It's funny that when Myers was a Patriot everyone said he would be WR3 on every other team in the NFL.

I definitely wasn't. He's a good receiver and player but not a game breaker. Still better than what we have now though. Bill made a huge mistake swapping him with juju
Myers is really a Wr3 ... maybe Wr2 at best. He is like Juju .... Juju Looked very good when he played with the steelers. What everyone missed was that Antonio Browns was the reason why he looked good. Antonio brown drew lot of double coverage and that helped Juju.
that being said ... Myers is better than any WR pats have today
@@jordanwise73 Bill didn't swap, Josh stole him. Bill signed Juju after. It's not like it was a trade or something...plus Jacobi was probably gonna leave to play with a real qb either way so what are ya gonna do a guess
@@AJ........ so offering him less than market value for his production is letting him be stolen? If you said that the day he signed I'd say OK but pretty sure he said he wanted to stay with the patriots but bill was basically offering half of what he deserved.

Phil is my favorite of the NBC Boston Sports coverage. His draft coverage is among the best too.
He is terrible and total homer. everything he predicted about the patriots the last few years has gone wrong.
Tom is finally in the acceptance stage of grieving.
The real question should be: does Mac have enough mental fortitude, to fix Mac Jones?
I hate to say it, but no. After three years he's not been able to train himself out of visual and kinematic errors, and while he may want to improve, he doesn't have "it" to do so.
I think Mac definitely does not have it. When the going gets tough Mac crumbles every time. He’s a back up journeyman QB.

Marcus had a rating over 90 4 of his first 5 years. He’s been a backup for 3 of the last 4 years which is exactly what Mac will turn out to be.

Just wanted to say this is an incredibly well put together program with two great reporters who are so deeply in tune with whats going on with the team. Being able to also get such a knowledgeable and articulated guest like Florio and this is an A+ show

I started being a fan of the patriots in 2019. Since then the only offensive player that would start on any of the top 10 teams is David Andrews. Mac isn't the answer but neither is anyone on the offense. Time for a change at GM.
Im becoming less of a patriots fan because of the other "fans" that get their information from the box score. Ive said it before but if you think were a quarterback away from being good you are delusional.

David Andrew's is the only really good O lineman, and he is getting old. There is so much to fix with the Patriots. Most likely it is going get worse before it gets better.

The O-Line has to get healthy before anything starts working right. Most problems are because the O-Line has been decimated by injury & they have started a different O-Line every game.
Jones is 8-16 since the Bills wind game. It's not the OL.

As Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks often talk about this with QB's, you have your "trucks" and you have your "trailers". Trucks are the QB's that can pull their team out of situations, the ones that make the team go and can carry the team. Trailers are the QB's that the TEAM has to help pull them out of situations, the TEAM helps make the QB go and the TEAM has to carry the QB most of the time.
After everything that's transpired, TB12 is a truck and Mac Jones is a trailer. Nothing wrong with that but Coach Belichick hasn't built this team around Mac to win. The TE's are good but it's hard to throw to those guys when you're laying on your back looking up at the lights.😂
However, Mac's also got plenty of turnovers he probably wants to have back (I.E. Mac has the same amount of "Pick Sixes", in his tenure, that Tom Brady has in his WHOLE CAREER, at Gillette Stadium).
It’s not our job to fix Mac Jones, it was his job to not be so mentally weak.

I think this team goes 5 and 12 and we go straight into a rebuild after this season. This team is not completing with Miami or Buffalo, and we are 50/50 with the jets. We are 50/50 with bad teams. We either draft a new QB or we draft a sh*t load of weapons and build around Mac.
I think that Belichick's only choice will be to accept a regular coaching job with no GM privileges in a team like the Cowboys, the Chargers, or the Jets, where the owner would be willing to fire the current head coach with a roster that seems good enough to compete for a championship in a one or two-year window.
He'll never do it... Nor should he. Can you really say he's still a good coach? This team has been dysfunctional for 3+ seasons. Bad special teams, stupid defensive penalties, weak offense... Does that sound like the product of good coaching?

BB has Mac operating from Under Center the majority of the snaps. So Mac has his back to the defense for 1.5 seconds while running backwards to the pocket. LOL And the pocket is crushed by 2 seconds. STUPID!

Patriots colapse began when Bill did not support bradys last 4 or 5 years here. With a couple of players here and there brady could have won 1 or 2 S Bowls. Patriots did Tom Brady a favor. He was winning nothing here. Anyone remember 2019? 2020, the roster only improved fractionally adding Demiere Byrde. Plus the Pats had like $24 million in dead money.
12 personnel for 60% of snaps... get the running game going! There is no reason they shouldn't be able to run the ball this year... there was almost no change from last year. Not saying this is a path to the playoffs!! Just will allow us to stay in games and no get embarrassed. Also, not sure why the line is getting hammered for their pass protection. What is everyone looking at... they gave up 10 sacks... this BY NO MEANS amongst the worst in the league.

I think it's Bill purposely playing Mac because Kraft likes him. Bill is using Mac Jones as an excuse when the season is over to sell Kraft on giving him more time.

Stevenson did well as the 3rd down back last year catching 69 balls and was explosive out in space. why is he rarely used that way this year? the offensive line cant run block so that's the best way to get him in space. he is there best offensive player and i don't think he just forgot how to play football this year. Zeke should be used in pass pro only. he was the least efficient RB in football last year and still is I'm sorry. another horrible personnel decision in my opinion.

@@RobertJohnson-hc6tn i agree he was overused but he was used in a better way imo. instead of mack taking those sacks he was checking down. last year Stevenson was like a 80% snap guy, and last week he was down to 50%. thats too low for your best player. they have to get him going or its gonna be ugly all year.
Not an excuse for Mac’s bad play, but there is NO QB that would do well on this team as it is right now. Aaron sat for a year or two before starting, he would have been obliterated by this Oline. Mahommes, was destroyed in the Super Bowl behind a better Oline than the NEP has right now. Brady never had anything like this, even in 2019.
