- Here it is, The Campfire Song from The Lightning Thief! Thank you so much to everyone who watched, liked, and left comments on the My Grand Plan animatic that I did nearly three years ago- this would not exist if not for you guys inspiring me to do more! I plan on doing at least one more Percy Jackson animatic, plus more musical animatics. Let me know what you want to see in the comments!

I love how Percy seems to question his existence in almost every scene. Especially the one where he pays Grover’s back.

I mean bro just entered camp with almost no one explaining nothing to him. And he watched his mom die just a few days ago here, i'd be questioning my existence too 😂
@@meatymaggot technically it wasn’t a few days ago for him since he was unconscious, right?
@@Altcrit True but it would feel that way for him. Since I am guessing he was unconscious for about three days since in the book Percy talks about waking up three different times until he truly woke up. I'm guessing he was at camp for maybe 4 days by the time he woken up since this song does take place from when he first woke up. But he is given a quest after about a full week of being in camp. So in all Percy probably spent 11 days in camp if we don't count the ending. But I would probably say still a couple of days after his mom died (Likely 4 days)
okay things i love about THIS ONE:
-Luke doing little flappy bird hands when describing his dad’s shoes
-the lighting getting REALLY dramatic and Zuko-y when Luke stares into the fire
-annabeth throwing grover the bread and him catching it in his mouth like they’ve done that a thousand times
-percy’s RIGHTFUL confusion about how annabeth exists if athena’s sworn off guys, that won’t be resolved until BOOK FOUR 😂
-You can see percy gradually becoming more comfortable with everyone through his face and
body language
-katie and selena BOTH inflicting bodily harm upon beckendorf while singing
-katie you are WAY too young to be driving, come on now
-grover’s adorable index finger thing
-annabeth and luke’s shared look of “oh no grover’s getting sad about pan again, what do we do” but then it turns out percy’s got it
-but percy does NOT got it so he asks chiron about his dad to distract grover and it works!!!! grover is fine by the time chiron is done talking but PERCY IS NO LONGER FINE
-the campfire does the thing it does in the books!!!!!!!!
-everybody falling over from the INCREDIBLE aphrodite cringe, which is frankly worse than the kronos eating his kids thing
-percy is SO SAD ABOUT HIS MOM, I MUST PROTECT HIM
-percy’s face journey in the verse about his dad
-the way the mud he kicks drips down the camera
-luke is definitely flirting with selena a lil bit which is a deep cut reference to book 5
-clarisse sharpening a spear the the background the whole time😂

Dang- you are so good at nailing my inspiration for stuff- I totally was referencing a Zuko shot for Luke in that one shot 😂 And oops, guess I did kinda pick on Beckendorf 🤣🤣 sorry buddy! One of my favorite things with these animatics is putting in all the small details and references to things that happen in the books, and I absolutely love seeing people pick up on them!!
I’m pretty sure Katy is actually 16 in this which is around the age one would be when they start learning to drive.
3:18 can we take a moment to appreciate Beckendorf’s face
Katie’s angry foot stomp is so cute!!! And Silena squishing Beckendorf’s face, and everyone’s reactions when she gets to the “nightie” part is just perfect!!!
The absolute love of the books is so evident in all the little details and Easter eggs....THIS IS the Percy Jackson Fandom

I like how the musical really makes Luke feel like a “I don’t want to hurt people, but it’s for the greater good” sorta character. Like, I always had that sort vibe from him in the books already, but it feels very accentuated in the musical, yknow?
Also Katie (I think that’s how her name is spelt, she’s the Demeter girl for anyone who forgot) looks so cute in this. Also wow you’re good at drawing braids-

This animatic was GORGEOUS! I also adored your last PJO animatic with ‘My Grand Plan’ and you outdid yourself once again here! I’m absolutely in love with all of the character designs, the details from the books such as the fire growing with the mood of the campers and passion of the singing, the charming additions like Grover eating Annabeth’s bread and Percy kicking dirt into the fire rather than food. This was phenomonal and you should be damn proud of yourself; I know I am!

It's kinda cute that in almost of the animatics of this song, Grover goes to Percy when starts crying and Percy's kinda like "there,there"
I just want to point out the details that you made extra silent breaks in the song so it'd fit the animatic. Plus, such a good idea to use the campfire as the representation of the campers' moods.
And I loved the part where Grover just cried in Percy's arms

This song foreshadows Luke's betrayal better than the book honestly
I absolutely love this animatic, all of the characters' movements and facial expressions convey so much emotion
Somehow this passed me by while I was looking for new TLT Musical animatics. It's SO GOOD. I hope you keep making animatics, because your attention to detail is really great. I love all the kids we know showing up.

With Luke at the end? Oh, absolutely! I had the shot in my head for a while, but it was definitely the hardest one to actually draw out. So glad you liked it!!
Where you can see so eloquently that he’s raised these kids up and helped them feel good about themselves. Gah I didn’t need my heart anyway. Honestly if the series emphasizes that he makes his troops feel good and feel heard even as leader of the Titan army it would work to solidify his motives as being centered around the maltreatment and neglect demigods have to endure. Constantly ignored, shafted, or pushed around to be playthings barely worth notice.
This is literally amazing. Also anyone else find Luke and silenas voices oddly pleasing. And Luke doing a twirl at the end with Silena and spinning annabeth was such a cool touch. I also love annabeth and Luke’s panicked looks after Grover starts to talk about pan. This is just gorgeous

@@nicolegrimes383 Preston is the only child of pheme (cause she refuses to be the mother of another disappointment) Pheme took one look at her child and was disappointed by the way he looked (he’d look half handsome, and would look like his father more then his mother) and declared to never interact with her son (which would probably be easy for a god)
Preston is a nice kid, but is very insecure. Ever since his mom left him and his father passing away, he tries to live to his mother’s expectations. Unfortunately he’s sort of cowardly, but tries to be brave. He always fears that his mum is watching him and gossiping about any bad thing he might of did
He also has super hearing (like his mom) he can hear any conversation in camp (but he knows not to tell anyone what he hears) he can also hear the gods, but only try’s to listens to his mother voice, and hear about some gossip she hears about random topics.
He also try’s to make friends with powerful/popular/unique halfbloods so he can feel somewhat appreciated for once in his life.

This is honestly my favorite The Camp Fire Song animatics because the animation is so smooth and the drawings are absolutely amazing. Anytime I think of this song I automatically think of this. Your art style is very memorable and I'd honestly kill to have skills like that. You put expression into the characters when you drew them so you can tell what they think just by looking at them. Especially Luke and Percy. You can tell how much pain Luke has gone through just by watching his movements and eyes ( I really loved the side view drawing of Luke ) and Percy looks so confused and even a bit uncomfortable because he just came to camp and everyone is singing about how much they hate their parents. If somebody watched this and didn't even read Percy Jackson, they can probably tell this guy is super confused just by the first minute of the video. I also love the part where Percy sings he looks more angry than all sad and gloomy. Now when I hear the song I hear him mad rather than upset just because of this animation and I LOVE it. You're one of the best artists I have ever seen and I won't be changing that fact. ❤❤

I really like the amount of emotino that you showed with the characters. Mainly when Percy starts singing about his mom. At this point in the story he's still trying to recover from his mom's death and the little movements and the focus on those really showed that!

Eric: My dad is Eros you know has him as Cupid. So you’d I’m a lovey-dovey kid. Really I think Valentines Day is stupid oh nooo. When he married Pshyce he thought he was done and then forgot that he had a son.
Becky: The moon goddess Artemis she hates kids. And then she had me surprise plot twist. She didn’t want others to know I exist oh nooo. So instead of just locking me up. She went and tried to beat me to a pulp.
Vitel: My mom’s Nike goddess of victory. I’ll always win so no need to worry. But if I don’t then she’ll make bloody oh nooo. Guess I’m just lucky I don’t live with her. Cause if I did I’d go insane for sure.
My favorite part of this is how expressive you made the carecters. You put so much detail into it, it's like thier faces changed with every word they said. Great Job!!!!!!!
