    Dude all the yellow symbol means is that they are someone your scouts discovered. It doesn’t mean anything about whether the scouts think they’re good or not.

      Right. It shows what the symbols mean in the Help section.

      Still a good intro video for new people. It’s a small mistake in a great video

    For discovery, I assume what skill you tell them to look for can correlate to certain ratings. For example, I assume that pitcher movement correlates to K/9? Can you tell me if there's something I should always look for, if I want to focus on pitchers with low WHIP (Command?) and hitters with good Vision/Discipline (Contact?). Or, is it not that simple?

    My past couple of drafts have gone alot better since I've watched this video. I'm very pleased! Appreciate the video!

    The 20-80 rating is called a "Tool Grade" and comes directly from what real MLB scouts use as a scouting scale. Regarding like-grade players, such as Castillo & Julio, you gotta understand their strengths. The CP is bound to have tremendous K/9, clutch, velo, and break. The SP would likely have a more even spread across all skills with generally higher stamina, control, etc.

    Thanks for the video ! I was a little lost on how the numbers worked while I was scouting. Makes sense now, haha.

    Video idea: can you do one on how to you decide your lineup and rotation. Like what you look for to set them

    One thing not mentioned is to try and scout in your scout's region if possible.

    At the 11min mark you placed your scouts in the wrong areas…. You had your international scout looking at pitchers in the west and you had you western scout scouting pitchers internationally …. That is very important to keep them in their regions first. If you’ve exhausted everyone in their own region where they will be more accurate, THEN you can send them to other regions.

    Jacob would you make a brief video on service time and how to utilize it? I want to manipulate it like the pros.

    Just in time again. Getting ready to start up my relo franchise and rebuilds. Your videos really help since I haven't had a baseball game since 2k13 on xbox LOL. Appreciate the work you do bro.

    What exactly does the organizational depth chart show? I have a number of positions that show red during the draft, which means it’s thin, but my organization has a full roster at that position. What does thin mean?

    Love the videos from both the show and madden.

    Why do my scouts change what they’re doing every day, switching to discovery instead of scouting even though they suck at discovery.

  • @joelc682
    @joelc682 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    i know this is a very late comment but how long does it take for a scout to finish their assignment? like will something pop up saying they need a new assignment because their current one has been completed or do you just have to manually check each scout and their progress every single day until the draft

    • @JacobReid
      @JacobReid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For individual players, they’ll scout them for one day. For discovery assignments, they’ll go for an amount of time that I don’t know. I check it regularly to verify they’re doing the right things

    Question tho, how do you feel about overloading an area like 3/4 scouts from the same region. Just take everything from there?

    • @RickyNinja
      @RickyNinja 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @SonOf McGringus yea I’m about to do a relocation one with a team of like 40/50 overalls and I think I’m gonna try this as part of the challenge. I’ll make sure I post some stuff about it

    • @RickyNinja
      @RickyNinja 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SonOf McGringus this is my first year jumping into it too

    • @RickyNinja
      @RickyNinja 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SonOf McGringus I tried it last night. I found every prospect they could find in the first 2 weeks and had a lot more people scouted fully than normal. Did 2-3 days per player. I used East but I assume it would work for any of them. Had a very good draft both by overall and by potentials

    • @RickyNinja
      @RickyNinja 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SonOf McGringus I’ve had a mixed bag. I keep starting new franchises and experimenting lol maybe I should be recording it 😂😂

    • @RickyNinja
      @RickyNinja 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SonOf McGringus I been doing a madden one for a bit. Think I’ll do one of these too then

    Can you do a video on evaluating performance during the off-season? I tend to dump my D potential prospects and 25+ low minors, but since the team doesn’t always do well, I’m not sure that.’s the way to go.
