Is there a way na pwede maging tubeless yan dito sa Pinas? The only thing holding me back on this bike is.... hindi sya tubeless. Ayoko magtulak ng ganyan kalaking motor pag naflat.
Motor ang solusyon, gibain ang lumang sistema! Kaya hopefully this January sana makabili na ako. BTW Zack, need ko po ung title nung kanta sa 6:06 (for research purposes). Thanks more power!
Nice bike! Is there any 500cc version of this bike, sir? I tried the Versys 650 version of my brother and it’s quiet high and heavy for me, eh. At 5ft 8in, 90 kgs, maybe a smaller bike would be ideal for me.
I am in Houston, Texas. Flat, lots of straight roads, long drive to some twisties, 6 feet tall, long torso, 30 inch inseam. We’re the transmission gears too close together. What was your favorite road bike? What would you buy?
Third party support has come a long way up to the current 2024. Check out my X300 dedicated channel for many videos on accessory installations and mods. Great review. Kawasaki has ignored the screaming for a Versys X400 or X450 or even an X500. The international market is filling the demand and Kawasaki better get on board or it will be left behind.
Talking about being overpriced, the Himalayan is too overpriced in the PH to justify buying it. The Himalayan costs only 120,000 pesos in India while it costs 270,000 pesos in the Philippines. That's more than double the price. Comparatively, the Bajaj Dominar costs around 100,000 pesos in India but only costs 165,000 pesos in the Philippines. That's only a 65% mark up. The RE Himalayan is a great bike if you take into account the price. It's an amazing bike in India because it is inexpensive. In the Philippines though would you still call it an amazing bike when it costs MORE than double it's Indian price? No, I would rather have the more reliable brands priced closer to 300k than the RE Himalayan. Basically if you buy in India, yes the Himalayan is a great buy... But buying it double the price overseas? Yeah no thank you.
For PHP270k its a fair price on my view. kawasakis or japanese brand bikes in general are known to have reputable quality.. contrary with those chinese made 'disposable' bikes they are all horrible!
@@bagatsinguyjr even common car brands such as toyota and honda are assembled in countries like indonesia and malaysia. but parts are always genuine from japan
Yea I test rode one last year. It's a great bike, but not for short guys like me at 5.5 I can barely touch the ground with that bike. I felt I was gonna drop it if I went off road lol.
I agree that the 400cc rule is ridiculous. Displacement is not always indicative of a bikes performance. They should base it on performance. The CBR150, R15, GSXR150 and RC200 can easily maintain 60 and 100kph which are the min and max speeds on our expressways.
Pero consider the weight and acceleration of those bikes. The wind bouncing off a bus at 100kph+ can push small vehicles aside, and the overtaking power of a 150/200cc bike is severely outmatched by the power of SUVs and pickups which usually drive very fast (120kph+) on the SCTEX and NLEX. With 250cc+ bikes, however, you might have enough weight and torque to keep up with small cars in the least.
I think 250cc would be a reasonable min. Do they base it on actual displacement or the name of the bike? Most of the time the actual displacement is less than the name. What about the Duke or RC 390? KTM chose the name 390 but could have just as easily named them 400. But then consider that LTO won't even register electric motorcycles, some of them have over 100 ft.-lbs. of torque.
It's based on actual engine displacement. But KTM, however, was given leeway during the registration of their Duke & RC390s because I would say an additional 30cc's of displacement is generally negligible in terms of overall power, so they were permitted somehow. The Yamaha R3, on the other hand, despite its weight & ability to keep highway speeds, lacks the extra displacement with its 320cc twin-cylinder motor. So for now, it's still illegal.
The papers do say 400cc if you intend on buying one. I've ridden with a Duke 390 owner on the expressway before, and it was fine at every toll booth. Thumbs up for KTM.
Hello ... I'm interested in buying versys x. I can't find it in Iloilo City. There's 2 main dealers in Iloilo. Motortrade and Duk Ek. Do you think it's possible to order from Manila. Thanks.
Hopefully we can see a vid between sa direct competition ng versys x, yung crf 250L rally. These bikes are good for touring, pero sadly di pwede sa highway :(
Expressways are for rich people the snobs of society. Those who can afford big bikes and cars. They look down on the ordinary folks who ride small displacement bikes. This is true and cannot be denied.
I love the bike and want one. but one thing I really hate when it comes to bikes is the wind noise. And what I hate about our country is the cc rule.. 250cc and 300cc is too low. Less bike options to choose from.
3 years ago a Vespa 250gt went for 280k c/o Granstar. The X300 used to be 257k then they brought up the price to 270k for 2018. BMW's g310 around 300k. I'm not saying that justifies it, but just pointing out value perception and a mindset. In Luzon the x300 isn't doing as well as they are targeting coz of the highway restrictions, not because of performance issues. In other parts of the country like in Mindanao and the Visayas, where the highway isn't an issue, this not the case and is doing well for Kawasaki, same for the rest of the world under that perspective. So to generalize a bike isn't worth close to a certain amount because of Cc's and because of a sweeping statement like "especially in the Philippines" is in my opinion not enough to conclude. I'm not speaking or addressing people just in Luzon. If you can explain to me through maybe your experience with it or its parts and efficiency as a whole compared to other bikes in the market why you think so, then perhaps a discussion can move forward....Its a bike doing well around the world at a price somwhat standard, plus minus depending on your country and tax...
Point well made, I guess I should say especially not in Luzon, though at that price I still don't think the bike lives up to the price tag. 270K is a lot of money and for that I would expect a hell of a bike. of course this is not my style of bike so... I guess I'm even more bias.
Everything that I only saw was, Dominar 400 is a good bike made for sporty ride, not so good for touring and doesn't have gear indicator, versys is a touring bike and has gear indicator, so hands on win for the versys!
270k seemed to be a fair price... only if it were not too close to the pricing of the ninja 400 which starts at 290+k? They should bring it back to at least 250k that way it would appeal to more audience here in luzon at least. Although I’m very well aware that those two do not compete in the same category but still.. there is that highway legality and increased power that most would not overlook for a bit more cash. Just saying. Each to his own. Kudos to kawasaki still ☺️👌🏻
For me, I will go for Versys 650, more features to offer. 👍🇵🇭
my first ever experience in adventure bike is this guy, I'm 5'5" and this is very comfortable and well balanced

Yep, I agree on the Expressway laws in PH. Pkibaba naman yung displacement requirement para sa mga 300cc variants.
"di sinasadya.. " galing magpanggap hahaha
Agree. Drop to 250cc for the expressway. BTW. I also like the Z300

How much does it cost in your country? ( In Brazil the ABS version is 8000 USD while for example the Yamaha fz 25 ABS is 5000)
It costs 270,000 local currency or 5400 USD. There's no ABS version here sadly.
