  • I don't know alot of music from MUSE and this will be my first time hearing Reapers from Muse, so I guess no better time than now right? So, let's dive in and checkout a Live performance of MUSE doing Reapers!
    Muse are an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The band consists of Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard. Muse released their debut album, Showbiz, in 1999, showcasing Bellamy's falsetto and a melancholic alternative rock style.

    Muse is simply amazing, and like so many other bands I love are impossible to put into one genre or box. Making falsetto great again since 1994! They were signed to Madonna's label in the late 90s and I've been lucky to see them live twice. Both being 2 of the best live shows I've seen. ABSOLUTION in my opinion is their greatest album, but I also really jam out to origin of symmetry and black holes and revelations. I put MUSE in the holy trinity of POWER trios with Rush and Nirvana! Happy Easter Shane and everyone! Be safe and have lots of ham, eggs and martinis for me. \m/

    Three piece. That are so talented. Matt Bellamy is the lead vocalist, guitarist, pianist. Chris is the bassist and back up vocalist. Dom is the (left handed) drummer. They are easily the best live act within the last 20 years by far. Enjoy. They have endless bangers

    Muse is the best band live, no questions asked. I love their live better than studio, especially supremacy live at Rome Olympic Stadium, you would have to watch the full concert thing to react to it live at rome. though it is the first song so dont worry about that, all their rome is simply amazing

    You can't really put muse into one genre. They have a bit of everything in their discography to symphonic pieces in exogenesis symphony to some heavy rock in Stockholm syndrome and assassin

    Great reaction, I love Reapers! My fave album is Origin of Symmetry, amazing album -- if you wanna react to some other great live performances, I'd suggest New Born live at Wembley 2007 and Stockholm Syndrome live at Glastonbury 2004. New Born's my favorite song of all time!

    You'll be surprised with their entire discography. Muse isn't what you expect them to be. Even though they're mainly a rock group, they cross other genres too. They can transition from heavy metal to dubstep to disco. And what I find most interesting is that most non-Muse listeners often says they've only heard Uprising. No worries, you will find out more on your Muse journey. My fav album is Origin of Symmetry. And if you want to react to more Muse, only do live. Their studio version is still good, but their live performances are even better!

Yours stands out because you have lots of charisma, no disruptions to the music and I feel like I can tune into your face 😆. It's such a crowded field now with reaction videos, and yours was quite refreshingly different.

    Check out Muse's Wembley live video of Stockholm Syndrome, it's pretty rad. Some other good suggestions in the comments too. Muse is an odd beast, incredible trio that have been award-winning for live performance for decades, and some sick tracks, but they're sort of addicted to messing around in new genres. I get it, and it's part of being real musicians that they like to dabble in everything now, but when you see them live it's obvious what they are - wicked talented rockers, who have been playing together for their whole lives since they were teenagers in the 90's. Honestly, it's quite a disservice to them that they're only big hits in the west/in the US are songs like Uprising, Starlight, etc, which are undeniably some of their simplest and most basic tunes in their entire discography and leaves a lot of Americans with an inaccurate idea of what they do. Whenever I see another old rock-head witness their live stuff and older discography for the first time, it's always the same story - "why didn't I know these guys were that good? They're like the heirs of Rush!" Just don't get too thrown off by their more mainstream attempts in recent albums, they've got many sides and just because they experiment with some less-hardcore genres doesn't mean that they aren't still killing it and rocking out on every tour and still at their peak of their game as musicians even as they're getting older. Cheers and hope you get to enjoy more of their best stuff!

    Muse are a three piece, however they will have a pianist join them live from time to time since matt Bellamy (the lead) can't play both the guitar and piano at the same time.

    I prefer the older albums to the newer ones and largely lost interest after the resistance album but do like and listen to this song quite often, I'd rather listen to studio versions but are excellent live. Butterflies and hurricanes maybe my all time favorite if I had to chose one.

    I believe that pedal was actually an octaver, others please correct me if I'm wrong. Dimebag Darrell used to use something similar on later Pantera albums. Made his pinch harmonics wail to unreal heights.

    • @Stewez26
      @Stewez26 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a whammy pedal which is primarily a pitch shifter. I think octave pedals are usually used to have the note and an octave note played at the same time when the Whammy just changes the pitch up or down an octave depending on your settings.
