I love how things are always super easy when you do it, yet i just spend almost two days trying to figure it out by myself...

the more you problem solve the faster you will get. It takes time and loads of modeling :)

I was just wondering how to achieve this. Great timing and amazing tutorial as always. Thank you PF!

i think for the future it would be nice to have some preset feature as in fusion, but the thing that could be really wonderful, is somthing to generate patterns on surfaces, like in rhino with grasshopper hehe
Oh and thanks for your videos ! you made me bought plasticity after some hésitation :p

A few of us have asked for Presets and the Dev seemed open to it... so hopefully it will be something in future builds.

I was trying to achieve scaling at the start of the thread but I can’t get it perfect. Looking for a solution.

are you looking to taper the shaft and the threads

I wonder how to do spiral along circle curve

    • @Pixelfondue

Dont think that is an option atm

Unfortunately, this "reversal" of the thread using Boolean - Intersection (Shift+E) does not work for me - the thread still remains not "reversed". maybe because you have an early version of Plasticity and I already have 1.3... I tried to do it in many ways with selection but with no result..... hmmmm.....

seems to be working here. can you record a video showing your process?

Had the same problem. I backed up, rebuilt the spiral leaving space between the loops of the spirals and when I tried again the Boolean operation worked fine. Frustrating when it doesn't work though, I know, I'm still struggling along myself.

One of the reasons I can't switch from Fusion. I do a lot of threads in my models. It's soooooooooooooo much easier in Fusion

Cool... It's great that you have that in your toolkit.
