Egg wrapping the patty is common, Malaysian style , our burger stalls have been doing this since day 1. Ramly has a humble beginning, he started with a burger stall, and now his burger become our one of our National food .
Ramly's burgers are a classic Malaysian delight!
Literally one of the best burgers I've had on my travels around the world. I was fortunate enough to have the owner and his mother make the burgers for me earlier this year.

the crack jacks popcorn we have that here in the us comes in bag box or tub with different flavors! but I stopped eatting them cuse unhealthy! and back in my day when i was a kid they had lil toys in them now all they give u is a lil paper with a comic and sticker and something to build

l ate Ramly Burger since 1990s.. Its a common wrapping with egg if u order special burger and black papper sauce also common.. Some stall put into peanut sauce (satay sauce).. But black papper sauce is a common with Ramly Burger

You should try the actual Ramly Burger Restaurant in Batu Caves when you were there before. The restaurant near the owner of the Ramly Burger the great Mr Ramly

Actually u can find Ramly Burger all around Malaysia. Each stalls have their own style of cooking and some create their own sauce.

The one you had in Langkawi was not the quintessential iconic "Ramly burger". Yes, the patties are made by Ramly, but the Malaysian favourite is the one called burger Ramly special, made fresh each time with patty wrapped in egg. The sauce combination and seasoning, as well as veg may vary from stall to stall, but any other "forms" other than the bun+egg-wrapped patty+sauces+vege with/out cheese are not the ones Malaysians rave about and recommend. So the one in Langkawi doesn't count, although not to discount the shop's burger style.
Looks like there's more to the Ramly burger story.

Nahhh, this is not purely Malaysian style Ramly burger. The next time you are in KL, you should go to Universiti LRT Station. There is one burger stall that sells great burgers with local taste. With cleaner ways of prep for sure.
