I enjoyed this video, thanks. In the fall of 2022, I wanted to give myself a nice retirement gift for my future hobby in music production. I had a lot of fun trying to decide whether to get the Komplete 14 bundle, and which version. There were so many instruments and effects that I wanted that made at least the Ultimate bundle worth it to me: Kontakt 7, Ozone 10, Raum, Replika, Playbox, Sequis, Ashlight, Straylight, Pharlight, Mysteria, Thrill, Action Strings, East Asia, Session Bassist, Noire, Piano Colours, Mallet Flux, Session Guitarists, and Guitar Rig Pro. I opted for the collectors edition to get Arkis, Lores, Knifonium, Choir Omnia, and Cremona Quartet. Of all of these, I am most pleased with Noire, my goto piano, Mallet Flux, which delights me every time I play it, Arkis, which is simply beautiful, and Session Guitarist Electric Mint, which is very cool.
i have the komplete 11, ill upgrade to 14 during sale in the summer, from what i saw ill get a bunch of new stuff, new guitar pro new kontakt new massive, its worth it for me at least. got the standard one forgot what is called.
NI helpfully 😱 shows my prices in £... The £ has been falling off a cliff for the past year and the UK's mini budget sealed its fate. And it may not have reached bottom yet although it is at its lowest against the $ for 50 years...
Good sounds out of Massive X. I have an earlier Komplete version, I think 12 Ultimate. I have bought extra NI parts along the way. One issue is that 14 apparently has a lot of new orchestra type sounds but I already have a lot of Spitfire, Heavyocity and many more. And I have a zillion software synths. I will probably only upgrade to the new Kontakt 7.
Hi - Yes, there's no point in upgrading unless you actually want the new stuff. If we buy sample librariues going forwards, I think we'll need Kontakt 7. I just like playing with new synths and sounds 😱 You are more sensible than I... 😊
If you have only upgraded to version 13 in like the last few weeks, you may get the upgrade to 14 for FREE. This offer would not show up under offers. You would have to talk to customer support…
I understand your train of thought :) I personally won't upgrade from 13 -> 14 just yet. the upgrade price they want for giving me Plugin Alliance and Izotope products I already own isn't very appealing
Hi Glenn - Absolutely. I suspect the upgrade from 13 to 14 will be a real toughie for most users. I don't think I would do it and didn't upgrade from 12 to 13.
Hi Ian..very helpfull for me, l will upgrade from 13 Ultimate to Collectors Edition because of the cheap update price and the impressing list of high quality instruments and the good NI update and admin functions, thanks for a fair and realistic look👍. I like the new GUI from Acess, at the moment, Absynth is installed at the moment, Is it still available after upgrading?
Hi - Thank you very much, glad you found it useful. If you already have Absynth then I'm guessing you'll still have it after the upgrade - I can't see NI uninstalling it 😄 However, it won't be included in the bundle now for anyone buying Komplete 14 for the first time. A strange decision...
Yes, the upgrade doesn't take into account anything you've already bought. You get no credit for being a loyal customer... It's really not worth buying individual instruments during the year if you can possibly wait.

I have the 13 CE there are some NI plugins I have bought that I will have to sell before upgrading
