About 45 years ago, I worked at a rental yard, that 2 or 3 generators, powered by Lister engines. The original owner bought them, to run, at the Boulder Dam, on the Colorado river, between Arizona and Nevada. (I think the dam has been renamed since.) They were hand-crank start, and had a compression release for each cylinder. One was 2 cylinder, an other was 3 cylinder. All were water cooled. That was in the '70's. There are lots of firms in India (several in Rajkot and several in Kolhapur alone) that currently make engines of a design derived from a 1930-ish Lister, but usually diesel rather than petrol/gasoline. As several posts above mention they are usually used to drive pumps for raising water from wells. They are rated at 1000rpm, but very often run nearer 600rpm and you can count the beats against your watch.

That's the coolest DieselPank motor bike ever built. Cool done, Sir!
It was diesel?
@@lesreed9269 I think it was made in DieselPunk style not meaning it has diesel engine or gasoline, just style.
@@serzhdyubro8083 I think maybe I need to find out what dieselpunk is, then...
@@lesreed9269 Oh, you will be really surprised by what the cool things people build in that style. You can look here on Youtybe :-)

Thats lister engine , lister ,lister ,lister the engines we used in our farms to to pump the water from tube wells
This bike is fabulous well done 😎👍🏁
About 45 years ago, I worked at a rental yard, that 2
or 3 generators, powered by Lister engines. The
original owner bought them, to run, at the Boulder
Dam, on the Colorado river, between Arizona and
Nevada. (I think the dam has been renamed since.)
They were hand-crank start, and had a compression
release for each cylinder. One was 2 cylinder, an
other was 3 cylinder. All were water cooled.
That was in the '70's. Wish I could find one like
them.

You can't get more steampunk than that.
Lister - No longer stationary.
I was wondering if it's steampunk... don't think it's shiny enough. What about grungegoth?
Not really steampunk is it, with a diesel? Costume is steampunk though.
Not diesel, petrol, see the magneto. Petrol = gasoline, if you live in USA.

@@LucasSousaS205. Eu até pensei que fosse a Diesel... realmente pode ser a vapor, mas uma coisa é certa, a moto é linda demais.

Wow, it's a nice motor. Really I like this type of old motor. in this time it's can't buy. I want a motor like this.thanks for you to make this type of video for the next generation.
@@cedriclynch how did you knows about India this much bro?
