These episodes EASILY deserve a spot on Golf Channel. They're so professionally shot and directed all while being genuine and authentic. Keep up the phenomenal work Erik. Each video y'all put out makes me want to drop everything and play a round.
@@DonLounsbury That's interesting because I live in Dundee which is exactly inbetween both courses, my course (Downfield) was a final qualifier for the Open at Carnoustie.
This episode was a lot of fun to watch. You seem to have a really great sense of just the right amount to show to set up the story without it getting too long winded. Makes for great pacing. It's wild to see a golf course like this with virtually no trees but as the teaser for next episode hinted, beware when the wind blows.
I told someone in Ireland I was Irish. He told me the USA is the only place in the world that doesn't understand the difference between ancestry and nationality. He said, "No you're an American of Irish ancestry, not Irish."
@@DonLounsbury well that someone sounds pretty stupid, because of course you don't think you're actually from ireland. what he said is literally what you meant, you were born in america yet you have irish roots.
If you’re there you need to play the Macrihanish golf club, absolutely incredible, first tee shot is hitting straight over the bay and it’s amazing from then on. Plus their clubhouse burned down last year and they need all the support they can get👍
I’ve done exactly the same tour 7 years ago. Rented a Morgan and drived around some hidden gems as Machrihanish, Siskine and Prestwick. Greatest golf of my life.
Absolutely need to visit Scotland and these courses. The people seem amazing and the courses seem stunning. Thank you Erik and Alex for providing this content to view these courses before going and experiencing them.
So glad your playing the old course, I took my parents over a few years back as my Mum was a war (WW2) evacuee there. Played both courses and the old / the real course is just spectacular. What a trip (we’re now in the North East of Scotland), it’s a brute to get to but so worth it.
Eric, all your episodes are amazing with a great balance of showing the course scenes, nice music and interesting comments. I really enjoy watching the episodes and can just envoy on your job :)
So good as usual. That blind green was amazing looking! Alex's putt that rolled all the way back less so. HA HA! Great stuff. Scotland has been on my bucket list, but every episode bumps it up a few notches.
this is one of my favourite golf courses and golf experiences we where there on a Saturday night middle of summer 4 good friends a 6 hour hour round just taking everything in, another of the must play if you come to Scotland
Love your channel Erik, you and whoever it is that helps you with your vids deserve all the best in the golf, cinematography and life highlights applicable!
These films are just terrific. Shiskine, Mach Dunes & Machrihanish GC all feature in my book, The Golf lover's Guide To Scotland (as does Dunaverty GC, which is just 20 minutes down the road from Campbeltown). It's great to see them all captured so wonderfully. Looking forward to next week's instalment and the rest. Keep doing what you're doing!!
This video is awesome! I got goosebumps as I once stayed in a B&B visible in the drone shot at 1:40. I played Machrihanish Golf Club when I was there, which is another awesome track. In your opening tee shot, you hit over a little inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks, Erik, for bringing back some awesome memories. Your videos really bring out the best in golf and the golf community.
I like the Machrihanish golf club's logo with the bird. So cool! Also, amazing how long these courses have been around. Cool to think about people playing a century ago.
Yet another top echelon post Erik. As if I wasn’t enough in love with the game of golf, (admittedly a little hate too,) each of your vlogs makes me love it more. The quality is bar none. Add Alexandra and there is no match! Keep posting and I’ll keep watching.
I played there a few years back and the police officer was my caddy! 😂 so awesome to see them again and see their doing well. What an awesome course that was
Random Golf Club Films haha that’s gold, he definitely did his best, but I’m not used to the winds and blind shots. I also stayed in the same place as you guys, what a flashback. Awesome video. My Facebook profile picture is me hitting into the ocean there.
Loving the videos, incredible to see parts of Scotland I’ve never been to. Can I just say though having lived here 3 years I have NEVER seen it this sunny 😂 let alone twice, as it was in your last vlog too. If you can visit all the time and bring that LA sun I would be most welcome. Love Sam sat in 14c Edinburgh in July...
Great content Eric. I played Machrihanish as a lad - played 36 holes then nearly crashed the car on the way home as we were so tired. (fun fact - the backup landing strip for the space shuttle was adjecent to the golf course iirc)
@@RandomGolfClubFilms if you ever make it up here don't skip on the prairies, especially elk ridge resort in saskatchewan. boreal forest golf at it's finest.
I like beautiful things in life .. I'm Irish I've never once played a Scottish course but my god u don't half sell them in your videos. Your camera work is next level and your content is so entertaining and natural well done yank 🤭
Wonderful golf course! The last time I asked for Haggis the way you pronounced it in a supermarket in Angus, I was shown the egg shelf ;) It goes along with "hug" - say "Huggis"! And it's delicious - loved to have it for breakfast, instead of Black Pudding :o)
Man I never though I would pay that much for a golf glove, but Asher limited one was worth it after trying it on, plus it looks cool. These course have been amazing to see you play.
I appreciate the music EAL uses in his videos. Fifty years ago there was a group called "The LA Jazz Cats." Their sound was similar to the background music in these videos. Thank heaven a cut above the groaning, gasping and cooing robo music that is under many golf videos.
Machrihanish Dunes fact one: The Sheep logo you see on flagsticks are actually part of the greenkeeping team at the course. At certain times of year you can see them on your way round. Fact two: Mach dunes was built on a National Conservation site, this meaning that when the course was built, there was no use of any heavy equipment to shape the land and layout of the course.
Had my tee time booked for the Championship Course booked on May but oh well we know the rest of this story. Plus the day we were supposed to play was no wind and 26 degs. Bugger
Hey Erik (And random golf team), do you think you'll ever get a European retailer of your merch? I'd love to get something but the $20/30 delivery fee and whatever the import tax will be is a off putting :/
Course looks amazing but not sure about the tricked up greens with swails and hollows all over them! Getting to the green is hard enough without having overly large buried elephants under the greens!
These episodes EASILY deserve a spot on Golf Channel. They're so professionally shot and directed all while being genuine and authentic. Keep up the phenomenal work Erik. Each video y'all put out makes me want to drop everything and play a round.
They deserve a spot but I’d rather have them on TH-cam just sayin
I love the way an American just loves our beautiful country
Love might be an understatement

I was supposed to play Carnoustie yesterday, and the Old Course again today. Really bummed. Love Scotland

didnt expect to see cub here! whats this?
I could listen to you narrate and watch Alexandra play golf all day.
When you guys get engaged, you should throw a RBP Random Bachelor Party, thank me later.
Those drone shots are absolute fire! The deer at the start! 100% Production value!
I was wondering how silent the drone must have been for the deer not to bother...
There are so many things about these videos that are wonderful. Don't want to talk about them... just want to watch. Thanks Alexandra and Erik.
The two Scottish policemen just sitting and having coffee at the golf course were awesome
I can't believe I'm Scottish and I've never been here, just checked Google and it's a 4 hour drive for me - guess I'll have to book a trip next week!

Haggis sounds scary, but it's delicious, well worth a try.

You missed a trick not having haggis. It's really nice.

Do them seperately in my opinion, you'd ruin a lot of the golf experience just by being hungover everyday after enjoying a malt too many.
