    I love everything about the CF-19...I have a MK7 and it is a Tank. I take it everywhere I wouldn’t dare to bring my MackBook Pro.

    Will Panasonic stop supporting or making parts for the CF-31? I have a Motorola ML910. Great laptop I love it but Motorola no longer supplies parts for it and doesn't support it so when it breaks it's going to be just a big paper weight. I don't want that to happen to a cf-31 I'm planning on purchasing

    you never told us what the fins are for on the side of the screen!? and why do i see that some units dont have them?

    • @Bobjohnson
      @Bobjohnson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question, The side black covers that will have fins on some models, while not having on other models lets you know which models have Broadband cards. So the side covers with fins were units that when purchased brand new had the broadband card installed. The units that have the standard covers that hug the case did not. They did not have any other real use other than cosmetic.

    Used hundreds of CF18’s and hundreds of CF19’s and the CF19 mk8 is the best….and nothing wrong with the latch

    What's the name of the cable from the diagnostic port on the cf31? Trying to get one to connect to my freightliner cascadia truck with obd2.

      You could use either a USB _or_ a *"serial"* OBD-II adapter, the 9-pin port is a serial port.

      Most of the CF-19s are basically the same. Not much of a different laptop over the MK5, MK6 or MK7. Thanks for watching.

    Hey all. I have a problem that's driving me mad. I normally don't have problems re-installing Windows on computers. However, I'm not sure what I'm missing. I have a CF-19 Mk4 Toughbook. I bought it on eBay and it came pre-loaded with a bunch of shady automotive diagnostic hardware. It looks like they installed Windows 6 times on the system for different brands of vehicles. It also appears they have a custom boot loader or something like that and it asks for a password before I get the option of which OS to boot into. Its a bizarre setup.
    Anyways, I want to do a clean install of Windows 7. It looks like it came with Windows 7 32 bit, but I don't fully know if that is the factory image or if whoever had this before me installed it after the fact.
    I'm trying to install W7 64 bit. I have a bootable USB drive already made and I can verify it works. I get the "Windows is loading files..." screen and then after about 10 seconds, it says "Starting Windows" and the system just reboots and loops. It is my understanding that this laptop has a 64-bit CPU as it supports 8 GB of RAM. Is it possible this system only supports booting 32-Bit Windows?
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

      @@Bobjohnson Thanks, but I managed to figure it out. I had upgraded from 4 GB of RAM to 8 GB. Apparently, the modules I installed aren't supported by the computer. It threw me off because the computer would POST and I was able to get into the BIOS. After much trial and error, I decided to try reverting back to the original modules and that worked out fine. Thanks again. Lesson relearned: Make sure RAM upgrades work with your particular laptop.

    Stylus touchscreen is not so comfy, need to calibrate. Swivel screen is clockwise. Battery life is better than Apple? Keyboard is not as comfy as IBM. But outraged, manhandled for rock and eq music is superb, esp the RV enviroment?
