It's hard to be treasonous to someone that you've never had loyalty to in the first place. In the story Percy's dad had a bit of a excuse to try and keep him alive, but most of the gods in these stories are just the worst. The only reason I don't root for Cronus is because he would make it even worse than them. Not that they have any positive qualities there. Living breathing. Horrible. I'm willing to root for the heroes but the gods that supposedly hold up the system need to be spotted by their own powers over and over again several hundred billion times.

Even when your parents are omnipotent otherworldly beings, they can still be as neglectful as any normal human. Zeus basically invented abandonment issues by decreeing that gods weren’t allowed to even interact with their offspring, much less even pop in now and again to reassure them that they aren’t alone.

I’m kind of disappointed that they basically left this musical on a cliffhanger with everyone getting ready for a war instead of Luke getting taken down by Percy. I don’t know how the books translated into the musical, but that wasn’t a very good way to have it end.

I love that little detail of Percy's singing, while everyone focuses on how bad their lives are and their divine parents, Percy thinks about his mother on top of everything else, her little quircky details, what she likes, you can tell, in that exact moment, he really misses her

I love how well you portrayed their actual ages! How Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are supposed to be like- I think 12 years old? And then how Luke looks around 18 (it’s been a while since I read the book lol) but it’s so accurate and I love it
The Musical Nerd Luke is nineteen at this point. When getting to CHB, Annabeth was 7, Thalia was 12 and Luke was 14, then this is five years after that. Hope that clears things up.

Braeden Smethers When do they say this in the musical? Also they are not the same age, Travis is a couple of years younger than Luke but he and Connor are both older than Percy, he’s dating Katie so for simplicity’s sake we’ll say they have the same birth year, and Travis went to college in 2010. The average US teen goes to college at 18, so Katie would be a year or two older than Percy and Annabeth.

She may not have any children in the series as far as I know, but she may have heard a lot from the demigods and satyrs.
Many are technically her nieces and nephews who were neglected by her family.
I wonder if this was another reason for her to remain a virgin goddess with no children.

I like how Luke kinda planted the idea of turning against there parents with his song. But when Percy changes the chorus he grows angry/annoyed when the centre of attention is no longer on him. Also while Luke’s version of the chorus is about how much there lives suck Percy’s acknowledges it but says he just happy there all together. All in all this was really well made and fits well within the world.
