because Macau GP.. where lots of chinese/taiwanese Lance Stroll aka rich privateers participated in race with equal machinery with real WEC professional drivers
There's 3 different categories with practice, qualifying and 2 races each. And the track isn't an easy one, and the (occasional) wet weather this year didn't help it either
Why does this hugely misinformed comment have so many upvotes?! That's a not 'A' race, but a compilation of many races/practice sessions and qualifying runs from various categories!
@@chris-hayes No, it can't refer to a whole event. If they were connected somehow, you could have said that. Like Race of Champions that consists of smaller duels. This is not the case here.
They should really remove the barrier that deflects cars across the track. It is literally much more dangerous than letting them hit the raw Armco barriers instead. There is absolutely no reason that extra barrier should be there.
it's really for the motorcycle riders, and for sure needed for them. so they just keep them attached for the other races because they can't be removed quickly easily.
Strange. Touring car races were with very few incidents and also Gt World Cup was good. SAR Roadsports was almost incident free despite the soaked track. I think that Formula Regional drivers do not have enough experience for Macau track 😢
ALL street circuits should be banned. It's ridiculous to have a car spin then have the barriers keep the car in the traffic lane for other cars to collect the instigator. LeMans is a public road. There was a race in Sicily called the Targa Florio that's also public road. Races on public roads are fine as long as the road is well kept & repaired to allow race speeds. Isle of Mann TT for motorcycles is also public road. If I was a car owner, I'd skip the street races.
with this many crashes over the weekend, the fact that almost none of the many many crashes is a testament to how terrible tv direction was for the entire week. one only saw the crashes on replay.
A few years ago Macau Circuit was impossible with full wet and lots of pile-ups and crashes were mandatory. This year luckily went a lot better. Better drivers, Better tarmac, Better race direction. While practice had lots of crashes, races were a bit calmer.
Ok, the track is dangerous and narrow, everybody knows that Monte Carlo is also dangerous and narrow, but some of these pretenseous racing drivers, are dangerous for themselves and for the others, my God, do they had licence to drive? do they had all the skills to drive a normal car? Who put some of these guys on a racing car´s steering wheel? For God Sake, some of these people are dangerous simply walking on a park.
why do the cars not try and drive out of the way once they have crashed, surely they can see in the mirrors and the cars are not that destroyed that the engine cannot work anymore, the guy at 1122 for example could have moved over instead of blocking the whole race
do u even know how big is macau city ? able to manage a circuit is already a miracle... and as matter as fact a lot drivers favorite and also good for their f1 preparation
What is the point of this circuit? Aside from tradition? 15 laps with about half of them under caution on a track with no overtaking? Am I missing something here?!?!
Better this than abstract lines drawn on some tarmac in the middle east as newer tracks tend to be.... The main problem this weekend was the weather which could've happened anywhere
Drivers should stop to race on tracks like this ! They fighted for safety for so many years and now they use these unsafe tracks . They should boycott it.
Because it's one of the biggest races in the world! Lots of feeder series drivers DREAM to race here, some even go down from F2 to F3 machinery just to race here, it happened in the past. I'm still wondering what's the point of doing races in this type off narrow tracks other than corruption and such things. Most of the time the position won't change from start to finish just because at least half of the track is just 2 lane wide and driving in the middle will block anything, intentional or not. Not to mention 1 crash can result in an instant red flag, at worst becoming chain crashes.

I saw the run time of 17 minutes and thought it was a compilation of crash up until 2024. Didn't realise it's ALL from 2024.
2024 was quite uneventful... compared with average...
The Guinness World Records should give Macau SAR the most red flags shown in a race weekend reward...😂
A race having a 17 minute crash compilation is wild.

That hit was brutal to the lambo
No. Don’t change the track. Do t change for anything. The track is the track.
Its for riders
They should put op SAFER walls, instead of tyres.
This year’s grand prix in Macau makes Lance Stroll to look good in the last Sao Paulo race.

None of them beached themselves in any gravel pits tho...
People saying this track should be banned, it's no different to any other street circuit 🤷 I think it's one of the better looking street tracks tbh

I don't know about 'no different'
The end of the Fuoco vs. Marciello battle was hilarious, wish it was included, though perhaps not a "crash."
watched it live on YT, literally LOL when that happened
It’s like a very long pit entry that race circuit. Lol😂
Pace Car was real winner of this race day

Guia Circuit sure is treacherous in the wet. Also, what championship(s) did the GT cars come from?

the #16:45 one was so naive. Though he fights for podium
Macau...A circuit that gives and gives 😄😆
Around 30 cars in a race like 10:00 is too much~ It surely exceeds the capacity of the circuit especially Macau~
That surface looks greasier than the paper bag my Five Guys comes in
Are these basketball announcers or motorsport announcers?
Well, considering the winner of the FR race, Ugo, is like 6' 6", they might as well be.
those Formula Regional drivers just like the noob in video games
Sohpia Floersch corner is still a favorite to crash......
you forgot Marciello and Fuoco crashing in the final race for GT3
been to macau i dont know how they are even able to drive there let alone race cars
Very expensive weekend
Macau is not who is the best driver, it’s about who is the luckiest driver.

Absolute shit show this year.
What a Fred Flintstone venue. I've seen Kart tracks wider. China/FIA......is this the best you can do? What a Fuster Cluck!
I'm shocked that they still racing here after the GT pile up in 2017.
do u even know how big is macau city ? able to manage a circuit is already a miracle... and as matter as fact a lot drivers favorite and also good for their f1 preparation
The course is too narrow for modern race cars and the race itself has no meaning. Although useful for exhibition use, it is not a place for racing.
You can say the same about many street circuits. The racing at this point is for racing's sake. And if you're okay with that, why not?
I was there a disaster went for 2 days cost a fortune
