I do find it terribly sad that these old headstones and mausoleums are not maintained though because it’s history that will be forgotten. I was thinking that perhaps the two woman may have been Mother Mary and Mary Magdalen. There are some people on TH-cam in America that go around the cemetery’s over there & they repair the headstones voluntarily. Whenever I wander through a cemetery I usually try to think back to when the individuals were actually buried. Those before the 1900’s would have been brought to their resting place by horse drawn carriages! That blows my mind! Thanks for all of the hard work you both provide! ❤😊
I'm not a religious woman, yet I am a spiritual one. When I come across a grave that seems neglected or damaged from ages, I say lament to give peace to the desecration, whether purposefully or not. I also wear a talisman ( 20" chain with several added charms either gifted or anointed). I wish I could run my hands on the stone walls 🧱 or on a 500 year old gravestone. You are a blessing, Sue, and gifted to immortalize the forgotten ❤

Amazing video of fascinating cemetery. It is confusing as to who or how many are in those mausoleums, but it is sad to see their possible desecration. My brother has showed me photos of cemeteries in Lithuania; there are the most beautiful grave markers. Thank you Sue.

how absolutely terrible if people tossed trash in that mausoleum and it wasn't just blown in! the disrespect... my mother technically owns a cemetery and i've helped her with upkeep where i can when i can, so seeing damaged and desecrated resting places makes my blood boil when it's not just the natural wear from time.

stumbled on your channel. Loving all those old churches that I will never see in real life. In Canada we think a 100 year old church is ancient, but to see churches from the 1200's is amazing.
You see so many dilapidated crypts and gravesites, I was wondering if the desecration affects how you’re planning for your own final arrangements. I’m leaning toward cremation for myself. None of my business if you don’t want to answer. Thanks for the video.
Burial processes & properties/cemeteries from 200yrs ago don't wholly reflect procedures today. After having worked as a gravedigger, cremation didn't seem such a bad idea
They should make laws that would keep cemeteries clean and taken care of anywhere in the world. They are final resting places for people . A beautiful place you are showing ,if they could just preserve it better.
So what the heck happened inside the crypt you showed with the skulls? People got in and desecrated the bodies and coffins? All the trash? Geez even in Ireland?

Amazing video of fascinating cemetery. It is confusing as to who or how many are in those mausoleums, but it is sad to see their possible desecration. My brother has showed me photos of cemeteries in Lithuania; there are the most beautiful grave markers.

I do have one question, have you done any videos in or near County Caven and seen any McCabe gravestones? They are my ancestors on my Mother's side and I am itching to see a headstone or anything really with their surname on it. how absolutely terrible if people tossed trash in that mausoleum and it wasn't just blown in! the disrespect... my mother technically owns a cemetery and i've helped her with upkeep where i can when i can, so seeing damaged and desecrated resting places makes my blood boil when it's not just the natural wear from time.
Exactly, whatever about natural decay but to throw rubbish in like that is terrible

You see so many dilapidated crypts and gravesites, I was wondering if the desecration affects how you’re planning for your own final arrangements. I’m leaning toward cremation for myself. None of my business if you don’t want to answer. Thanks for the video.
Burial processes & properties/cemeteries from 200yrs ago don't wholly reflect procedures today.
After having worked as a gravedigger, cremation didn't seem such a bad idea

They should make laws that would keep cemeteries clean and taken care of anywhere in the world. They are final resting places for people . A beautiful place you are showing ,if they could just preserve it better.

I noticed that, with many of these mausoleums, there is no stone floor. Is this to facilitate shroud burials? As in; Dust thou art, and to dust, thou shalt return.....
