I can fully understand why you were crystal hunting in the evening with daytime temperatures that high, I used to dig in my vegetable garden at night with the house lights shining on the garden, my neighbours thought I was crazy lol. Those clusters are gorgeous, they look like balls of icicles. The size of some of the clusters must make them hard to get out of the rock or clay, you have to have a lot of strength in your arms and hands. All of nature - including the animals, the vegetables, and the minerals are magic!! Just think of all of the times when you saw a wild animal, or even the smallest of quartz crystals.
