    For me it was really hard to take off the sway bar but you NEED to take it off before all the other bolts, you can either jack up the rotor, or jack up both sides of the car which I did to level off the sway bar and make it come out very easy. Since it’s connected on both sides of the car it will be hard to take out bcuz one side is jacked up and the other is not. Making the sway bar not level. Thought this small tip might help someone doing this for the first time👌🏼

      Hey man, just wanted to say thank you for this comment! I was stuck on the sway bar as it seemed like it wouldn't fit. But actually it was because only one side of my car was jacked up. I jacked up the other side and everything aligned perfectly, thank you

    First off I have to say, Thank you for your videos. You remind me of an old Serbian friend name Rafit, God rest his young soul. So thanks for bringing back those sweet memories. Second I appreciate the link to the parts in each video. I went to amazon to purchase the Struts and spring kit. I could not find a complete kit with springs sold as one unit from Delco GM parts. I do see were I purchase all 3 items (left, right, stabilizer). If possible can you please add a link to the springs. I'm having trouble locating factory part. Or may suggest a spring that works equally well for this car. I do not hot rod it. I drive long distance, and in the country (lots of pot holes) plus it is a standard 6 speed. Thank you Guys. I love your videos. Keep them coming.

    Greetings--For a 2015 Chevy Trax, how do you get to the top of the strut assembly on the driver side? Remove the box that's sitting on top of it? Do you have a video for that make/model? Thanks!

    How often should you replace your struts?

    • @julioherrera1443
      @julioherrera1443 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check them periodically throughout the year, like every few months. Apply a force at the corner where the strut is located to compress it down. Release the force load when the strut is compressed. The strut should not bounce. It should return to equilibrium quickly. If it is bouncing, that means the hydraulic damper (shock) is not functioning well and the coil spring is taking all the load, causing it to bounce.
      You can replace only the shock if you want. It’s a cheaper part, but you’ll be needing a press to install it. The strut assembly comes with the shock and coil spring, which a much easier installation. It will cost a bit more.
