- For the first time in Kerala, a transsexual couple in the State tied the knot with the blessings of their families. The marriage was performed under the Special Marriages Act. Ishaan K Shan and Surya, both are residents of Thiruvananthapuram, thus 'officially' became the first trangender couple in the state.
Surya is a TV-stage artiste and a state committee member of transgender welfare board while Ishaan is a businessperson.
Ishan announced his wedding to well-known trans activist and TV anchor Surya in April.
The grand function saw at least 500 people in attendance including many from the LGBTQI community, and friends from different walks of life. - บันเทิง
