anyone regarding the polarity of the connector and I did not want to destroy my inverter! Anker told me which side is positive and which is negative. I really like what they have done with this Ecoflow unit. I still prefer my Anker 767 which was initially replaced because the wiring was reversed on the AC inputs; all is well now. Their CS was great but delayed by a day each time I emailed them. An engineer replied to my questions and most of what I got from them was over my head (I am NOT an electrician) but I understand why Anker uses the technology they do. I am not pushing either brand because I think they are BOTH great products. Todd does a great job reviewing these things.
@Todd , Hey ....Wanted to know if you know or think that the Gen 1 Delta Max would be compatible with the new Delta 2 extra add on batteries? In your test in this video i believe you tried the new Delta 2 max with old gen 1 battery add on's
@@todd.parker Thanks for that, Id imagine because the difference in battery chemistry that they would not exactly sync correctly longevity wise, But i would hope that it does indeed work, would be similar to using two gen 1 extra batteries on a gen 1 ecoflow delta max, and then having 1 of them be older and past the 800cycle mark. They technically should work despite the batteries being of different quality. Hoping thats how it works here too.
If one also owned the Ecoflow fossil fuel generator, is there a way via the app to time that to only come on during certain hours of the day? For example, if one were dry camping around other campers, I would not want the generator to be firing up in the middle of the night. Instead, maybe I should come on after 9 AM.
What are you using to charge from the alternator in your van builds. I have the ecoflow solar ready for 1 input but how do I get alternator charging into the delta pro 2 max
You mentionned 2 PV ports on Delta 2 max. If I have 2 Solar panel 400wx2 then should I set them in parallele or Connect then in serie to 1 PV? Thank you in advance.
I have 3 x 220p Serial array at PV1. Often reach 499w input. Summer Late noon. I have 1x 220w panel at PV2. Often 170w input. Both array under 500w spec limit. The cutoff. You have 2 x400w. I would put one at PV1. And one at PV2. Both will have no cutoff. You get full potential wattage.
On a SUPER Bright Full Sun day my 3 x 220w array can output 560w. D2M will input 500w. Because of the cutoff. However when day more cloudy, or Early morning or Late afternoon my 3x220w array produces more watts via OVER-Paneling.
I've read a lot about the 767 having reverse polarity issues and that Anker is still shipping units and just letting the buyer figure it out and go through the arduous process of return/exchange. I am leaning on this Delta 2 Max for my teardrop RV that has a very small window style air conditioner. Thinking my limited use of the %000btu 500w AC unit along with constant solar top-off should give me good stable power while off-grid, thoughts?
Huh, strange. Are you buying from Amazon or EF? Mind trying these links to see if that makes a difference? EcoFlow Website: bit.ly/3o9ToEy EcoFlow Amazon: amzn.to/3WbMj2J
I thought about that but since there's only one charge controller, a Y connector connects both the solar array and car charger in parallel and in that setup, the source with the lowest rated voltage determines the voltage output of the whole array. That means if I connect a car charger (12v, 8a = 92w) and a solar array (say 40v 6a = 240w), you'd end up with 12v at 14a when connected in parallel = 168w so you're better off just connecting the solar array. Two inputs are an awesome feature. www.alternative-energy-tutorials.com/solar-power/connecting-solar-panels-together.html#
@@TobyCostaRica That article I linked covered that scenario but it's basically the opposite: amperage is limited by lowest source, voltage sums. That's why they recommend only wiring solar panels that are matched in amps/volts
There's 2 expansion ports so you can only connect 2 of those at a time but you could recharge the Max with the generator via AC and have 2 batteries connected (that's what I do).
@@todd.parker I saw your video regarding ecoflow smart generator. At 9:00 of the video first port of delta 2 max/max is connected to a extra battery and you connect the smart generator to the 2nd port of the delta 2 max/max. Is it ok for that setup?
The 30ms switchover will probably be fixed in firmware. Anker has better usb ports and the wheels plus slightly quieter. But ecoflow has the better ecosystem, support, and expandability. Generator, rv fridge, constant new products.... seems like a no brainer. The lack of wheels is really the biggest concern.

The Delta 2 max is to heavy for Nr1, to little Amps on the 12V DC output and to high standby loss for Nr2, to little PV-Input Voltage for Nr3.
I
I agree. They really should have included a high power DC output
There are panel splitters that go into one xt60 connector, so that you can use two panels.
I can bet by Black Friday and this Christmas a Delta two pro would be offered.
Could be. I’m not sure what they would do to top the pro other than adding 240v output but we’ll see!
I would argue that the dual solar input is an feature, if you put all of your panels in series, a partial shade on one of the panels will draw down the whole array, if you have 2 separate panel arrays one will still deliver.
Also, on a camper, you could have the roof mounted array on one plug and a portable array on the other plug and use both, with different orientation you get more hours of sun
Sadly there are no youtube giveaways for me living in Sweden, and it is quite expensive here.
Yep, I agree. It’s a great feature
Excellent review
Thanks, I really appreciate that. I’m a fan of your channel and enjoyed your review the other day. It’s great that you had all 4 top units on hand to compare them.
@@todd.parker yeh, Ecoflow really stands out amongst the competition. i was hoping this unit came out before my annual comparison video, but the Anker 767 is a strong contender as well in the space. stay safe!
Great overview, thanks.
The biggest downside from the Anker is the clicking noise when charging via Solar Panel
Seems they adjusted that with a firmware update. My Delta was doing that too at dusk/dawn and now they don't
They already addressed that issue with a firmware update.
@@todd.parker my delta pro 2 max is not doing it
It seems, for your pacifica, a simple double throw switch would have been a simple solution.
Thanks for the demo and info, very informative. Have a great day
A simple mention of the nonlinear nature of db b is a lost opportunity, thx for the otherwise stellar production.
You can use direct connect to use this in the road away from the internet, works great
It appears that the app connects via Bluetooth.
I wish the new Delta Max 2 came with the XT-60 cables. They are an extra charge.
Yeah, it's is $25 but you can buy other versions on Amazon for cheaper. Or buy one of their solar panels because it's included with each

great review im in Oz & looking @ getting the ecoflow it sounds the best
Excellent reviews!👍
Yeah, I’m surprised at how few models offer 30A DC outputs, seems clutch for campervans and over landing
D2M fits under the rear shelf in VW California ocean 6.1 which what I purchased mine for.
Thank you very much. This is looking like a sweet spot for me in my camping setup as well. I am new to all this so I'm trying to absorb digestible information and you did a very good job at making me understand this unit very well and a couple of the competitors I had also been shopping don't seem to be optimal
It's a really great unit, I think you'll like it
Well done video. Nice unit but disappointed there is no 30 amp outlet. My home electrical panel has a 30 amp inlet transfer for the generator back feed. Is there a way to safely configure 30 amps output from the D2Max without a dedicated 30 amp outlet?
You can buy a 30a to standard 20a plug adapter, it will just be limited to 20a but will connect just fine
too me awhile to figure out which end is mc4 and which is xt60 since none of the generator companies make this clear enough.
I'd recommend these MC4 cables:

Just recently suffered through a call to EcoFlow, who has a phone support person that likely started this morning. Impossible to get an intelligent answer from someone who does not even comprehend the question. Then called Anker, phone relay system is at least friendly and suggests that they call back, though has not happened many hours later. Hoping that Anker has some customer service though the trend is that these companies do not...
Even if you get someone from ecoflo who is knowledgeable, it's next to impossible to understand them because of extremely heavy accents
Thanks for the well-structured and informative review
Glad it was helpful!
i find it insane that those expansion cables are NOT right angle cables.
Seriously. Seems they are fixing it with the gen 3 units but still...
Latest app update says the UPS is now upgraded from 30 ms to 20 ms.
Just saw that. Very cool.
never used those portable power sation, but this video review is good!
Do you have a video showing how you setup you transfer panel with the delta 2 max or another power station that's has similar capacity?
Sure, I have videos on the home integration kit from goal zero that is a 120v transfer panel and that works with any brand
Excellent video. Cheers.
Assuming the batterie is full during the day then and Solar energy covers all the house electicity needs. Also the Apps us set to solely redirect Solar energy to house and batterie.
What happens to the extra Solar energy which is not used?
Great video . Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Cool idea but definitely not simple or inexpensive
QUESTION: Does the EcoFlow Delta and EcoFlow Delta 2 Max have "Overload" Protection ???? Thanks!
Yes
Any idea of how long it would take to fully charge with the 2 free solar panels, from around 10%?
Assuming those are 110w, under ideal conditions you might get 200w total from both and you need to fill 1,800wh so around 9 hours or 2 days since you only get 4-5 good hours of sun. You’ll want more panels.
@@todd.parker Thanks Todd

further study of highly desirable Anker Powerhouse// they have a great sale on now.
Thanks
Great video!! I wonder if the DELTA 2 Max could be paired with the Ecoflow Delta 2 to create a larger system?
They can’t really be combined but you can use one to charge the other
I wonder if the xt connection is better.
Yikes. I haven't had any loose XT connectors (or any type really) on my EcoFlow units. You must have gotten a lemon.
This is something that I have read more than a few times. I guess be careful when pushing in on these connections. Thanks for the info.
Jackery is really turning into the new Goal Zero. Arguably one of the first mainstream brand after Goal Zero….then just stopped innovating
Yeah, its bizarre how far behind both are when they started with such a head start
@@todd.parker cheaper to send products out to van life/overland crowd vs hiring engineers I guess
Very well done review!

yes it will work no problem.
Yes. You can do the math to understand how long they will run. 120 watts equals about 14 hours.
Great piece good comparison Regards Mike
Tryna long term test with high loads and see how long this last there is a reason you get what you pay for
Delta pro has proprietary charging system and you can charge faster than any other means
Wondering if using an XT60 Y Splitter to feed both DC inputs from one 800W solar feed would work. 🤔
I don’t think that would work, sorry
For a home backup which Ecoflow product would you recommend?
For whole home backup, you can't beat the EcoFlow Pro Ultra.
Tech support told me the smart generator cannot connect with the D2Max when it has two extra batteries installed…
Huh, interesting. I haven't tried that
About noise: I'm trying to figure out what unit in the 2kWh range is quietest when USING, not charging. Any info?
Looking forward the 2nd Gen Delta Pro 👍🏼

Output only
My Bluetooth is not working, can you help?
Did you say that you would connect a Delta Max to a Delta 2 Max and essentially use the Delta Max as a supplemental battery? If this is correct would the Delta Max charge thru the Delta 2 Max - thus utilizing the 2 input sources simultaneously? Thanks
No, I said you can use the original Delta Max expansion battery with the newer version of the Max
@@todd.parker thanks
Do you think there would be any issues attaching two 550w solar panels to a Delta 2 max since solar does not normally perform at 100% and would still be under the 1000w max most of the time.
That's called "over paneling" and it's perfectly fine - it will just give you max power for more of the day which is great. All that matters is that you don't exceed the voltage limits on the solar inputs because it will damage it. Amperage can be well beyond the max and it will just take what it needs.
Thanks

They aren’t technically supported according to EcoFlow but would probably still work
@@todd.parker Thanks for that, Id imagine because the difference in battery chemistry that they would not exactly sync correctly longevity wise, But i would hope that it does indeed work, would be similar to using two gen 1 extra batteries on a gen 1 ecoflow delta max, and then having 1 of them be older and past the 800cycle mark.
I just checked and don't see a setting for that but maybe they will add it in the future. It's a good idea.
What are you using to charge from the alternator in your van builds. I have the ecoflow solar ready for 1 input but how do I get alternator charging into the delta pro 2 max
I’m just using the basic 12v cigarette outlet
Did I miss something or was the propane option left out?
Do you mean the smart generator?
This is only 10lbs heavier than the 1kw Yeti im replacing.
Hi, can you recommend wich option is best
Ecoflow delta pro vs Ecoflow delta 2 max with 2 max battery?
Depends on your use case. You d need more info to give a recommendation
@todd.parker I want to use it for my 500w heater in my semitruck
I've read a lot about the 767 having reverse polarity issues and that Anker is still shipping units and just letting the buyer figure it out and go through the arduous process of return/exchange. I am leaning on this Delta 2 Max for my teardrop RV that has a very small window style air conditioner. Thinking my limited use of the %000btu 500w AC unit along with constant solar top-off should give me good stable power while off-grid, thoughts?
How much solar do you have?
My 767 has the reverse polarity issue. Been a pain in the ass getting it swapped.

Just heard from Ecoflow that the 8% code should now be working
4:55 wonder if that can be solved with a y adapter that takes in both DC inputs on the 1st Gen
@@todd.parker Is that true with a Y in series too? I figured it would add the voltage and the charge controller just pulls what’s available
@@TobyCostaRica That article I linked covered that scenario but it's basically the opposite: amperage is limited by lowest source, voltage sums. That's why they recommend only wiring solar panels that are matched in amps/volts
