    How sad that this was his last movie released posthumously shortly after his tragic suicide. He was averaging about 6 movies a year for the last 2 years. I'm sure after this movie and with this song being a smash hit, he was destined to become a major star.

    Amazingly enough I looked up information about his first wife actress Aleta Freel. She committed suicide (age 28) in 1935 while married to Alexander. According to Henry Fonda who was the best man at their wedding she was despondent over Alexander's multiple affairs with other woman while they were married. He killed himself just 13 months later after he married his second wife actress Anne Nagel. She died young as well. She was only 50.
