Our Southeast Asian explorations continue back on the Malay peninsula and nearly equidistant from our previous visits to Phuket, Thailand and Singapore. But this week we’re in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, known as a mecca for soaring skyscrapers, big-budget Hollywood films, and one of the most colorful cultures we’ve encountered in the past 3 years. No place captures the flavor of that culture more than the streets of the city, so we’re braving the humidity, dodging the afternoon showers, and heading out in search of the top sites and bites. Let’s get to it.

Ok so things you got wrong are:😂
    1) Kissing among foreigners are not an issue. Even not an issue among non-Muslim Malaysians. Only applicable for Muslims.
    2) You can wear yellow anytime. I have no idea where you got the idea that you cant wear yellow 😂. Lots of Malaysians and foreigners wear yellow.
    3) Kuala Lumpur has been a 'green city' way before Singapore. Kuala Lumpur is also the only city in the world with a protected virgin rainforest right in the middle of the city. Check out KL Eco Park near the KL Towers.
    4) Malaysia is the second most visited country among foreigners in Southeast Asia after Thailand since the 1990s. So we dont really bother the foreigners with our rules. Even in the hardline conservative states in the north-east of the country, we have island resorts where foreigners swim in any clothing they want. Peace ✌️😊

Anyway here's the list if the most visited cities in the world. Note: total visitors for Malaysia was 26 million including landings in Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and other International airports in Malaysia.
      1) Bangkok 22 million visitors,
      2) Paris 19 million,
      3) London (also 19 million),
      4) Dubai 15.9 million,
      5) Singapore 14.7 million,
      6) Kuala Lumpur 13.8 million,
      7) New York 13.6 million,
      8) Istanbul 13.4 million,
      9) Tokyo 12.9 million,
      10) Antalya 12.4 million
These figures are from Mastercard International's survey btw

To all tourists, if you're wanna experience being in food heaven, make sure you visit night markets in KL or wherever in Klang valley. You'll be surprised of hundred varieties of delicious cooked food, Asian fruits and tasty drinks sold at night markets in KL and Klang valley. Google which areas around KL and Klang valley that hold night market tonight. We have night markets every night around KL and its vicinity. The famous one is at Jalan TAR near Sogo Mall. Or, you eat at Jalan Alor.

For u guys info when eating nasi lemak, we do mixed everything especially the sambal or sauce.. Then we mixed with chicken or anchovies with other dishes depends on your preferences.. But without the sambal, it doesn't taste like nasi lemak.. One more thing we malaysian would use the spoon to eat rice if we want to because easier to scoop the rice and other dishes if u don't want to get your hands dirty.. If ur going to eat nasi kandar, eat with ur hands so u can taste it better..

hi guys, local KL guy here.. In KL especially, its not really a problem to display affection to your partner, hugging, holding hands, some kissing.. especially if you are a married couple. its probably not such a good idea in the less urban areas, smaller towns, etc. as for the yellow clothing ban, that no longer exists.. the ban was put in place by a former prime minister who is now in jail for corruption. He banned the clothing because that was what protestors against him and his govt. wore during public demonstrations. hope you guys enjoyed your time in Malaysia and come back again soon.

19:24 It is "Siopao" in the Philippines.
Actually, these kind of steam buns are available in a lot of asian countries, and - as with the dumplings - also very popular & native in Europe (where we mostly eat steam buns sweet with some fruit or jelly in it, and also like Gyoza fried in a pan with a milk crust)
Would be interesting to find out if those two things all came from China (Baozi & Jaozi) or every country invented them on their own in their regions

just one more - thinking of losing your kids in a big mall - our first trip to Hawaii - 1988, our son was age 3, we are walking and talking and suddenly Ryan was not
in front of us. We back up in a hurry and there he was, he saw a small tree and decided he wanted to climb it. You think you are watching them all the time, but get

Malaysia only exports to singapore and China. Those durian in Asian supermarkets in North America are thai durian. Not fresh, frozen for ages. Cracked at the bottom. Inside skin turned brown(instead of white).

Hi Paul 👋 happy to help any way we can. There are many tips we can offer. Hopefully you don’t live far from a major airport. If you are able to be flexible with your travel, that is key to finding the most affordable options. Our kids do online school so we’re not locked into working around school holidays. There are always great flight deals somewhere. Sometimes it takes me a while to find the right deal but it’s out there.
We also believe in loyalty programs with airlines. Pick an airline that best suites your needs and sign up for their loyalty program and start racking up those points.
Another key factor for us is that my husband and I are able to work remotely. So we are making money as we travel.

Some people who loves durian don't really like foods/drinks contain durian because the taste of the durian is so overpowering that you can't taste other flavour, like durian chocolate for example, you can taste the durian but only slight taste of the chocolate in it... and it spoil the taste of the chocolate if that is what you expecting and also the durian taste since its mixed with (although slightly) others... so the question is what's the point to mix them together 🤷🏻‍♂️. But not everyone though, many like anything that has durian in it but many dislike other durian products while loving durian fruit by itself. As for me, I prefer the durian fruit by itself, still can tolerate durian based products but NOT liquid ones like durian coffee.

@@AlwaysBeChanging so if you are up to it, take note that Malaysian durian have many varieties and its different in term of taste, colour and texture wise. For beginners, there might be difficulties to differentiate if they are not used to it or should I say 'not yet in the level of appreciating' the taste of durian. The top tier is Musang King and Black Thorn because of its strong taste, thus not recommended for beginners. If you like a bittersweet taste, go for D24 (and it variants like XO, Buttermilk etc.) and sweet taste go for Udang Merah (lit. Red Prawn, Red is Merah in Malay, Prawn is Udang)... don't be surprised because it not actually red red but reddish yellow/orange. Good luck!
