The fact we have NEVER seen a PRIME Spider-Man in the comics or mainstream adaptations is SOUL CRUSHING😭. The CLOSEST we have gotten Big Time Arc, Parker Industries and Renew Your Vows...but theres ALWAYS something MISSING to make it truly a Prime version of the character
I also thought of a Peter aged in fine wine, there so much one can get with a "Prime Spidey"... But not TOO old.

Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is an excellent character. Granted, from what I heard, he hasn't exactly been well written under Zeb Wells recently. Still, he is among the best characters in all of comics and fiction. While not exactly among the strongest superheroes out there, he is definitely among the smartest. As for his strength though, he is definitely very powerful among street level characters.

Best and most thorough Spiderman vid EVER!!! If the writers actually covered him accurately and consistently, he would be almost unbeatable. It would take a being like Thor, Silver Surfer, or Dr. Strange to beat him. Just with his suits alone, he could prep for the Hulk and maybe Iron Man. I remember him beating the Xmen by himself and the Fantasic Four not being able to take him down. However, they hardly ever write him accurately.

Spidey's strength can also be enhanced by his adhesion powers lending him superior leverage. Small detail writers who don't understand fighting overlook. Funniest was Ironman 2020 making Spidey mad, and he got demolished by a serious series Spider-Man.

Spider-Man was an experienced fighter before he learend martial arts and manage to fight on par with opponents without exposing his powers in public pulling to normal levels
Yeah but that was after decades of being a hero. He started his superhero career without any fighting experience, and relied entirely on his physical attributes. Nowadays he's very skilled.

Fun Fact: The older TSR Marvel Superheroes RPG used Classes to rank various aspects of each hero. It is still highly playable today and still matches the proper power hierarchy as it exists in the comics.

The fact that Spider-Man can stick to anything means that he is able to use his power more efficiently when punching. Talk about setting your feet when throwing a punch.
Very nice job doing the research and showing from actual comic pages many of Spidey’s abilities.
It gives context of what he has been shown to do.
That said, anything can change from writer to writer, from story to story.
If the editors of these comics allow it, Peter can do greater feats or less than depending on how his character is written.
The more years he’s around & the more stories are told, it can get difficult to stay consistent on his feats but your video gives a good parameter of what he can do. Nice!

His ability to grip any surface with his feet makes up for his light weight as he is still capable of transferring all that power from the ground or whatever surface he is on. This also increases his ability to accelerate to full speed. That's why he can catch a thrown car. If he couldn't grip the ground he wouldn't be able to catch it regardless of how strong he is as like tire tread, you need traction in order to express force onto a surface, otherwise the power only serves to slide around

Puri Puri Prisioner (early in the story).
Child Emperor (with basic equipment).
Zombieman

Maybe Metal Bat (if he can take him down before he gets enraged on his fighting spirit).
And he would probably defeat all Demon level threats. (Except Maybe Sonic, Bug God and Garou, but he is still likely to win).

Hey, I watched your first video on this as well. Great job on both, haven’t finished watching this but enjoying it as usual this far. Curious to see your thoughts on the new game and Peter’s feats and abilities in the game specifically and how he is in the insomniac verse in general. Would be a cool video.
With how the media poorly portrays Peter Parker these days (the latest game doesn’t exactly help either imo) this video is refreshing and was needed. A lot of people either forget or don’t know how strong and intelligent Peter really is these days and it shows.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was…something to say the least in terms of writing especially with how they handled Peter. Felt a bit rush and poorly executed at times to me.
Gameplay wise, I think Peter’s move set especially his default red and blue set could have been a lot better to showcase his strength and abilities as well. Web constructs for example. Also there were very few range of gadgets and they made Peter rely on Miles and Ganke (no disrespect to them) for things he could have easily created himself like in the comics so intelligence wise I also felt like he was lacking a bit.
Web Of Shadows still has the better gameplay for me in terms of default spider-man and symbiote spider-man gameplay as it does a better of job of portraying Peter’s combat abilities but MSM2 is second to it for me and a vast improvement to the first game.
Yeah Web of Shadows still got it beat when it comes to doing combos with the symbiote I would say! Overall enjoyment it's tough picking on which one game I like better though! Insomniacs spin on the Symbiote is really fun!

Spider-Man- while not being bulletproof or able to fly etc he has super strength that could rival the best of em. His punch is probably comin in at 6-10,000 PSI making it super feasible for him to literally punch through his rogues gallery. The fact he isn’t killing his enemies purely by accident is a testament to his mental prowess & physical control which is his true greatest strength. His ability to restrain his power, quip incessantly & outsmart his foes.

I think people just assume that his biggest lifts are his casual strength. He usually lifts the heaviest objects in extreme situations while pumped with adrenaline, so i think it's safe to say those moments are more equivelant to his 1 rep max(referring to the bigger feats like holding up the daily bugle) It's not like he can just casually go out and squat entire buildings anytime he wants to lol even so, i feel like he is still pretty underrated

Spider-Man is rated at being able to bench 10 tons, with the Symbiote its doubled to 20 tons. Sources? As you showed, Handbood to the Marvel Universe, as well as the RPG "Marvel Super Heroes".
Let me enlighten the masses, and you... it's called ARTISTIC LICENSE. Unfortunately, and usually for the cases of a story, writers can do... what's the phrase?... _whatever the hell they want!_ We've all seen it, in plenty of comics, where some character decides to go way beyond what is supposed to be their limit. Is it adrenaline? Is it some unknown upper limit? Did they drink a Red Bull, or do one intravenously of panel when no one was looking?! No, it's just a writer doing shit they shouldn't do, namely pulling shit out of their ass to make a story work. It's "Deus Ex Machina" to fulfill a script so they don't have to think to hard about how they basically F!@#ed up a story because they couldn't take the time to do it right. (You know, kinda like the end of "Civil War".) Can Captain America really stop a helicopter from taking off? HELL NO, he would let go or get his arms ripped off! Can Thor lift a planet? Pfffft, not even, that was some writer doing LSD and trippin' balls. Look at it this way: if a character doesn't have limits, boundaries, then what's the damn point? Captain America should be able to cold-cock Thor on any given day, right? Wrong. Thor wouldn't even notice Cap taking a shot at him, much less getting knocked the F out. What about Spider-Man knocking out Titania, or even Firelord?! Good question! Titania is way stronger than Spidey, rated at (iirc) MN-75 (Monstrous strength level, able to in excess of 75 tons, again iirc 85 tons), but he whooped her ass... well, that's because Spidey is ridiculously fast, agile, and has a "spider-sense" that keeps him from getting hit by said amazon on steriods and Red Bull. As for Firelord, who is rated at AM-50 strength (Amazing- can bench in excess of 50 tons), but also UN-100 (Unearthly- which is the same as Thor, doesn't really get tired, can take a shitload of punishment and still keep on truckin') stamina... is a hot-headed, arrogant dick, who like Titania couldn't lay a finger or flame on Spidey. Took a while, but Spidey wore him down. *Spider-Man has roughly the same agility as Firelord, who, I mean, yeah, does interstellar space travel... he's got agility, reflexes, hyper-senses... but in a fight he's basically a brawler, especially when he thinks he's going up against a nobody.* So yeah, Firelord got laid out by Spider-Man. It wasn't some case of Spider-Man eating his Wheaties that morning or took a case of Red Bull in the wrong pipe for a quick effect, it was that Spidey didn't get touched and touched Firelord A LOT, and didn't hold back. So why do we see Spidey lifting shit he really shouldn't be lifting??? Artistic License. Period. If you see the Hulk holding up a billion tons of mountain, it isn't that he reached Shift-X 200 strength level, its that Jim Shooter took "artistic license" and made it so. (Shooter was great, got a lot of hate when he shouldn't have, but Hulk holding up a mountain dropped on the superheroes in MSHSW was purely a PR stunt... "Look! The Hulk is as strong or stronger than Superman! 😃...no, just no... think of it as hyperbole.)
Bottom line: You can go by the limits and boundaries set, or you can play it deuces wild. Is this fantasy and sci-fi? Absolutely! But even in fantasy and sci-fi you have to have limits or boundaries, or anyone can do anything, and then it all means nothing.

Purely from a physical standpoint, spider silk has MANY different properties. It’s entirely plausible that a being with extremely above average human intelligence combined with the physical “powers” of a human sized spider, including silk production could quite conceivably create a melee weapon with the physical properties of a war hammer.

Spiderman is in the thousand tonner class. Meaning he should be functioning like Zombie Spiderman and ripping Venom, Carnage, Rhino, limb from limb. Spiderman's narratively suppressed like all good guys in order to make the bad guys seem like theyre a real threat when logically they never are an actual threat going off powerscaling and feats.

I personal think the class system should be a decimal range as in cap can lift in the 1 ton range with a a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 9. Spidey should be at a range of a minimum of 10 and a max of 90. Rhino a minimum of 100 and a max 900 etc. This is actually the most consistent way to scale most character that accpunts for spiderman regularly lifting things in the 40 to 50 ton range like picking up a train car or throwing a tanl which he has. Cap is supposed to be at around the 1 ton range but he has supported wieghts in excess of 4 tons in a few stories so the 1 to 9 range I think is fair.

I mean you say the writer for smoking crack when he beat firelord but firelord is the physically weakest herald and Spider-Man has consistently done well against the Silver Surfer when they have fought (even though Silver Surfer is a pacifist) shoot Spider-Man even temporarily knocked out Carnage Silver Surfer (Silver Surfer fighting back against allowing Spider-Man to speed blitz barrage attack him until he went down though). Also would have been nice if you would have mentioned Rhino from the 60s to late 80's was just as much of a Hulk villain as he was a Spider-Man villain to show where his strength really is (Rhino has even beat grey Hulk before). But besides that the only thing I thought you missed was stuff like him consistently characters like Titania and Absorbingman who are the Things level of strength and higher.

You know why spiders don't grow as big as a human? Their bones aren't made of titanium, not even calcium, they're made of chitin, a natural nitrogen, water and sugar polymer used for exoskeletons in insects, spiders and crustaceans, it wouldn't support their own bodyweight let alone lift 50x their own weight at human scale. In reality Spider-Man's calcium bones would be crushed under the weight of a subway car.

All this is canon as well which is the crazy part. Like a lot of Batman’s feats for example are no longer canon because of the writers, but because MOST of Peter’s feats get carried over even with dimension swapping and stuff, he rlly keeps most of these insane powers and gadgets we’ll almost never see again.
Also on another note this is why Marvel is better than DC. The Justice League finds out that the human surrounded by literal gods has contingency plans and they’re mad because he didn’t tell them he had the plans and betrayed their trust. The Avengers and literally every other superhero all just create contingency plans for each other and NEVER say anything about it because they know it’s the smart thing to do. DC heroes get taken over every other 2 days and get mad because the regular human has plans to stop them. Marvel heroes get taken over every 2 months and understand why Spider-man hs a contingency plan for even Hawkeye😂
